@KenMacMillan "Back when"? I'm a Baptist, and the divide between what Baptists and Catholics believe is almost as different as between what Jews and Baptists believe. Just because that idiot Rick Warren and others like him are trying to start an "emerging church" doesn't mean we're all going to drop what we know to be true and join the ecumenical club. That being said, I would gladly vote for a Catholic if I thought he was the best man for the job.
For those of you have said that he is an atheist you probably haven't done a thorough research on him. He is a catholic and he has once quoted that he hopes that people don't vote for or against him for his religious beliefs as it is irrelevant.
@WAHT97 there are tell tell sighs on this vidiop to sugest that this footage was made from composite ,like cgi today they were working on film the same way the overdubbed voice and clapping before the speach was ended plus if you compaire the size of the boys head in the background it should be smaller..a lot of kennedy photographs are fake..and when i say a lot i mean most.....
@MGCAUSTIN Freedom of religion is one thing, but are you comfortable with muslims trying to get a foothold on what can be done legally in this country?...Have you heard of 'sharia law'--which is basically the right to hit their wives, homosexuals must be executed, criticizing muhammad can lead to death, ect, ect........the founding fathers didn't have the middle eastern concerns in their day...kennedy certainly didn't have 'sharia law' as a possible concern....law and beliefs can't be separated.
@YANKEEKID95 Thank God there's YouTube, because, you know, you might have to pick up one of the hundreds of books written about President Kennedy over the last 45 years to find out for yourself.
no religious test for office.... yet that's what we're almost doing now. Regardless, there is no way on earth that one can be elected president without having faith.

It's interesting that those who respect the constitution are attacked by the so-called conservatives who want Christianity to be the state religion.
It's also interesting that JFK is called an atheist because he respected the first amendment.

Do you have any links? I would like to read / see about every politician mocking religion.

Unfortunately, an outspoken atheist would be considered unelectable by the vast majority of American voters.
The nature of the political beast mandates that atheism be hidden.
