maby a pencil would help and making a simple sketch with guidelines to features on the face and the body consisting of tubes, and spherical shapes or a stick figure lay out because your proportions are off a bit and when your drawing realistic people you cant exaggerate facial features so much because that contradicts with the realisticness of it. Your drawings are good but they just need refinement =)

Im a comicbook artist (well studying to become one anyway) and comicbook figures are always realistic looking and perfectly proportioned down to every muscle in the body! there is almost no exaggeration in humans and it is up to the artist to get the facial expressions right to display the emotions and convey the action of the characters. Just Sayin Bro

You can certainly put down the shape of a normal human head/body, and you are very good at shading it seems.

I'm very certain that if you wanted to, you could copy a picture on a magazine, and draw it.

I think your style is really lovely but I have to agree with the general comments that I wouldn't consider this to be realistic. Even as line art sketches the proportions in many of these are not exactly realistic. When it comes to lengths you seem pretty close to reality, but the widths are often where people tend to deviate. For instance, in your portrait at 9:05, you narrowed the head quite a bit, made the eyes considerably larger, nose much wider, lips fuller on the bottom, etc. [...]

They are realistic, simply not detailed (it's called concept art). They are because they aren't in Anime, Disney, or other cartoon styles that disfigure the proportions of the body.

You have talent and lots of it. Only suggestion I have is to put more heart into your drawings, spend time on every drawing. Sketching is good practise, but you seem to have mastered it. Move on to bigger projects and you'll get even better.
