also about masonite I heard you should paint both sides of exterior grade, and I would try and glue down to keep from warping outdoors, and a few screws/nails or even staples whatever you want to use. sand angle underneath for smoother transition even on metal baseplate if you use one you can get a grinder and get smoother transition. I love DIY ramps, I build halfpipes and make money on side doing so. I love learning about how to build bigger better ramps.

invest in quality ramp plans, draw all ramps b4 you build them, measure them to scale. Example 1 inch for every foot on paper, figure out measurements, then make cuts, use cheapest materials possible but best materials don't overdo it, lifetime warranty deck screws from home depot 3'' 5lb box $30 good enough to build a halfpipe, don't buy smaller boxes if you want to do big jobs, they even make like huge buckets for under $100 bucks if you wann save even more money. Screws never strip, best ever
