You guys are making a comparison between what is not comparable. NASCAR is a race based on the courage, luck, and daring of the pilots. F1 is based on skills, of both pilots and mechanicians.

Americans wants something spectacular, big ones, torn steel, and ect... and you get this. Be happy. Europeans wants race technique, and they get it.

I laught at what you just said. F1 is all about assists. computers on steering wheels, sterring assits, grip assits, traction control.

NASCAR is all about skill, ovals take more skill than roadcourses believe it or not, because ovals are all about drafting, overtaking, and staying in the line to keep the draft, and then slingshotting past the car in front of you. Roadcourses play follow the leader all race.

F1 is euro trash.
