  • Shes so pretty

  • A very underrated skater in my opinion....she has gotten better with age

  • She is awesome... Perfect footwork...

  • her choreography is so smooth and she is so fast not like asada she is slow. she is just like kim yuna. ^^

  • OMG! You guys!!!

Despite Joannie's one step out of her jump her program was superior to Mirai's. I think Mirai has potential to be great, watch her in 2014.

Joannie' s such strong, athletic skater, together with her leg lines, extensions out of her jumps, she NEVER under-rotates (as far as I've seen), never "flutzes", her speed, her edge work in step sequences, place her v high, imo.

Desperately sad her mum died, but SHE didn't milk that?!! I thought SHE was v restrained and dignified.

  • Yes she is a fantastic figure skater, but given her competition she did not perform to podium level. She has NEVER placed on the podium on any international level competition before(& probably never will again)& there is a reason for that. Her competition,Kim Yu-Na & Mao Asada are sensational & flawless.Rachel Flatt landed all of her difficult jumps solidly,Joannie almost fell twice.Politics is not supposed to come into play when scoring but in history the scoring has been corrupt & they are human.

  • Sorry, but you are wrong here...Joannie won the silver at the World Championships in 2009.

  • Umm, yes, if you don't count the 2009 World Championships. Or the several other competitions (Four Continents, Grand Prix) where she finished higher than Mao Asada.

The only skater that is out of Joannie's reach is Kim YuNa. Everyone else is fair game for Joannie to overtake due to her quality jumps (never under-rotated), footwork, and artistry. And that's why she has the Olympic bronze medal.

  • Are you seriously comparing Rachael Flatt's jumps to even Mao and Yuna? Even Mao made mistakes in her free program.

For the record, Joannie has placed on international podium. Clearly you HAVEN'T been watching figure skating at all in the last four years.

  • She is a lovely woman inside and out.

  • she is sexy!

  • This is a beautiful song, sends me into a daydream

  • I think Joannie's short was excellent, Nagasu did long program well but, it wasn't that exceptional. Joannie deserves the bronze. I always like her expression, and the way she delivers the feelings to the performance.

  • She is amazing

  • everyone who actually watched can see that nagasu was much fuckin better then joannie.. only 2 people in the world breaks the 200 mark, and they are the best in the world... yet they just gave it to her... thats bullshit

  • Nagasu had a far easier program, that's why she skated cleaner.

I suggest you talk to people who actually know a thing or two about figure skating. Under this scoring system, Rochette's program was more difficult and complicated, and that's why she got the bronze despite the step-out on the triple flip.

  • @ricefarmer YOUE MOM IS BULL SHIT GO FUCK YOURSELF

  • she fuckin won cuz of her sob story... nagasu did way better then her... shes fuckin canadian thats why she won.. 3 asians should have won

  • fuck you chintoc

  • @ricefarmer YOU FUCKING DICK WON! HANG A MEDAL AROUND YOUR BIG FAT DICK YOU ASS HOLE.

  • @ricefarmer YOUR MOM LOSE BECAUSE SHE IS A FUCKING WHORE!!!

  • she won because she was great, she has grace and skates beautiful, and her programs are great. she deserved that bronze!

she lost her mother few days before the short program and for me she's the truly champion (not just because of this, she's my favorite for almost 7 years).

After what happened she had strength and power to skate very well. Joannie is a real hero!

  • Mirai was good and a far better skater than Flatt, her teammate but she was given a generous score. No edge calls and no URs when Mirai had some clearly questionable landings.

You should go check the protocols before complaining. Joannie actually got -GOEs. Butthurt much?

  • joannie mest up, how does that get above 200? dumbass

  • Yuna has messed up on her free skates and still got over 200.

Learn to spell, dumbass and haters to the left.

  • dumb bitch, if u seen it live all they did was talk about her fuckin sob story. and shes canadian of course they were biased.. if u dont think so ur a blind retard

  • Speak up now, I can't hear you over the butthurt.

  • Wow seriously, people are losing their moms everywhere and in some cases, some people don't even grow up with moms at all. What about the earthquake this past saturday and all the moms lost then. People are dying all around the world in horrific ways with no home to go to. If the olympics weren't in Canada, the result would not be the same.

  • I wish I could hug her. I love watching her skate. Love you Joannie Rochette

  • Is there a reason women figure skaters wear such little clothing? Not sure why I have never thought of it before but it just struck my mind.

  • It's just a classy way to exploit women I guess. But Women of the sport accept it.

  • most they actually wear skin-coloured tights/stockings. if you look at their legs and sometimes arms, you can see the darker colour of the stockings.

and i think it's because like a lot of contemporary & ballet dancers, they want their lines to be shown nicely

  • say that to Canada you little fuck.

  • How DARE you say that SCUMBAG !!!!!!!!

Let's see if you have the courage to perform when you lose a loved one !!!!!!!

Bet you won't even have the courage to go to work !!!!!!!!!!

  • skating shouldn't be judged on a personal tragedy that happened in her life.

in the short and long program she was judged unfairly because of her mother's death.

since when did skating become about personal conflicts? it didn't.

  • @MsBestmodelever I ONLY KNOW YOUR MOM HAS A BIG FAT DICK ...THATS ALL I HAVE TO SAY TO YOU, YOU WORTHLESS PIECE OF SHIT.

  • Sorry ? Explain !!!

  • Do you know what shes been through ..

    Dumbfuck!

  • yes I do, but that doesn't give her a medal. obviously i feel for her mother's death but i think she milked it all and received a medal solely because she was on home soil and it was a 'tragedy'. and thats NOT what skating about. at all.

  • And what do you think skate is about? If you say it's all about perfection, well you're wrong. Cause perfection doesn't exist. She did her best, she gave everything she had into her program, and they thought it was enough for a medal. I am not a figure skater and won't judge her perfomance but if I were a judge...I would take ''courage'' in consideration, as well as they did.

  • how did she "milk it", you miserable troll?

What did she say or do to "milk it"?

    Examples, please.

  • Rochette won because a) she was 7 points ahead of Nagasu leading to Free Skate b) Her long program under the new scoring system is of a much higher value. Fortunately, figureskating does not come down to a jumping contest anymore..

  • @MsBestmodelever YOUR MOM HAS A DICK GO SUCK IT RIGHT NOW

  • ur fucking crazy!

  • Olympics Joannie Rochette silver.

    Japan Money dirty.

  • c'mon

  • There is no sport more beautiful..

  • Gymnastics /cough :3 Just my opinion, i love ice skating as well.

  • After watching her skate tonight at the Olympics, beautifully, we now all know what TRUE COURAGE really is!

Well done, and please know that we are ALL with you Joannie!

  • she is amazing! and so so beautiful!

  • R.I.P 4 your dear mamy joanni god luck today, regardels from central america

  • go joannie

  • she is sooooo beutiful

  • Love and Good Luck today, Joannie.

  • my sympathies,Ms.Rochette..

  • I feel so sorry for Joannie that her mother died.

    Good luck tomorrow, Joannie!

  • We love you Joannie!

  • REST IN PEACE Mrs. Rochette.

  • とてもきれい・・・優雅だわ。

    ロシェットさんの美しい演技、バンクーバーで待ってます!

  • So amazing but why doesn't she do combos? She jumps then she takes one more move before jumping again....

  • Because it's a sequence jump.

  • i really hope she can do this at the olympics.... best LP of 2010

  • Please let this not be the best performance of this program this season!!!! This program could be so amazing, I was expecting so much after seeing this at Japan Open!

  • このプログラム、とっても好き!

    ロシェットさんが、ナショナル、オリンピックと笑顔で滑り終える事ができますように!!

  • She is Beautiful in every sense and expression of the word.

  • Just amazing!

  • Wow, I have not seen this program before, and i have to say that, if she skates this well in Canada, she will bring the house down!! It really is a masterpiece in terms of music and choreography, and very very exciting. They couldn't have picked better material for an olympic year... good luck!

  • I am not in rapture of this program. She has always been more "hard" than Yu-Na Kim and Mao Asada; and this program is not an exception.

  • WOW!! what a great program!! this is packed with difficulty, technically and artictically, man if she skates this clean at the olympics i think shes going to give Yu-Na Kim a run for her money. GREAT PROGRAM!

  • I agree the back half of this programs still needs some work but I can't wait to see hwere this gets her

  • Does anyone have the HQ version of this? :)

  • Her jumps are so solid and swift! Love the program!

  • This program is a MASTERPIECE!

    It's a harder program (choreographically) than Yu-Na Kim's.

  • I LOVE this program! And to think that it'll only get better!!!!!

  • I've always thought that final of olympic game will be between asada and kim, but now I clearly see rochette is strong competitor. (this season better than asada so far)

  • I agree!

  • My favorite of the skaters these days, hope she wins the gold in Vancouver!!!

  • very well done.

this was not boring as Mao's program.

Very energetic, difficult moves and transitions, jumos very secure, good spins..

for me she is a contender to gold in 2010 olympics with yuna-kim

  • i'm more impressed with her PC score. i think thats her highest yet. she can easily improve her TE score, but i think its harder to improve on the 2nd score. good for her, i hope she wins both of her gp events like she did last season.

  • WOW!!! Seven triples that early in the season and with such ease!

Wonderful choreography, interesting mix of Mon coeur s'ouvre à ta voix and the bacchanale. She's sooo ready for this Olympic season. Impressed!

  • amazing!!! love the music

  • Does some boby know who did the choreo??

  • Lori Nichol

  • @BestFiction0: Lori Nichol! I should have known! Man, that woman knows how to choreograph a routine, that's for sure!

  • I love the music, and her dress! With all season still to improve, I wonder just how MUCH she will?!.... It will be interesting to see...

  • This is the best Samson and Delilah I've ever seen! It nade me feel very excited! Go Joannie!!!

  • Wow, Joannie's got her groove going. Great speed and footwork, nice interpretation. You go girl.

  • that was awsome!!!!!!!!!

  • Well done, Joannie!! What beautiful carriage and lines, solid jumping as well.

  • amazing program! i can't wait to see it again at the olympics
