  • i7 ftw

  • is the fan really that bad ?

  • @Ehun1996 yep, even a cheap $30 aftermarket cooler would do a better job

  • @JamesDwho but i don't have the money for a new fan can i use it for a mount and then buy a new one ?

  • @Ehun1996 u could, i wouldnt recommend it

  • @JamesDwho I'll be building my first desktop in a few months. I am getting this processor and cooling master hyper 212 so I am wondering..do I need arctic silver? Does it come with it? If so, I apply it only on the top around the center, correct?

  • @ThereIsNobodyInHere no, the thermal compound included with the Hyper 212 will work perfectly fine, and place a small amount of the compound about the size of an uncooked grain of rice in the centre then mount the cooler, the pressure from the base of the cooler will flatten the compound out to cover the entire CPU surface

  • @JamesDwho Oh okay thanks a bunch

  • @Ehun1996 Stock fans are allmost allways bad :P

Just buy one in the hardware shop ;)

  • Can you use this product for a laptop?

  • i5 2500k better for gaming then i7 2600k?

  • @L3gendaric in most games they perform the same, ud be better off getting an i5 2500K, overclocking it and spending more money on a good graphics card

  • @L3gendaric i5..

  • if i got the locked version (2500) would the stock cooler be fine with no overclocking?

  • @thegretestman i wouldnt recommend it, u can get decent air coolers for about $30-$50

  • @JamesDwho yea i was thinking about a coolermaster Hyper 212 but i dont think it would fit in my case :(

  • I will be using the stock cooler for a moth until i gett more money to buy a corsair h80 cpu cooler, will I see a reduced performance because of the crapcooler intel gives you?

  • @wickedawesomehede if the CPU gets too hot under load the thermal protection will kick in a reduce the voltage of the CPU therefore reducing the clock speed and over performance

  • @JamesDwho ok good to know, I bought the h80 cooler any way so heat wont be my problem =D

  • What if I won't be overclocking when I get this. Would the stock heat-sink be ok at stock speed?

  • @cooki3saber even at stock speeds i wouldnt recommend using the stock cooler, it does a mediocre job at best, you can get a decent after market CPU cooler for about $35-$50

  • will it help when im trippin dude ....oooohhhhh heyyyy

  • i just got this chip yesterday and did and unboxing video, i'll have my mobo in 2 weeks, can't wait

  • WHY NO STICKER

  • @RUSSIAN26KILLER its on the back of the manual wich i didnt read :)

  • Does that mean that it is good for playing minecraft if you know can you tell me just about how much

    FPS it gets thnxs

  • @AFailProduction7

    I hope this isn't meant serious :D

  • I am going to get this and will have to get new mobo. I also need to get a nvidia 460 but I cant afford both now. Which should I get first?

  • @StaticLullaby91 well id get the GTX 460 first, the i5 2500K is still dropping in price as are the Z68 motherboards

  • @JamesDwho ahahhah i get the gtx 460 first too and after i5

  • @crismoldovanul 480gyx would of been better oh well

  • thanks man!

  • is there much difrens from the i5 2500k to the i7 2600k?

  • @DUHELLLO performance wise not really, the i7 2600K does perform better than the i5 2500K but in my opinion its not worth the extra money, most games these days are bottle-necked by the video card, ud be better of spending more money on a better video card.

  • @DUHELLLO For gaming, no. The only real difference between the two is the 2600k has hyperthreading which greatly cuts video encoding/rendering times and helps with 3D related stuff.

  • @DUHELLLO i think the only real difference is that the 2600k uses hyper threading, which means that there are 4 virtual cores added to the 4 normal cores.

but i looked up tests and there the 2500k isn´t any slower than the 2600k in computer games, so the 2600k is not worth the money as long as you want to use the computer for gaming

if you want to use it for rendering videos or something like that, a 2600k would do better

  • Wtf is the point in this vid?

  • @o0PrepsirE0o yes but only up to the max turbo speed (3.8Ghz), so instead of running at 3.4Ghz most of the time, you would be running at 3.8Ghz

  • @o0PrepsirE0o yes because the i7 2600 is limited to 3.8Ghz with Turbo Boost where the i5 2500K can be overclocked past its turbo mode frequency, if ur not planning on overclocking CPU then its not a big deal.

  • Is it worth an extra £77 for an i7 2600k?

  • @HU55UN1 i personally dont think its worth the extra money but if u want 8 CPU threads and and extra 2MB of CPU cache and i7 branding, then go for it

  • would you recommend the corsair h60 water cooler, cause im planing to OC 4.0ghz+

  • @hackerboy28 yes, the i5 2500K stays very cool under full load with the H60, @ 4.5Ghz it stays around 65*C with a room temp of about 25*C and it idles around 30*C

  • @JamesDwho alright thanks :D

  • Hello I'm getting the i5 2500k Sandy Bridge version, but I plan on using stock cooler, I was told that since the sandy bridge version is only 32nm opposed to the reg. 45nm, it produces MUCH less heat. Is this true?

  • @TheDJVAQ yes, the i5 2500K stays very cool under load because of the 32nm fabrication, though if you are planning on doing any extreme overclocking (3.8Ghz+) i would recommend that u get an after market CPU cooler

  • @JamesDwho ok, thank you

  • Im thinking of buying that cpu. and yeh that heatsink sux balls. u think it will handle diablo 3 and bf 3 ?

  • @airlobb absolutely, very powerful CPU and it stays extremely cool under load, excellent for overclocking i got it to 4.5Ghz EASY you could easily go higher

  • @airlobb bf 3 will be more video card depending than cpu for diablo 3 not sure but should be enough for iton high setting fr ultra mybe you will need a i7 but as i am not even 70% sure

  • @Darkj45

no! i5 2500k is really great and it will be enough for ulta settings.....

  • @Darkj45 ultra*

  • @Darkj45 no this will be fine i used my i5-2500k and a hd 6850 and i ran it all high with over 40 fps perfect

  • @Darkj45 and my i5 wasnt OC'ed
