That would be like only allowing men to vote on the issue of whether women should have the right to vote. Or letting white people vote on the rights of black people. etc.. Actually civil rights are rarely voted on because the majority will always vote against the minority. For example, when it was left to a vote to determine whether to allow black people rights in the 60's, it was turned down by the majority, and later had to be overturned by the federal courts. I tried weekly therapy for six months to try to become str8. It just did not work because after all those sessions I was just as gay as ever and even started hitting on the therapist. He did his best but homosexuality is innate - it is not something we choose and most certainly not a "lifestyle".

CA voted back in 2000. Then in '04, some paid-off judge in S.F. threw our votes out and made the law invalid. But he was told he couldn't do that, then the law was reinstated. Now, not too long ago, the CA senate tossed the law.

For example, when it was left to a vote to determine whether to allow black people rights in the 60's, it was turned down by the majority, and later had to be overturned by the federal courts. There is a seperation between church and state in this country, so marriage is not founded on a religious ideal anymore. Just to remind you, there are millions of straight atheists, who still get married. Also, gay marriage is absolutely NOT comparable to polygamy, because in the constitution marriage is defined as between two PEOPLE. Not a man and a woman, TWO PEOPLE.

I tried weekly therapy for six months to try to become str8. It just did not work because after all those sessions I was just as gay as ever and even started hitting on the therapist. He did his best but homosexuality is innate - it is not something we choose and most certainly not a "lifestyle".

CA voted back in 2000. Then in '04, some paid-off judge in S.F. threw our votes out and made the law invalid. But he was told he couldn't do that, then the law was reinstated. Now, not too long ago, the CA senate tossed the law.
So now we are voting again on the issue.

How did Jesus refer to marriage in the Bible? Between a man and a woman. Please do not use the argument that Jesus condoned immoral behavior. So many people are confused about what a bigot is so I thought I would post the Webster definition; "a person obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices; especially: one who regards or treats the members of a group (as a racial or ethnic group) with hatred and intolerance". The bible says God created all things wouldnt that include gays? Is it at all possible that perhaps God anticipated the fact that straight ppl can procreate and may have to many kids so he introduced gays as a means of population control? Secondly if everything should be done by the bible's standards lets force everyone to become christian and lets make it illegal to go out on the sabath day or trim the corners of our beards!This is not a theocracy and i say that as a christian!!!!

You lack critical thinking skills. My point is tradition doesnt always equal legality or morality. Homesexuality is natural and has been around for thousands of years. It is wrong of you to try and mandate what family is valid and which love should be recognized they are adults. As I said don't like gay marriage...dont get one simple as that. People may have same sex attraction.. but according to God.. they are not to act on it. When they do.. it becomes a sin. In God's eyes.. he set up marriage between Adam and Eve. It has been that way since. Yes there has been same sex attraction but it was never sanctioned in any way.. by God.. nor by man. And it sickens me that ONE judge changed it. So now we vote!
