Lucinda can make absolutely anything better just by speaking for a couple seconds. She's amazing. I mean, my grandma thinks gay people are sinners that purposefully spite God. But this woman is going out of her way to make sure that her grandson doesn't lose the love of his life- and if that special someone happens to be a man, then so be it. Just wonderful.

Why is this show so FUCKING unfair? WHY can't Luke and Noah just get along, live together, KISS ON CAMERA, wake up in the same bed and all that jazz? The screenwriters are just cruel to them. A tragic misunderstanding. Very interesting, though. They both are in love and want each other so badly, but they just can't seem to ever fully overcome their circumstances. Someday, though! Hopefully.

I think the ring had more 2 do w/his father than Ameera - he went into this not only 2 help her get a green card, but 2 keep the promises 2 her his father didn't & by taking it off, Noah's making the conscious choice 2 try & move past what happened in NY. It's the last tie he had 2 his father & I understand Noah feeling even though his father did AWFUL things, he still hoped he'd change & Noah'd see the side of him Ameera saw, the side of him Noah started 2 see before he dove into the water.
he's the guy with the really creepy bf who invited Nuke to that party with drugs and a hot tub! Dont know if you remember but then they ended up not going? His bf had the hots for Noah and now Regg is going after Luke!
Why did Luke leave with that cardboard prop, when he didn't have it when he entered? Bad continuity, ATWT! He left with it the last time, using it as a shield against Reg's initial advances
I thought it was a wondeful scene when you saw the ring lying on the floor at the cottage. At least Noah understands to some point that Luke is the one for him..

Not really,you can't really blame Luke for acting that way.He's been standing by Noah's side for so long,helping Noah getting through the denial about his sexuality,getting over his vicious dad,which was not completely finished,and then the fake marriage,with a girl who tried to seduce Noah and messed up their relationship.Luke held his mouth shut for so long,now it finally opened,but at a wrong time,because of the frustrations that's been keeping inside for so long.
Thats what we need - a real love rival, not some silly fake marriage. Its about time Noah realised that he can't keep treating Luke like rubbish and expect him to hang around. They will sort things out though. Its not long til saint Cindi arrives.

I stopped watching these due to Ameera; I kept hoping for a road side bomb to take her out before she started with another one of her 'One time... at an Iraqi Death Camp...' speeches.
Is she off the show... I hope? If she is (thank God) how did they write her out?
I'm kinda cool with Reg where I think the whole Ameera thing was a mess. Noteably because he's a GUY! Yeah in a soap you need to throw complications at a supercouple including triangles, going with the "wrong" person, affairs that are mistakes etc. But when you have a homosexual male supercouple, the "others" should also be homosexual males like Reg. That's why this works!
It makes no sense that Noah would invest so much energy grieving for his lost relationships with a psycho dad and with a needy, fake wife, whom he hardly knows - so much so that he is pushing away the only person who absolutely loves him with all his being. I still feel Noah blames Luke for everything that has happened to his dad and Ameera. That's unfair but of course, Noah is just looking for a scapegoat.
Noah might not be the most expressive of people, but by shutting his only support out, he gets nowhere. He doesn't know any way of coping by himself. He is the most confused person I've seen in a soap in a long time. All I kept saying while watching these two episodes is "But the Colonel is not dead!" There was no body found and villians seldom die that easily. Colonel committing suicide is laughable.
Luke grew up, in an environment where displays of love and affection were quite frowned upon, a strident military toughness code. With this type of upbringing and unfamiliarity with dealing with emotions openly, it is entirely believable that everytime Noah runs into a situation requiring deep emotional interaction that he clams up and throws up a defensive wall.
I find the "break" scenario very believable. After months of believing his father was nothing more than a homophobic bigot, Ameera comes along and provides a redeeming grace for psycho-dad. (He was sympathetic and protective of her and her mother) So Noah is grieving for the lost chance to get to know that side of his father. And, with his grieving, it's not that he's blaming Luke. It's more like: how can he explain to his boyfrined that he grieves the loss of the man who tried to kill him?
this break up story just seems like another way for the writers to put off Luke and Noah having sex for the first time... 8 MONTHS AND NO SEX? hmm... First it was Noah acting str8, then noahs crazzy fucking dad, then luke can't walk or get erect, then noah moves into Lukes house so no sex, then some chick from iraq (WTF?) shows up and has to marry noah, now the "break"... GET FUCKING WITH REALITY!!! In real life these to would already be doing it 5 times a day...

A tragic misunderstanding. Very interesting, though. They both are in love and want each other so badly, but they just can't seem to ever fully overcome their circumstances. Someday, though! Hopefully.

I know Noah wants time & space. But Luke is suffering too & he is the opposite of time & space. i can understand why Luke needed to talk/sit with Reg. Where r all the other younger characters? Involved in their own plots i guess. Luke needed someone else besides family & straight friends to confide in.
Now I'm a time & space girl too. But after watching this i hope when i have a lover I won't be like this.

I think the ring had more 2 do w/his father than Ameera - he went into this not only 2 help her get a green card, but 2 keep the promises 2 her his father didn't & by taking it off, Noah's making the conscious choice 2 try & move past what happened in NY. It's the last tie he had 2 his father & I understand Noah feeling even though his father did AWFUL things, he still hoped he'd change & Noah'd see the side of him Ameera saw, the side of him Noah started 2 see before he dove into the water.

seriously, i want to be mad at Noah, but i can't, It's Luke that is being Irrational. Noah wants time to think, he lost his father, and despite how horrible he was, he was still his father, so his feelings are all mixed up, why the hell can't Luke understand that he just needs time to think

Not really,you can't really blame Luke for acting that way.He's been standing by Noah's side for so long,helping Noah getting through the denial about his sexuality,getting over his vicious dad,which was not completely finished,and then the fake marriage,with a girl who tried to seduce Noah and messed up their relationship.Luke held his mouth shut for so long,now it finally opened,but at a wrong time,because of the frustrations that's been keeping inside for so long.

Thats what we need - a real love rival, not some silly fake marriage. Its about time Noah realised that he can't keep treating Luke like rubbish and expect him to hang around. They will sort things out though. Its not long til saint Cindi arrives.

I'm kinda cool with Reg where I think the whole Ameera thing was a mess. Noteably because he's a GUY! Yeah in a soap you need to throw complications at a supercouple including triangles, going with the "wrong" person, affairs that are mistakes etc. But when you have a homosexual male supercouple, the "others" should also be homosexual males like Reg. That's why this works!

It makes no sense that Noah would invest so much energy grieving for his lost relationships with a psycho dad and with a needy, fake wife, whom he hardly knows - so much so that he is pushing away the only person who absolutely loves him with all his being. I still feel Noah blames Luke for everything that has happened to his dad and Ameera. That's unfair but of course, Noah is just looking for a scapegoat.

Noah might not be the most expressive of people, but by shutting his only support out, he gets nowhere. He doesn't know any way of coping by himself. He is the most confused person I've seen in a soap in a long time. All I kept saying while watching these two episodes is "But the Colonel is not dead!" There was no body found and villians seldom die that easily. Colonel committing suicide is laughable.

Luke grew up, in an environment where displays of love and affection were quite frowned upon, a strident military toughness code. With this type of upbringing and unfamiliarity with dealing with emotions openly, it is entirely believable that everytime Noah runs into a situation requiring deep emotional interaction that he clams up and throws up a defensive wall.

I find the "break" scenario very believable. After months of believing his father was nothing more than a homophobic bigot, Ameera comes along and provides a redeeming grace for psycho-dad. (He was sympathetic and protective of her and her mother) So Noah is grieving for the lost chance to get to know that side of his father. And, with his grieving, it's not that he's blaming Luke. It's more like: how can he explain to his boyfrined that he grieves the loss of the man who tried to kill him?

this break up story just seems like another way for the writers to put off Luke and Noah having sex for the first time... 8 MONTHS AND NO SEX? hmm... First it was Noah acting str8, then noahs crazzy fucking dad, then luke can't walk or get erect, then noah moves into Lukes house so no sex, then some chick from iraq (WTF?) shows up and has to marry noah, now the "break"... GET FUCKING WITH REALITY!!! In real life these to would already be doing it 5 times a day...
