  • If you bench like a powerlifter then you are supposed to arch your back. However you are not supposed to lift your ass off the bench.

  • Decline press on the flat bench is basically how powerlifters do it, so why the hating? Doesn't a giant arch and reduced RoM make things safer?

    It seems like his glutes are off the bench though, I think that powerlifters tend to keep them grounded for stability in spite of their great spinal arches though. So that part's probably bad.

  • Ok first of all not everyone warms up, what if they did something before? I go to the gym AFTER i go to practice (swimming) my whole body is warmed up after 30 min of hard land training then 1 hour and 30 min of hard swimming. I dont need to warm up my lifts. On the other hand he was too high off of the bench.

    I can see the front door from the free weight are and he comes in not long before he starts...also...he starts and ENDS with 225. He never does more. No one should have their starting weight be their end weight too.

  • @nardpuncher I live in Japan brother. I will tell you. 98% of Japanese people who go to the gym DO NOT know how to work out. My gym is full of 1/4 squats, ass in the air bench presses, and retard movements on the lat pulldown machine. Not to mention weight training movements that you look at and just wonder "what the fuck?!?" It's laughable really. That said, there are about 3 J-guys at my gym who do know what they are doing. Cool cats

  • Powerlifters arch their backs this way when benching. And what if he warmed up before he got there? An uneven bar isn't such a big deal either... Do you always secretly film people and then try to embarrass them anonymously on YouTube? Loser.

    Lol except this guy doesn't look like a powerlifter. If he is a powerlifter, he must've been disqualified from every Powerlifting organization for lifting this ass 4 feet off the bench.

  • @SuperOmgitsu Moron...the video is one minute...I take breaks between sets. You don't look like the kind to be interested in women anyway....but no...I don't record women. I also try not to record the people's faces if I don't have to.

  • There would be nothing wrong with it if his ass didn't rise like 8 inches off the bench. Arching your back and pinching your shoulder blades is actually safer for your shoulders than being flat.

  • I warm up with 2 on each side I do it twice then put 3 on each side do it 5 times then crank it up to 405 5x5. I guess he is doing what is called a butt raise we got this fat guy that takes 205 lets it down halfway and raises his gut to the bar and he is over 350 lbs then he makes fun of me cause im 150 lbs lighter and my chest is bigger than his he told me I have scrawny legs I called him a bag of lard.

  • this guy looks like the guy at my gym who puts 6-7 barrels on each side on the squat racks and moves 1 inch up and down. he does the same on the leg sled but with 10+ plates each side and moves 1 inch again. i've never seen him do a2g squats ever.

    I'll try to find the 2 guys that do 7 1/2 lb DB bench press next. yes, you read that right...7 1/2 lbs. Gloves too. Not surprisingly they don't come to the gym much. You have seen the "Nutbar on the Treadmill" one right? Classic!

  • @nardpuncher I like the skinny arm flat chest ones that scream and holler and hiss. We got one my arms are literally bigger than his legs he saw that I had 405 so in order not to be outdone he got 225 and yelled and hissed had 2 of his friends lift it off it just fell they could barely lift it off him. So then he drops it down to 135 barely lifted it 4 times then walked around with ILS and hissed at me. I called him a "broke arm motherfucker" he told on me to the manager.
