@cyclekarl Well vietnam got the support of the soviet union, and the americans i think they killed 10000 vc's in combat while 8000 american troops died, they lost the war, and then back in the 80's the soviet union was having their own war with afghanistan and the americans helped the insurgents to win the war, and the soviet union got his big arse kicked

@UncleRecolour Actually, the casualty rate in the Afghanistan war was very in favour of the Soviet Union. The only reason they left was because of Gorbachev and his "new way of foreign politics"

Imo shere numbers makes it easy for US to take on all of EU. Short of using nuklear power, US will win any matchup you can find, short of US against the world. US combine quality and quantity. One of the largest armies in the world(Only beaten by China?), the largest fleet and airforce combined with superior/modern equipment will give them some sort of advantage in any decent matchup. Against EU it will be numbers...

That was great. I read that just after this movie hit the theatres young guys were lined up around the block at US Amry recruiting centres wanting to be gunship pilots. Unfortunately most ended up as grunts.
