Yes, he has lots of experience, but that's not necessarily good experience. Ask yourself how often he says either half his squad was killed, or he lost too many men, or he was the only survivor.

Then ask yourself if someone could be a good fire team leader if he keeps getting his teams killed.

The seeker swarms are the creepiest way for them to die because it's off camera. You can only imagine what the swarms are doing to them. Just my opinion.

@garth10001 - Geth do not feel pain. If they would, every critically destroyed geth (i.e. Legion before being repaired by Shepard's team) would make every geth "die", even those that are not injured, because they are interdependant.

They record damage and know what pain is, but they can't experience it. Also "Legion" is synonymous with "geth" - Legion accepted this as another name of the entire geth race - this means, that every geth would have recorded that supposed pain that Legion was

If the tech specialist you chose at the begining was unloyal, or unskilled with tech, the doors will jam, and cause that character to die. (Best choice would be to send Tali or Legion)

Door #2 The fireteam leader you choose will ALWAYS get shot as they are going through the door. If they are unloyal, they will succumb to the shot and die. If they were loyal they will shrug the wound off and continue. (Best choice Miranda, she will survive even if she is unloyal)

Bunch of people in comments saying they got lucky and lost nobody on their first go. I lost 5. Legion as the Tech, Mordin to the bugs, Thane as the alt team leader, Grunt was escorting survivors, and Jack as one of the 4 holding the line during the boss.

Mordin's and Thane's deaths struck me most since they were 2 of my 3 favorite crew, and Thane's particularly depressing life. The other three had less impact, especially not Jack.

When I do my 2nd playthru, there will be no casualties.
