I know I'm really late to this coversation but here's something I have to say. If all of you guys are horse racing fan, especially one person. I wouldn't call Rachel ANYTHING. She has done what she has supposed to do and thats to run and do her best at everytime she races. She lost couple of races but she never place last. She placed 2nd 3 times in 2010 which is not bad. She didn't do anything to you to call her Overrated. She's a good horse and that's it. She had the heart to prove it.

Some of you guys are the biggest retards I've heard. "Rachel didn't race anyone" LOL. Well, neither has any horse then. Neither has Zenyatta then. LOL. Both of these horses have beaten the best there is. What do you want them to do? Rise Point Given or Citation from the dead? They've beat who they've faced. A mere 3 years ago a 3 year old filly named Rags to Riches put together what forever will be the most powerful year a 3 year old filly has ever forged, topping it off with a victory over your (east coasters) beloved Curlin in the MILE AND A HALF Belmont Stakes. I think people on both sides of the Rachel debate have things they can take from this race. If you're a Rachel fan (as I am) you like the 105 Beyer without having to use the stick. If you're a Rachel-basher (RB) or Angry Zenyatta Fan (AZF) then you can focus on Rachel beating inferior competition by only three lengths. There's something for everyone here.

Last year when she won more GI's than any other horse, you people said she was beating no one. It clearly does not matter whom she beats or where she races, some people will criticize her because they are idiots! Whether she breaks records held by Ruffian or nearly breaks track records held by Secretariat, it won't matter. Unless she beats ultra-weak Cali horses by a nose you all won't be satisfied.

@duhru4real The reason they are going from ungraded to G1 is because it put her on a five week schedule, the same schedule that made her successful last year. Lady Secret->PE->Bedlame->BC all 5 week entervals. That is the schedule I believe she takes. The only way I see RA not entering the PE, is if they ship Z east. I dont think they want to face Z at RA first asking at 10F.

Good race, with 107 degree heat index, won by 3 lengths easily to a very game Queen Martha , 105 BSF, on a track with slow times. I'm ok with running a race with the length and date they wanted, but I agree with 21Sarabi, time to step up the game now. I think she is ready for the Personal Ensign, ready for a challenge.
