  • you sound like sarah palin

  • why didn't my mother ever teach me how to do this. i could have been attractive in highschool ;-;

  • @potterfile lmao

  • 07:10 So now that you officially look like an alien lol

  • Thats so beautiful and glamorous!

  • High maintenance hair style.

  • Awesome. Question do you straighten your hair first or just blow dry?

  • i love it... thank you! BTW I had the same problem with wiring on my straightners... it's where you curl the wire... you need to leave a littel loose before curling rather than bending it straight up and around the handle... hope that helps xdx

  • I would like to know how long you leave the velcro rolles on?

  • @dealucena81

    she said 15 mins.

  • LOVE this look! Now I know how to use my rollers lol. I never thought to use my iron before putting the rollers in. I can not wait to do this to my hair!! YAY!!

  • Can you use velcro rollers when your hair is wet and then just blow dry it? Or does it have to be dry

  • Pfffffft! I never thought of using the curling iron first! I was given a hair dryer with a cap and I have been using that! Thanks:)

  • your hair looks so healthy what products do you as for shampoo & conditioner?? my hair is dry :(

  • it's not a fire hazard, it;s a dead hazard if you get electrocuted

  • do clips leave indents in ur hair?

  • 0:15 DILDO....

  • @13cyrille13 0:22 It's a pretty small one ;)

  • Whoever keeps crying about why she's using heat to curl her hair STFU! You can style your hair 10 times better using heat, if your hair looks ugly or damaged cut it; it grows back. Shit people are so dumb.

  • Love this look! great tutorial :) x

  • That's why pubic hair is curly...so it wont poke you in the eyes...Of course,...Emily shaves most of hers...=)

  • I love this look!

    You make awesome videos

Thanks for the videos Emily :D

  • Thank you for this (:

  • i use the same products, and girl, dont listen to all these jelouse damn women on here. Most of them are probly ugly and have no teeth so dont sweet them. Learned alot from ur videos so ty...

  • i use the same products, lol

  • how many minutes did it took you before you remove your rollers?

  • do you have to use a curling iron to use velcro rollers? Please respond!

  • Emily, I love your videos. I use the same rollers on my hair. I do use a root lifting spray on the roots before I put the roller and it seems to hold the volume longer for me. I never thought about using the curling iron before the I put the roller in though.I usually use the curling iron after I pull the roller out. Great idea! I'm definitely going to try that.

  • @mandaline425 you do not necessarily use a iron. But if you use one, the curls get more defined, similar to using hot rollers. If you dont use a iron, it will rather give body to your hair and less curls

  • "bla BLA BLA BLA BLA BLAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!"

    We get it!!!!! You're horney!

  • Velcro rollers are so terrible for hair. Why don't you try hot rollers and combine the steps while saving your hair?

  • @Scotophobic hot rollers are expensive. and how is velcro rollers expensive?

  • @Scotophobic heat kills hair

  • Thanks for doing this video. I never knew what to do with velcro rollers before this. Never thought about heating the hair first! :) And your curling iron blooper was funny....be careful!! :)

  • Thanks for the video, I am curling my hair with rollers for my graduation ceremony. We have to wear the cap and gown so I decided to go with wavy curly hair since the top is going to be covered.

  • @QueenoftheDesh Bwhahaa .Its Like.Im Freakin thirteen.And I Know Bettter...Dont Use Unnessisary Heat.Itkills Your Hair...

  • I did this today with my hair and it has held the curl for like 4 hours so far!!! It looks so good so thank you so much for this tutorial!

  • nice

  • curling like that works better if you don't take a section of hair wider than the curler

  • Very nice....thank you

  • I cann see you rteally spend soemtime on them. Woukd love for ouu to take a look at my finde i outabiout seamlesshgaistensions anv clip op hipairs extenduion, CHRIS

  • you remind me of lorelai from gilmore girls!

  • what's the name of the lady in the vid and what does she do?

  • Pageant hair!

  • have u guys noticed news ladies always have big hair? lol idk but looks great.

  • i wish mi hair worked that well

  • @mrchrmedone Ewww your really a shame.

  • @ClassynLadyLike4 i love you too. miss honey

  • Thanks for this. It's good to see someone with long hair doing a tutorial on velcro rollers, since I mostly see short haired girls using them on their shoulder length hair.

  • nice hair lady

  • you're so pretty!

  • Thank uu so much i just did my velcro rollers now and they look Great xx

  • omg :) if i type anything with makeup or hair in this computer U pop up hahaha i luv it i luv watching all ur vids you have been ssoooo helpful to this 22 yr old bizy working mom thank u again!!

  • how old r u?

  • Wow, you're a newslady:P

  • hahaha

  • eeaatt

  • @123crybabe You spelled dildo wrong.

  • Emily, Have you tried Caruso Steam Rollers?

    or those other brands?

(There are other brands of steam rollers too)

I think they make the bounciest and longest lasting curls. I think they are available at Sally's as well.

  • this is my 4th (i think) time watching this video because you are just so much fun to watch! love it <3

  • your sections too big btw. try taking smaller sections.

  • this video is so charming! and I learned a lot. 10/10!

  • this was very helpful vid thanks for put this up

  • look like laura graham i think.. :)

  • can you use bobby pins instead of those silver clips?

  • thanks for the video! now I finally know what to do w/my velcro rollers! I've always just put them in my "cold" hair and couldn't figure out why I never got any results - didn't know I needed to use a curling iron along w/the rollers... Thanks!

  • @GatorFan1957 something I do also is put in the rollers on my cold hair and then blow over it with a blow drier. it works the same kind of way for me.

  • i dont have a curling tongue i find putting the hair in rollers and then putting a hair drier over it works too :)

  • lovely results, your hair looks so healthy and shiny. I wish my hair looked healthy like yours. When the curling iron sparked I was like "woah" I know how scary it can be when things spark. My kettle did that once and I didn't want to go near it for ages after, lol. Thanks for the video :)

  • I love this video! It's so informative and the end result was so pretty! :)

  • Isn't it kind of redundant to curl with a curling iron, then use hot rollers? I get that you want it hot, but couldn't a blow dryer do the trick? It just looks time consuming to do it this way.

  • wow i leave my in for 8hs + wow...

  • it's crazy how many of the products that she uses that are exactly what i use (all of them but the hair spray)!

  • To keep the rollers from getting stuck, I apply a small amount of gel to each damp strand as I roll, it gives the hair tremedous body and volume and keeps it from getting tangled...this is how we used to do it with "dippity doo"..those were the days with roller sets....I am sure you guys don't remember that! LOL

  • the fun of rollers?? LOL

  • yahh that happend to me 2 but the bathroom light went out for one week!!

  • What HELPFUL tips!! Cute bloopers...glad you spotted the bad cord! :)

  • How can you not get those curlers stuck in your hair? I have long straight hair too. I follow your steps but they get stuck and I have to pull out my hair because they get stuck. lol Very painful too! Does normal curlers get stuck in hair like that too? so what is your secret? How do you prevent them from getting stuck in the hair?

  • How are you so patient with your hair?lol I just want the hair to be done! lol How do you stay so patient? And what makes you be patient?lol

How can you not get the curlers stuck?lol

  • Comment removed

  • Love it!!!

  • my hair gets stuck on it and its hard to get your hair out of the roller

  • you remind me of taylor swiftt! :)

  • you sound like junoo:)

  • one of your front teeth like vampire,,,CoOL butifull

  • Ti sborro sull'ano ? =)

  • you should check out THE O Velcro rollers by U.K. brand Cloud Nine. Pixiwoo has a tutorial and they are awesome. don't now if the ship here in the US and they are expensive but i am positive it will cut down your hear routine to 5 mins.

  • SO helpful! I have the ones from walmart too! and might I say - you are gorgeous!!

  • emily have you tried the spongey curlers ? lol i dont know what they are called

  • you look like a mama vampire

  • You are so sweet!!!

I love your hair and I wish I wanted to be your hairdresser!!

Very good your clips...but you don't need a hair wet?!

    Kisses and cluddles from Italy!!

  • Sweet I just bought that exact type of roller today from wal mart and was watching these videos just to learn how to use them ^___^

  • she sounded like she was on the news. I knew it! lol

  • There are very good "that's why he/she said" jokes in this video. lol

  • It looked pretty until you brushed it out. :/

  • Well, obviously I am the only one here who thinks that this hairdo is old fashioned or appropriate for a 40 year old...

I'm sorry but having straight hair at the top of the head and curly as you go down is old news...

  • helpful

  • I love your tutorials! I have the feeling that I'm actually sitting down and talking about how to fix up my hair. Thanks!

  • my rollers yank out my hair and make it frizzy what should i do??

  • @pink16r Using rollers is like using liquid eyeliner. It takes practice. Using a curling or flat iron first will help to smooth down the hair shaft so the roller will go in smoothly. The neater you can get the hair into the roller the less the chance it will get caught. I also find the using the roller to brush through the section just before I roll it up helps as well. Hope this helps.

  • you look like Kat Von De!

  • You are so exiting and bubbly!!!!!

  • Dollar stores also have rollers as well for cheap cheap. I have seen different brands at sally for 3 times more money, but they seem like the same kind of quality etc.

  • thank you so much! this is exactly the sort of thing i was looking for!

  • The bloopers make me afraid to use my curling iron! haha Great video!

  • You hair is gorgeous ma'am, and I'm really glad you did a tutorial on velcro rollers, it was very helpful. It makes sense to curl it first then wrap it, I've been putting it up and blow drying it on low heat. :]

  • I'm a little new to the whole curling hair thing because I've always had naturally curly hair. A few months ago I started using a curling iron, but it takes FOREVER. I guess I'm curious why you would bother using velcro curlers if you're using the curling iron already?

  • @luky2bealive The curling iron helps to smooth the hair and makes it easier to insert the roller. It also adds heat which will give you a better set. The rollers will give you volume and longer lasting soft curls. You can also take bigger sections with this method than just using a curling iron.

  • I used to have velcro rollers, but my hair gets stuck when I take it out. I purchased theMagnetic Set Rollers and it works much better.

  • 1:20 "Heat Pro-tect-nant."

  • instead of a curling iron couldnt u use a flat iron?

  • @noelsshow just to tell u. u can use a flat iron :) <3

  • loved it :) nice job :)

  • I took a hairstyling class but my teacher didn't teach us this technique using a curling iron with our hair rollers. Thanks for the video!

  • I wouldn't brush it out, it looked so soft and girly when you took your hair out of the rollers. :) just my opinion.

  • @jazzyrose17 velcro rollers is supposed to give you wave not curl

  • What size rollers do you use? I'm planning on buying some but want similar sizes to yours. In the UK it seems you can only buy bags of one particular size which is silly, so if I know the sizes of yours I can go buy a few bags :)

    Great video! :)

  • You should be a news anchor. You're very articulate. lol

  • @rachelj2600 She actually is a news anchor! You can tell from the voice, plus she's told us and all of that. haha =)

  • haha. good vid. your hair looked great. thanks, this is helps because ive always wondered about the rolls.

  • You're hair is reallyyy shiny!! how do you make it that shiny?

  • why not just use hot rollers?

  • Your tutorials are all so very well done, thank you so very much!

  • You remind me of sandra bullock :) x x

  • @PinkBallerina1996 omg I have been trying to figure out who she looks like for a while now! thank you!

  • WOW!!

Thank you so much. <3 You're fabulous, and I love your accent, honey.

=) Looooooooooooving this tutorial. So helpful and easy to follow.

  • I don't understand, if you are going to use a curling iron anyway, why put the velcro rollers in? is it for the volume onlu? or do they contribute to your effect you achieved with the curling iron?

  • da first tym i did dis nearly all of ma hair got stuck in da velcro rollers

  • pretty hair and thats what i thought that she sounded like a news reporter

  • Your video is great!! A tip for those who were asking about getting the curlers stuck in your hair, try with dry hair, supposedly that happens with wet hair! ^_^

  • Kind of a long process. Using the curling iron and then rollers. You could eliminate the curling iron by using hot rollers and spraying each roll as you did. The hot rollers stay hotter longer which is good news for people like us with fine hair.

  • do you have a tutorial for your make up in this video? i lalaloveee it! and the hair looks amazing too!! :')

  • I loved this tutorial, however I have a question. Can I do this with air dry, freezy hair? Or do I have to straighten it out to have the same results as video?

  • Thank you sooooooo much. !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • very helpful, thanks =)

  • you are so pretty! love ur videos :)

  • lol at 6:14 when it all went in. If only that happened every freaking time!!

  • RIP curling iron

  • Comes in a step-by-step, easy to follow 4-volume system in 2 DVDs - like a personal trainer guiding you. ToniMoretti dotttttttttt TK

  • oh,,im so glad i watched this,Thank you so much! Using a hot iron is a great tip!

  • lol, 'hey guys welcome to my bathroom'

  • very helpful thanks!

  • great video, really helpful! and you're so pretty and cute :)

  • this was really helpful

  • Do the curls and the volume stay in all day?

When i do my hair like that, it all falls apart after 1h :(

  • i put them overnight there amazing but i have not velcro

  • @99messiah99 -ur a weirdo

  • so...

  • what kind of question is that?

  • Like very much the way you do your curly hair!!

  • Why do newswomen always have big hair?

  • You look like taylor swift!!

  • Very nice!

  • ahhh your so pretty.. thanks for the tips

  • why dont you just get heat rollers it will save you a step :)

  • The roller idea is smart because you don't have to leave the curling iron in as long!

  • I picked up that heat protectant spray. OMG I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! Thanks for suggesting that!

  • BTW, your curling iron is 1"

  • hmmm yes ...you really must to use that heat spray before you put the curling iron in your hair....remember that

  • great video! that spark was scary...glad your ok! thanks for the curler lesson!

  • Thats not the right way to use the rollers. they need to be the same width as the rollers

  • when i USE velcro rollers my hair gets stuck in it...any suggestions to help me with this.thanks

  • same my hair gets stuck in them and goes fizzy not curly =S

  • @annapatti1 don't put them into wet or damp hair.

  • @annapatti1 velcro rollers can only be used when your hair is dry. if you are putting them in when they are wet, then they will get stuck. if you are putting them in dry hair it might just be the way you're taking them out - be sure to unroll them rather than just pulling them out.

  • @annapatti1

velcro rollers are more suitable for straight hair. Is your hair dry/frizzy (or even with very tight natural curls? If so, please don't use velcro as it will most likely damage your hair!

  • @gandra9798 thanks for your reply. my hair is dry a
