  • FUCK!!! AWESOME!! these guys are at the top of the game..come to Melbourne !!!!!

  • Are they still making music today( this year 2012)

  • lupus canis

  • schpeed

  • Look up to be there, anywhere is somewhere. Itchy past scratch the itch.

    BAMM!

sentir la douleur? il est de notre conception, oui?

dans l'obscurité est la vérité, oui?

J'ai oublié de vous remercier pour l'affichage de cette performance.

    je vous remercie! : *)

  • Probably the best band ever created

  • ohGr's mask... a plague doctor mask?

  • @HahaGod I think its Anubis actually, google "Anubis", the god from Egyptian mythology.

  • anubis...the shakal

  • anubis...

  • mostly filmed in mtl.. just so y'all know

    - mark

  • awsome awsome live performance and a great song

  • i got freaked out from there albums, like i could not sleep at all one night, the shit that was going threw my mind was crazy

  • they rock

  • I hate reading these comments when they compare SP to others. Without these innovators, none of the industrial scene would be what it is today. There is no comparing. 30 years strong, cant be touched.

  • what the hell is happening on the screen? like demon sex or something?

  • @Flaminskullz13 What the hell...? not quite. it's just who we are and what we do. ... Where within the space can anything feel certain. Look into the future make out the word speak Send in the spies to watch them. Creepy are the people unable to do something. Sitting on an armchair fenced in their creation. Look up to be there, anywhere is somewhere. Itchy past scratch the itch. BAMM! sentir la douleur? il est de votre propre conception yes?
  • @littlekitten1026 no, on the screen behind the guy singing. what is happening?

  • @Flaminskullz13 i like to beleive its a metafore for fuel resources... e.g. raping the land

  • Is that Ogre in the mask?

  • @peteagassi DUHHHH

  • @dimmuburger97 I'm new to the band. Wasn't sure if Ogre was still with the band. Just discovering this band a few weeks ago, so forgive some of my stupid questions, LOL!

  • I get half rabid just looking at these guys, seeing them perform is practically orgasmic.

  • this band is UNIQUE ! hands down

  • The show was fantastic. I still have lots of photos. He didn't wear this getup. Instead, he performed behind a cloth for a song or two then walked out with some sort of ... gas, air contraption and welding mask and performed mostly like that. Also, I remember he hurt his eye, so he performed with a patch.

True, some of the drummer in these songs isn't so intense, but everyone live was great. Ogre brought the most energy followed by Bennett, believe it or not.

  • get off the fence trip, rip up the garbage, make it up to the EARTh, bitch!

  • Justin Bennett is such a sick drummer.

  • @nexusparanoia i'm pretty sure that's cEvin Key drumming. he goes back and forth between different instruments during shows. I saw them last year (for the first time in my life, i might add) and i could see him rocking out back there.

  • @lokust9ine They use drums, correct, but I saw SP back in 2008 as well and even met Justin after the show.

  • @nexusparanoia Right on! So, was it a good show? As in, the staging and stuff? I've loved SP since I was in high school, and the only thing I think I didn't like when I saw them (besides Dwayne not being there) was that the stage show--ogrE's costumes, props, etc., was a lot more tone-D down. Besides that, was in total industrial Heaven... :-D

  • @nexusparanoia Justin is an AMAZING guy. They all are.

I drank Vodka with Justin and got real pissed XD

  • @nexusparanoia

    He absolutely rocks. Killer performance.

  • he looks a little like pyramid head from silent hill

  • I'm not positive but I believe he is wearing a plague mask.

  • hit me, hit me .. <3

  • His headgear looks like a Bosch painitng come to life...

  • Rock out

  • One of these days I'm going to rape the shit out of Ogre.

  • me encanta su disfraz!!! SP rulez!!!

  • SKINNY PUPPY RULES

  • nice, i saw these guys a few times, as much as i loved other groups live shows like Pink Floyd, Manson, Alice Cooper, David Bowie etc. i think skinny puppy is vastly underrated, especially at their live shows, all i got to say is that if you thought this was awesome live you have no idea, their performances are wacky as hell!

  • Fuckin amazing motherfockers!!! Skinny Puppy rules!

  • I dont like the satanic looks of that show :(

  • ya a really non heavy metal band, but amazing and it is rock just not heavy metal, that wears bad ass bloody and zombie like costumes :D

  • Haha they're so epic live

  • GAHHH I missed their concert in November. I was SO pissed. Not only are they my 2nd favorite band, but they put on such an energetic show!

  • instruments*

  • I liked nin before sp but thats just cause Im young and was introduced to nin first

when i listen to SP i respect/like them more for their sound/interments and stage presence(love the costumes)

I respect trent more for his lyrics and the little storied all the albums tell.He seems more emotional than SP and thats the main difference between the bands.

Theyre both good, doesnt matter who started it or who ripped off who.

    THIS IS JUST MY OPINION.

    dont hate -.-

  • @SamixVengeance trent ripped off skinny puppy. ohgr is a god and trent is a little emo cry baby fag, that cant even come up w/ his own concept.

  • @SplatterdaySaints I love Broken & Downward Spiral, all else is crap. Trent almost singlehandedly created the emo scene that exists now. Here's what happened with him: he's some pansy in some crap newage band Exotic Birds. Girlfriend that he worships dumps him, citing God as the reason. A short time later, he she's her with her new bf who's some insane skp worshipping freak, blowing the whole God excuse, this turned him into the NIN persona. So we're left w/ his crap and now the emo scene

  • @SplatterdaySaints I'm so sick of dumbfucks like you going around calling everyone "emo" because they express some emotion. Emo is a whole different genre, it doesn't define a person, it defines a style of art. Trent's music was his expression of something that he felt, and whether you liked it or not, the fact that he had the balls to express himself that way makes him a kickass artist/musician.

And he didn't rip off Skinny Puppy, all bands are influenced by others.

    And this video=amazing!

  • @HisSmittenKitten OK good point ill correct myself i emulated skinny puppy and hell even admit it he did that in order to mold his own style and concept watch the vid for your self its the 40 min interwiew with him he is very educated in what he does as a musician and producer ive always admired him but its funny to get a rise out of the lil kids that worship him

  • @HisSmittenKitten @HisSmittenKitten OK good point ill correct myself he emulated skinny puppy and hell even admit it he did that in order to mold his own style and concept watch the vid for your self its the 40 min interwiew with him he is very educated in what he does as a musician and producer ive always admired him but its funny to get a rise out of the lil kids that worship him

BTW he doesnt make a direct reference to SP before you bring that up

  • @SplatterdaySaints Are you referring to the point in the interview where he is discussing his first steps to get the band signed? If so, I'm not quite sure that he meant that he was trying to emulate their style, I think that he meant that those bands were at the point where he saw himself and where he wanted Nine Inch Nails to be in a few years, but he wasn't discussing his music, he was discussing business. That's what I got from it, but it could be taken either way I suppose.

  • @SplatterdaySaints And I want to say that I'm glad that you do recognize his talent, or if not that, at least you appreciate the fact that he knows what he is talking about. I can respect your opinion now that it seems a bit more relevant :)

  • skiiny pupppy amazing

    1Protest

    2Dig It

    3Immortal

    4Goneja

    5Addiction

  • Skinny Puppy has many cool tracks. I agree that lots of their songs are secondary trash, but there are tracks I adore - Cult, HAze, Killing Game etc.

We can't say it is shit. All in all, many people like them.

P.S. I do not understand why is their album ViVisect so popular?

  • That was kinda provacative haha metal thrusting weeners

  • hahaha ya

  • Cool shit, wonder when i get to see them live?! :)

  • Comment removed

  • Where do you live? They just did a US tour last month, and I got to go see that.

  • i live in sweden ^^

  • i wanna know what kind of guitar is in this video

  • Disappointing how all the other bands you fans mention, aren't even 'Industrial' nor in Skuppy's league.

So no; it would be embarrassing to see them play along side FLA, NIN, or any other EBM/Matal band you get misconstrued with.

  • Just to say: NIN is really better in concert. I'm not really into his newer music but you must admit he is an artist.

But really I want to ask: Skinny Puppies league? Do you really think there is another band in Skinny Puppies league? If so let me know which one.

  • psyclon nine ?

  • @p9fanfrmep

    no skinny puppy,way before them

  • You really dont your music to well, if it wasn't for SP...NIN never would have happened....and you might want to take a look who help produce NIN and help Trent with his sound...

  • umm i actually i do know that and i also no trent loves ministry and sp and anuther band who i am blanking.. i also no nins down in it is a rip off of dig it..but just bcuz sp started nin doesnt mean u guys are better in concerts...i also know how dificult this song is live probably.i have alot of respect for skinny puppy. skinny puppy is coming to my town and im wondering if they play goneja live..which is my favorite song..but it seems imposible to play certain aspects of the song live

  • Thats right i love trent but Skinny puppy are the shit and trent was a huge follower of there's . he used to follow them around.

  • i agree if it was not for Skinny Puppy industrial would not even be made. NIN would not exist as well as many other industrial bands that are influenced by Skinny Puppy

  • They and their music - all my life

  • Love skinny puppy.. Love NIN tooo!! so amazing both of them!

  • The greatest Tour/Concert ever would be is Rammstein and Skinny Puppy toured together.

  • yea, a Rammstein and skinny puppy tour would be brilliant, the problem is that Rammstein don't tour in america and Skinny Puppy aren't really doing any european tours.

  • Rammstein, Skinny Puppy and NIN would be the greatest tour ever.

  • skinny puppy ministry NIN rammstein ReVcO frontline assmblly all do a tour called the industrial revolution

it wuld be like warpped tour opnly for awsome bands

  • wait did dis happen y was i not told that wood be so epic

  • hahahaha that was a good comment

  • I love playing this song at Parties, lets me show my true colors without anyone noticing :p ...this live version rocks, thanks for posting :)

  • just blasted this song in my car at 7:30 am.

  • Yeah! Skinny Puppy! Real industrialized muzik. Love this band and NIN.

  • Manson? who the fuck is that?

    SKINNY PUPPY!!

  • Totally Agree

  • fuck, this band is so awesome.

real innovators and actual friggin artists. I was so sceptical when they announced a comeback, but just friggin watch them go off live. wow. this shit gave me goosebumps when I saw them play live 2004. another european tour please! :)

  • @phaeryen yeah the first 3 albums were pricless but he's always been a crybaby

  • I'm a big industrial fan, i never warmed to skinny puppy much. But this song fucking rules.

  • Im the same way i love ministry and NIN but not a huge skinny puppy song. LOVE the song Immortal though.

  • yeah iam a huge NIN/Ministry/Manson fan, just now getting into skinny puppy. Amazing song.

  • lol new skinny puppy is garbage compared to their older shit. still decent though.

  • Is it just me or does their newer stuff sound more like Ogre's solo work. While their old stuff sounded like Cevin Key's solo stuff.

  • and Ironically the new ohgr album sounds like a Too Dark Park 2

They really should just flip those two album's artists - TGWR and Mythmaker should be counted as Ohgr albums, and DIMD should be counted as a Skinny puppy album

  • i cant wait to hear their new album

  • mythmaker is kinda disappointing in my opinion i don't criticize anyone for enjoying it but i just find it really hard to listen to

  • I love how Ogre's not even a singer yet he can still deliver a better vocal performance than Marilyn Manson nowadays

  • Manson has what to do with Skinny Puppy how?

Yeah, I love MM to death but his live shows are suffering.

On topic, I love this song.

  • love this song. the vids of concerts are amazing because he always wears masks and the music is brilliant. The most awesome people are always some degree of insane hahahaha

  • Lenorebunny,

    Insane....or a true artist :)

  • well said ; )

  • Love it!

  • my oh my... they are messed up. Awesome

  • Mannom p those are sampled from an old track of theirs called "Brap". Classic tune - check it out. :)

  • Yeah, I'm not the biggest fan of Skinny Puppy. But, I do acknowledge their amazing ability.

They're just too far out there for me I guess.

  • I love the screams at the beginning of the song, a very nice added bonus.

  • on ratio i listen to the live version 100 to 1 to the original...probably because of those screams and how well it flows.

  • i was there and this video does no justice to the live experience; watching it hurts the great memories i have of how amazing the show really was. i saw the camera crew and had to relinquish my rights if i was video-taped. nevertheless, they had a big staff of camera men, it's just not mixed all that well. sorry this is painful to watch and listen to based on what i experienced. thanks for uploading, though. SP!

  • O_o is he talking/singin on the mic or is digital holy crap O_o

  • The singer shouts and the keyboards guy samples him, then distorts the living shit outta his voice. An old Skinny Puppy favorite.

  • @persona555

No i'm sure ogre can do that with his voice because he's like satan or something

  • @persona555 That's the essence of industrial music: take technology and make it your bitch :D

  • I saw them 2 years ago in Toronto. They were amazing.

  • Daamn this song is catchy..

  • how does ogre make his voice like that?

  • ogre uses distortions on his mic plus he can change his voice in weird ways too

  • he can sing veeeeery speed ;) awesome voice !

  • The drums are awesome live

  • yea, its a shame they used drum machines on pretty much all their albums though.

  • Wow, great quality.

  • I don't know what he's wearing on his head but I want one.

  • yeah Ogre has some far out costumes. Im particularly fond of the meat suit

  • @plumbc Ogre makes his own costumes youd have to rob him :)

  • @plumbc its what people in the dark ages used to wear. they would feel the nose with smell good shit to cover up the smell of dead bodies..

  • @plumbc

I know the girl who designed it

  • @plum

  • @plumbc yeh i know it almost looks like the scene in beetle juce when they guy pulled his face forward lol

  • At the risk of having my sanity, personality and taste attacked on all sides by vengeful Puppy fans let me just say this: they are my favourite Canadian band. I've seen them virtually every time they've come to Toronto going back to their very first show here circa 88 and yeah, I gots all dere records too. Having said that, I find their newer work to lack a certain potency that I love about albums like "Too Dark Park" or "VivisectVi". Not my cup of tea right now but God I love these boys. peace

  • This is one Puppy fan who will agree. Pro-Test is a bloody good song, however. Especially judged by it's own merits and ignoring SP's back catalog.

  • If you love Skinny Puppy, check out the upcoming movie REPO! The Genetic Opera. It's a rock opera, and Nivek Ogre stars in it, so that means plenty of him singing. ^_^

  • there's a lot of pressure for any composer to surpass or equal their previous work, specially if they have a big fan base.

most of them just repeat the same shit they have done before because "it worked"

some of them just do whatever the fuck they want, like skinny puppy has been doing since the beginning

fans judge and consume their idols and their work, they will eat the songs they like and dispose what they don't

maybe it would be different it fans knew what it takes to make just a song.

  • i challange ogre to a street fight

  • Hahaha.

  • you know, it's funny how Skinny Puppy from the beginning has actually been an "experimental" band, not exactly an industrial band, which means that it should be common knowledge by now that they're going to continue to explore music, rather than just grind the same sound into your head for several albums.

  • I've been a fan since the early 90's. Every album they've ever made has been different, and each time, the "old guard" fans get really pissed off and talk shit just because SP didn't shit out an exact duplicate of the last album like most artists do. I just ride the wave. I like all their albums except Bites, even this one. Artists have every right to change their style - that's not selling out, it's exploration. Judge the album by what it is, not by what you think SP should be like.

  • add &fmt=18 to the end of the url to go to high-quality.

  • naw man it looks the same man.

  • horrible quality :(

  • Rush, Skinny puppy, and kids in the hall are the best things to ever come out of canada.

  • dont forget Strapping Young Lad

  • Fuck Yeah !

  • hey what album is this song in?

  • The Greater Wrong of the Right

  • SP rocks but this stuff is so inferior to the early SP.

  • Skinny Puppy rules. RIP Dewayne

  • stop the bullshit!!!! Jus Listen fucks

  • Live version much better than the album, but still the song pretty much sucks. It's to oHgr-esque.

  • I love the screaming in the beginning. That's cool that they add stuff for their live performances.

  • awesome video video quality sucks tho

  • people, don't take music so damn seriously.

  • Dude, that's like saying "Don't take breathing so seriously, oxygen isn't important."

    NIN

  • Ahh yes, NIN.. the band HEAVILY influenced by SP.

  • you need to stop breathing and rot in the ground. idiot

  • I love Skinny Puppy. I love sarcasm. I love humor. I hate retreads like you that have no sense of humor and aren't smart enough to get sarcasm. My sarcasm was based on the fact that the character Capt Jack Sparrow acts a lot like cEvin Key does on stage. They share a ton of similar antics. Have you ever seen Skinny Puppy? My first show was in 1989. Seen them 7 times total. But if you had seen them then you would get the joke. Johnny Depp emulating cEvin Key and not Keith Richards. Moron.

  • If you have to explain it it's not worth explaining. At least not to some people who blindly worship their favorite band.

  • I honestly doubt Depp emulates Key. Is he a fan of SP?

  • Wait, what? Who said that?

  • Come on guys ... SP has to evolve or they'd die. There were hints of this shift even in Last Rights and the first couple of Download projects and certainly in The Process. I've seen SP 3 times in the last year, just as good as the first time, it's just a different era. Besides, I think SP is doing things now they could only dream about 20 years ago. Personally for me I'd be disapppointed if the sounded the same now as on Too Dark Park, one of my favorite albums btw.

  • You are the most insightful person in this entire league of shitty comments by "classic fans" who can't learn to accept new things. Praise you.

  • Ah, here we go again. You are the stubborn person who unable to accept the fact that your beloved band may make mistakes. People like you will applaud to them even if Ogre will sing in J. Timberlake style to B. Spears tune. Stop worshiping SP and start listening.

  • I AM listening. I'm not a fanboy, I just really like their two newest albums. Why? Because it's a more accessible sound for me. Accept the fact that some people have different opinions, okay?

  • Now you should accept the fact that someone doesn't like the new albums as much as previous material and makes his opinion vocal. It's not the accessibility of new songs that I find is wrong. Download was able to preserve the qualities going through a very substantial stylistic change. Maybe it has something to do with production.TGWOR and MM are mostly outright boring (despite real quirky sounds and a couple of great songs). In my opinion new SP output is more fit to ohGr fans in general.

  • Sorry, but "boring" isn't quite what describes it for me. Maybe I find some of their earlier stuff boring. The point stands, it's a matter of personal taste, and a lot of Skinny Puppy fans just bitch and moan because Skinny Puppy didn't recycle their material over and over again.

  • That's your mistake. This lot of Skinny Puppy fans bitch and moan not because of direction, but because lack of excitement. Skinny Puppy always changed their music, but each album was pioneering. Their last two albums don't sound unique anymore. That's what I call boring. You find their earlier stuff boring just like 5th-grader would find advanced mathematics boring.

  • "Excitement" is a relative term. And you can't tell me that their two newest albums aren't unique. Name anything at all that sounds similar, their newest work is extremely innovative and creative and very well-produced. That's my OPINION, you can't tell me that it's set in stone that they're no longer unique and no longer exciting. I think what it is for me is that I'm not as much of a fan as the "raw" sound of old SP, while other people are. I prefer the more glitchy, refined music thy make now

  • TV commercials sound similar, some pop acts sound similar, one of the songs ('useless' if remember the name) sounds a lot like Linkin Park, to the point it's not even funny. I'm not going to persuade you, SP are not as good as they were before. I'm happy you like new output. So Britney Spears has many fans, and even Paris Hilton. To each his own.

  • Please stop comparing new Skinny Puppy to Britney Speares, Paris Hilton, and Linkin Park. There is no similarity whatsoever, I don't even want to hear it.

  • What's wrong with Britney? What's wrong with Paris? Especially with Paris. She's singing along Ogre in REPO, and you have to be excited a lot about this venture, since you are ready to swallow anything is raved about on Litany, aren't you? So it is more than fair to compare SP to any other musical act. And in case of Useless Linkin Park is a very close comparison. I'm sorry I' hurting your non-conformist feelings, please don't cry, get back to TGWOR if it makes you feel better.

  • Hahaha, you're such a fucking moron. Don't try to patronize me because I have an opinion differing of yours. "Hurf durf don't cry", oh get over yourself you stuck-up internet tough-guy, and stop going off on a hate rant. Just because new Skinny Puppy music doesn't set well with you doesn't mean it sounds like those shitty-ass artists you listed. Just stop. Really, you're embarrassing yourself.

  • Exactly right. SP's sound has changed every album, and each time, the fanboys start kicking and screaming. Compare viVIsectVI to Last Rights and then to The Process. What they're saying now about 'Wrong of the Right, they all said about all those albums, too.

No matter what you guys *think* SP should be, they're going to continue exploring music, and if they gave a shit about what fashion you buy from Hot Topic, they'd have been a pop band a long time ago.

  • Nobody talks about what they SHOULD be. It's the question of liking/disliking the output of a band. While Process though wasn't as great as Last Rights or TDP, it still couldn't alienate me from SP, but TGWOR did just that. If not for Vault series and new Download I almost gave up on them. Honestly listen back to back TDP and TGWOR - the degradation is so obvious.

  • jesus nice compression on this one

  • Can't help but be a little disappointed with Skinny Puppy's new material. I realize that they have evolved and may be capturing a younger audience. But for those like me who have listened to them since the 1980s, man, just no comparison really. I miss DR Goettel. I always felt that he was the real genius behind Skinny Puppy.
