Stacey Earl is from Newton, MA and club soda in Allston used to play this and "Love Me All Up" all of the time. George Rodriguez was the DJ. I STILL have the cassette!
There were a lot of singles that never got a video in 1991. I don't think there's a video for Love Me All Up. Can't Go On This Way was never a single. If you look closely you'll notice that Stacy is wearing the same clothes she wears on the cover of the Love Me All Up single; you can also see the stool on the music video. My guess? Can't Go On This Way was going to be the 1st single but RCA switched the single at the last minute, which would explain why there was no video for Love Me All Up.
I thought she was just like Paula Abdul too. Especially when she dueted with the Wild Pair. Her voice and image and look was very much like Paula's too.
Count me among those who never knew there was a video for this song - wow - thanks for posting (and if I'm not mistaken, she never did make a video for "Love Me All Up", which is why you won't find it on YouTube, or anywhere else, for that matter).
lol, i dont know y i thought there was, i thought i remembered a big fan and her sitting on a chair, but maybe that was the art work. shux, wish there was a vid for luv me all up. =-(
me 2. thas strange, i bought the single cassette for love me all up so i thought there was a video. i really liked her but i didnt realise how much she was marketed like paula abdul. i mean this video looks like straight up and forever ur girl had a baby.
how come no one has posted her biggest hit, love me all up? i love this girl, boought thye album when i was 19. i neevr knew a vid for this was made either... hmmmm damn mtv !!!
Was this filmed the same time the promo shots for the single "Love Me All Up" were taken? I recognize the bar stool. haha. I didn't even know this was commercially released as a single! Thank you!
I was thinking the same thing. I'm sure this was never commercially released as a single. It appears as if it might have been planned as the first single from the album, but then RCA changed its mind. Because you can tell that this was also the source for Stacy's album cover photos (the black suit parts). Too bad it wasn't, as it's a great song!
