Sehr GUT!!!! Aaaaagh, these are my absolute FAVORITE breed, I want one so badly. :'( Don't have the money for a precious puppy, though. While I'd accept any color, longhair black & tans are my favorite. I'd want a male; I'd name him Gibson. I really recommend anyone watching this video, that doesnt have a dog, but might be considering getting one, to invest in a Dachshund. They're loyal, and very protective. My dog Oscar is defintely the best pet I've ever owned.

dachshunds years ago were hunters and they were well maybe ferocius is not the word but these breed hunt down almost anything they see they can kill badgers and if u think about it badgers are fricken mean and ferocuis my dachsund will chase something and go missing for days but then comes back home on his own with a dead bunny or skunk in his mouth.

Every year I go to the spring fiesta and Ocktoberfest Dachshund friendship club in NYC , and my Lola and I always have fun going . The Dachshund is the best breed of a dog to have . They are very smart and clever !

always use a harness with your dachshund. They have a tendency to pull, then they start to choke. They are just sooo happy to be outside with you. I have a small collar with her name and my cell phone # on it. When we go outside she wears a harness with her vet/rabies tag on, and a nice adjustable leash. They are little runners! You will never have a problem when you use the harness. Get a real one, not a cutsie pretend one. Good luck. Maggie Mae's person
