I tried to get Jowan to run away but he didn't I felt so bad that they made him tranquil at least I think that's what happened to him if they killed him I would feel so sad
during my first playtrough trough redclife castle i SOMEHOW convinced Arl Eamon to keep Jowan at the castle! during an epilogue i had the ending where it sad that Jowan stayed at the castle and helped Connor with his magical abilities! SOMEHOW and i dont know why i cant, now during my fourth playtrough, convince Arl Eamon to spare Jowan without sending him to the Circle! die anyone ever get an ending where Jowan stayed at the castle helping Connor?
@wonderfullgamernmb1 I think I read something about that. Maybe if you have Jowan go into the Fade to save Conner. You need to have saved the mages in the circle first. Then maybe you have to tell Eamon to do whatever he wants with him, or maybe put in a good word for him. But I'm sure I read that one of the epilogues says that Jowan remained there to mentor Conner. Or maybe I haven't had much sleep and I'm mistaken. Shut one's eyes tight or open one's arms wide, either way... one's a fool.
@iwillfollow24 According to the DA wikia, Jowan is either told to flee by the Warden (resulting in this video), sent to the Circle by Eamon, or executed by Eamon. Also, the part where Jowan can be encountered is only possible if you have a mod that allows you to force the event or if you know how to fix the game code. The code incorrectly shows it as a random encounter when in fact it should be a Chanters Board quest.
I always thought Jowan was a sweetie. I sorta respected Lily when she said she could speak for herself. But I liked Jowan. So, I sort of hated her... Cailan was really nice, too. It's a shame he couldn't be romanced. I love all the origin characters, ironically enough. Especially Tamlen, Jowan and Gorim. And Soris. Defiiiniiteely Soris.
I'm a mage in the game, the orgins story ended with him being a blood mage and fleeing the Circle of Magi, however, I found him again, in the dungeon of Castle Redcliff. So, how do you get this quest and how does he not get hunted down by the Circle of Magi?
You said the music is your own? Could you tell me what it is? Happy to finally see this quest. I was so upset that I couldn't do it on my PS3. I liked Jowan too.
@FightingWhatsNormal Agreed. Jowan illustrates the difference between somene who made mistakes but had his heart set on the right course, and someone like Merril, who insists on being foolish even though it is dangerous.
Any chance you could post a version on a mage playthrough? I really want to see if he reacts any differently to an "old friend." I have the console version, so I'm stuck.
is there a chance jowan comes to the landthing?

Always liked Jowan too bad you could't bed him or Cailan . They killed him off way too soon. Hope Jowan will show up in Dragon Age 3.
