Look I can't STAND her but she is FAR from fat. I look like her NOW and have had ZERO kids. She looks great. The "drunk" stumbling and horrible lip syncing is horrid but she looks great. Not EVERYONE can have an airbrushed body

Even though it was three years ago doesn't make it any less appallingly terrible, just as if the blitzkrieg was 50-odd years ago, doesn't make it any less tragic. What are these "circumstances"? She was doing a comeback? If I was a famous pop star and I wanted to make a comeback, I would make sure my performance was top notch. It's irrelevant she has had children, by the way, that's just an excuse.

She didn't even pretend to sing, nor did she really attempt to dance. And the outfit was as unflattering as it possibly could be. I think maybe she should have just stayed in bed that day, but thank god she's got it back together now.

@soundseeker63 I know that the public conciousness is that she "has it together now". But I attended the Circus tour and she half heartedly danced, while badly lipsynching to the cd (no backing track like many artists use). I have to admit, she has upped her game after seeing the GMA performance this past week. But it still feels like she's uncomfortable on stage or not really all that interested. I don't know if she'll ever fully be back in the zone, no pun intended.

I LOVE BRITNEY! THIS PERFORMANCE WAS SHIT, but it was BETTER THAN OTHER ARTISTS' PERFORMANCES WHEN THEY'RE AT THEIR BEST! There's just something about the Legendary Miss Britney Spears. She's the only reason to watch the VMAs... that's why I'm not watching this year!

Its not as bad as everyone is thinking but it was a pretty bad way to open a show and the HYPE for this comeback was just unreal and the expectations from everyone were sorta unrealistic. you got to remember it britney spears, she never sings live anyway so other than her really not moving around it wasnt that bad.

I feel so bad for Britney ever having done this. I'm so glad that she got herself together and came back with Circus. I regained my respect for her after watching her documentary and seeing her reinvent herself in a positive way. I can't wait to see what she does next.

Would it start to affect you? i know it would me. Im sure at this point she pretty much felt like crap about herself. BUT thats all in the past now. Now if MTV would let her open again....

the reason why this was so bad. it's that she didn't sing or dance. If she didn't want to dance then she should sing, and if she didn't want to sing then she should at least have a rocking dance choreography. thats why this performance was a fail.
