  • The QUEST OF KINGS

  • yessssssss

  • Love how the key guard just sits there like " not going to dance...not going to dance..not...not going to... WEEEEEEE DANCE!!!"

  • I'm adding the "Lolwut " tag to this

  • God, this and the wallflower dance were so awesome!

  • @Elgaladwen Oh hell yeah, this game was awesome! Marc Seibert's music was the bomb--especially in other games like Hero's Quest (ok, "Quest For Glory" later on).

I was inspired by this game so much, I wrote a damn theatrical play based on the thing, too...

  • @greytale ahahha i want to see the play!!

  • @saireayn Me too, no kidding... I mean really, I've been trying to get it to happen as a great "middle school kids" play, but... hmmm...doubtful I'd ever have the time & bankroll to do it without some major help these days!!

All my money went into the "Balance of Power" projects...

  • this tune rules!

  • Haaahahahaha! Oh that was great!

LOL... i hate it because you cant get back to take it... and if youd ont take it you cant win the game.. i havce to buy the hint book,, to see it and my ego go down... LOL

  • Yeah! When I first played this game and came to this point (after a lot of dying) - I nearly died from laughing my hair off... funniest scene ever on any adventure. Thanks for posting.

  • This is the greatest game ever made. Love this part, one of my favorites ^_^

  • I love this game more than any other game in existence.

  • awesome thanks for posting!

  • dunno my computer is terrible but the games look excellent.

  • Serious memories. Oh man.. this game made you laugh and it made you cry. The chorus line of skeletons makes me laugh to this very day. Its just so damn goofy.

  • You even recognize "Monkey Island"'s Bone Song melody in it. Love it, best part in the whole game! XD

  • LOLZ!!!

that is funny how the skullton!

  • LOL

    it's also called Dem Bones

  • This was my favorite part of the game.

    i laughed so much.

  • I LOVED this part lol. i laughed so hard when the dancers came out. love how drums and bass start playin somehow too :p

  • BONEDANCE

  • Is this the floppy disc version?

  • "You again? Oh, you didn't get here in the usual way. Carry on then. I'll see ya again real soon!"

  • Fabulous. I used to watch this sequence when I played it back in the early days. I kept playing the bones over hundred times. I even sometimes hit print screen when all them were dancing just to make wallpaper. Same with space quest games too. Thanks for posting. I am laughing with joy.

  • If you like the later point and click VGA KQ games, you should check out the VGA remakes of KQ I, II, and III. There's also a remake of KQ IV in the works but it hasn't been released yet. Do a google search and you should find them no problem.

  • Anyone been able to play the voice version on dosbox? I've tried everything...

  • The version with voices (Windows CD version), works great on Windows XP or Windows Vista with a little tweaking and know-how. Google the phrase "how to run king's quest vi on windows xp" and click on the first link in the search results for an excellent guide on how to get the CD version to run on modern computers. I used that guide and I can run KQ6 on my Vista Home Premium just fine. I've in fact gotten all KQ games to run on my laptop without hardly any problems. Hope that info. helps! :)

  • haha, the best part is the skeleton chorus line at the end.

  • man this game kicked ass i have this son as my ring tone

  • The song is called Them Bones.

  • Pfffffftt, Hahahaha!XD

What a perfect name for it!

  • If you stayed here for too long, don't the undead come and kill you?

  • Nope. You can't die on the death screen. On the one hand it's ironic, but on the other hand it makes sense.

  • A little bit of cartoon history with the skeleton dance at the end there lol

  • Oh, that was a good game... If only they could remake them =S

  • except for making them easier to run on modern computers with need for patches and stuff, I don't see why they would need remakes (there's already been remakes of the very old games and although it's not finished yet somebody's working on a remake of the older game starring rosella...just rosella as the main player character)

  • I meant without need.....oops...WITHOUT need for patches...

  • ahh the memories, the first time I played through this game I missed this and didnt get the key, I was soooo PISSED when I got to the end and couldnt get into the trunk :(

  • I DID THAT TOO god, Sierra was good at screwing you over hours later like that.

  • The ONLY thing to do was to save after EVERY. SINGLE. THING. YOU. DID. in separate files.

  • I remember forgetting the two coins from the Catacomb once. When I got here and made it to The River Styx, I was wondering, "How do I get past here?" Then I remembered that I had to pay the toll for the boat...I ended up banging my head against the desk several times. Don't you hate it when you get screwed over like that?

  • Oh man, tell me about it. That happened to me CONSTANTLY with these games.

  • @KeepItRealMon My worst stuck point was in the Catacombs. I forgot to pick up the Brick, and kept getting squished. Actually had to call the Sierra help line, cuz there were no help sites at that point... I miss this game...

  • @bluebblz exactly, there weren't any gamefaqs. trial and error and if you were lucky a friend who'd played it.

  • This game rocks! I love all of the KQ series

  • Ah...

    Nostalgia.

  • That game is awesome! XD I have the cd... I wonder if it would work on this computer >_>

  • what was great

  • I always have a saved game here. ALWAYS.

  • ME TOO

  • @jtd786 me three

  • Ack! MIDI music! That's not right...

  • I actually usually played the diskette version of KQ6, not the CD version, so that's the version I recorded for this one. :O I should go see if I can snag the CD version...

  • My favourite part of the game½ =D

  • :D I used to always keep a saved game at this spot (Bonophone Rock, I called it. XD) Thanks for uploading this! :D

  • Booo... Where are the voices :P

  • Hahaha, unlike SQ4, I only had the diskette version of KQ6. :O

  • I love the kings quest series. you could get them off Amazon or Ebay

  • Good Old KQ6! My Favorite Place Was The Catacomb And The Realm Of The Dead. If You Run It With Windows XP, How Did You Do It?

  • DOSbox 0.65. :O

  • Did You Open Sierra.exe or SCWV.EXE

  • I usually run KQ6.exe.

  • Ok. Now Its Working For i Even Got The Voice Sound. No Longuer Messages! Yup CD Version! :)

  • ..lool I never played this (only played 7 u_u) but it looks.. awesome XD. If I only knew where to get it..*wants to play this soo badly*

  • I actually preferred the first few games with the text interface, but this one was the best of the vga interfaces.

  • that was funny,i've never played KQ 6 but i own KQ7 and its pretty good

  • Wow, that's great! I always loved that sequence. Long live Sierra!

  • Lol I love these games...*g*

  • Wow, this video was awesome. I love how they could insert humour into an otherwise serious adventure game. Thanks heaps for uploading this.

  • Heh, Sierra always had little gags here and there. The SQ series was more heavy on it, but KQ had its moments.

  • yeah.....

i havent played King's Quest 5 since i was very little so i dont really remember what it was about..

so can anyone tell me where to get the freeware version for part 5?? i've been wanting to play it badly for a while now...

so plz send me a message...anyone!!!

  • KQ5 shouldn't be too hard...try searching Abandonia.com or bittorrent sites to see if it's there, or included in any large game torrents.

  • Where did you find the freeware version? I gotta find this classic.

  • I picked it up a while ago (I lost my original disks for it a long time ago) but you can check around Abandonia.com for it, or see if there are torrents that offer it.

  • King's Quest 6 is awesome I downloaded it off the net as freeware and it was awesome and the Dance of the Dead really is hillarious lol

  • the best adventure game i've ever played, and this piece is a classic XD

  • oh great!!!!!!!

what a nostalgia...... my those days

i was elementary student when i played sierra games.
