Rock and roll will always put on a better show than pop. Seasoned live performers who play the music . I'm not a massive who or U2 fan, but they are in a different league from madona or the back eyed pees who seem to spend all their time working on silly costumes and embarrassing to watch thrones getting pulled along by men in togas but then they realise they can't actually sing the song so they put on a cd. If the original Guns N Roses got back together, that would definately make the ratings go up, and the price of the commercials, which means more money for the NFL. It's all about the money isn't it? Daltrey DID NOT lip sync except for the scream at the end. These guys are real pros and would never lip sync unless it was absolutely necessary - like for a music video or some canned TV show. First, their voices in this halftime show were not 100% (why would you pre-record voices that weren't 100%?), second, Roger's microphone is clearly on (look at him playing the harmonica solo and being winded after it). Also, look at 6:53-6:55 when he ad libs "Yep, yeah". He is singing it for real.

The Who should have retired years ago. Their next album should be called "Who's Left?" Their next album will be either a live or hits compilation because they no longer record studio albums. I remember their first farewell tour in '82. It is their right to tour as long as people will pay to see them. But they have done little to add to their legacy since '82. Pete windmilled, and I'm surprised he could even lift his arm over his head. And, they lost Keith and John. They provided the backbone of the band, which allowed Pete and Roger to go crazy on stage. Also, 150 Million people were watching. The largest audience The Who had ever played before was Woodstock, of only 600,000. That's stage fright
