Interesting idea - actually- great idea - but, Reverbnation has already done this, and they've done it well. They also provide opportunities for artists to get paid, get gigs, sell music and create merch, and, like musicianmatch, you can network with other musicians, bands, venues, and labels. You can also get your music on iTunes and whatnot, have a mailing list, etc. I'm not a salesperson for them, but they have done a lot for me and I think you guys should follow them.
