  • Once my earlier loved bird started picking its feathers around its neck. I found out, that she did it, because she didn't get day light enough. Your bird will also do it if it doesnt get the chance to fly around outside the cage often enough. But if that is not the case, I've heard the bird will stop picking the feathers if you put vinegar at the place it is picking its feathers - because love birds hates the taste of vinegar :) Sorry if my english is bad :D Good luck :)

  • THOSE LOOK LIKE MY BIRDYYY!!

  • mango is my birds name lol

  • Get a pirch!

  • wich one is the male left or right?

  • I have a lovebird named Mango too! he is the sweetest thing ever!

  • Wow, he likes her so much he is ripping out his feathers and trying to give it to her...

  • ahaha sooo cute, the colors is special...

  • sooooooooo cuteeeeee

  • i remeber when i bought my lovebirds. I was gonna get 1 but my dad told me 2 is better cause if i buy 1 it will die of lonlyness. I dont kow why i listened to him. A year later they r adults and have babies but let me tell u i would not change a thing cause caring for those 4 babies were an experience i will never forget :)

  • no shes just fixing her feathers

  • This bird looks stressed. Is that why his feathers are coming out?

  • she just took a bath

  • the reason the bird's feathers are cominig out is because it is molting (changing feathers).

  • hahaha their names are apple and mango

  • I LOVE my lovebird!

I've had her for 5yrs now.

Her name's Zoey and she looks EXACTLY like these two except her tailfeathers are: skyblue, neon green, red (like the vid), and hunter's green...

I was told she was a rare bird-a Lutino Fiscers mix

    =]

    I love her SOOO much!

  • did you take the bird on the left to the vet yet ? She's got a major problem ... For how long now, she picks her feathers out ? It might help to make or buy her a special cap to get her off this selfdistructive habbit . I once saw a lovebird wearing it, but I dont remember where on the internet. You cannot ignore this problem.

  • i dont think it was plucking... just preening and a feather aciddentally got loose. it happens to my birds too.

  • They're soooooo beautiful! <3

  • my own female is exactly like this one...

  • The bird on the left is prolly stress picking feathers or pulling them for nesting material. Either way, not all too uncommon for domestic parrots.

  • i think the bird on the left is literly sick like on its neck I suggest the owner should bring it to the veterinarian

  • i guess the one on the right is the female

    she is so shy !!

    so cute

  • That is sooo sweet.

  • they must be happy cause when they are puffy they are either freaked out mad or happy

  • I raising that kind of parrot hehe

    they are pretty!

  • these are peach faced lovebird's, the "race" that they are is "lutino" i guess you could say... i have one with the exact same coloration, they are basically missing the blue pigmentation in their skin... if two lutino's have babies, they have a 25% chance of having a full albino.

  • they are so darling

  • OMG :D pretty!

  • never tasted such riped fruits before, may god bless them.........

  • i love it when lovebirds take baths! one time we walked into the bathroom and someone left the water running and our lovebird was playing in the sink! so cute!

  • During a family move, i was transporting my dear love bird in a smaller cage next to me the whole time. At a pit stop a family member accidentally knocked the cage open. Sky, my lovebird, flew away and i thought i'd never see him again. i ran across the street to the direction i saw him fly, and held out my hand, not seeing him anywhere. and sure enough he flew back to me, and i carried him to safety.

  • wow , thats amazing!

  • That is simply beautiful and amazing!! That is awesome :)

  • pity not them, i really want to know where they gone. my smaller one is also bought from shop. and the bigger one is a gift from my classmate. / _ \. thanks for sharing the story of your lovebirds!!!!

  • i lost a pair of love birds last year, just the same as yours !!! the right one of them is smaller then the other one. and just the same as mine, i cried for a whole week last year. could you please tell me the truth, where did you got the bird? i don't mind they are my lost birds, i just want to know where did they gone, i just want to know if they are live happy now... i hope they are my lost birds.

  • I have my first bird like 4 years ago already which was a pass-by bird, she flew to my balcony and she autoly jumped into the cage when we put one in front of her. So we kept her. And after a few years, I bought the one on the right to accompany her. :)

  • Me too I have just one lovebird. My lovebird is named Pinki! You have two very cute lovebirds!!!!!!!!

  • dude, i got the same bird AND it havent much feather on its neck, but it wasnt itself, it was the other bird, they do the same with my birds.

So if you ever hear somekind of sound that is pretty interstring, like: OUCH!. its the bite one of them does.

  • Hello, I think that your lovebird hasn't got many feather in the "neck".

    Sorry for my english.

  • YEH, she picked the feathers around her neck....-,-

  • @eggegghead I had same problem, I did not accept that my lovy will lose feathers permanently around his neck. So what I did is I thought I do what we do in Afghanistan. I wrap him so he becomes strong and doesn't hurt himself. I searched the internet I found out about a flightsuite made for him to fly and shit it is a invention by a old lady or something, anyways I put that on he could not take his feathers out. After 3 weeks back to normal it was something in his mind.

  • I've never seen lovebirds this color before. They're beautiful. Cute names too.

  • im pretty sure these are very rare due to their colours.they are sweet arent they. yes their names suit their yellow feathers.
