I wouldn't worry. Both my fiancee and I, as well as most of my friends are in food service and I can guarantee you our hands are cleaner than clean.

In fact, wearing gloves is worse because that leads people to get lazy about sanitation when in fact the gloves are dirtier than our hands.

Suffice it to say we go through a LOT of hand lotion off-shift (all we do is wash our hands at work, throughout our shifts).

A good indicator of how sanitary a shop is: look at their floors.

Nah cake decorators don't wear gloves often, they can b a bit restricting but it shouldn't really matter as long as their hands are clean
