  • Thanks for posting all this!

  • When I was 21 I read The Electric Kool Aid Acid Test by Thom Wolf. It had some inspiring descriptions of Grateful Dead concerts, the schoolbus Further with a outdoor soundsysteem, day glow orange paint and acid tests. I thought it was one of the most inspiring books I ever read. Then I heard the music of Grateful Dead and I remember being really dissapointed. What a boring redneck music. Seeing this clip only confirms it. In my mind it was far out psychedelic and experimental. Imagion that.

  • @3ertin The Dead played EVERY kind of music. This particular song has some Country Blues elements to it, but so what? It was rather psychedelic at the time for a bunch of liberal hippies to be playing music that was once only for die hard conservatives. The Dead helped to make it hip. . But anyways,, The Dead got REALLY psychedelic in their jams. The Dead were not a country band. You haven't listened to them enough.

  • And the HAMMOND B-3 SOUND??

  • Great video DUDE! This is live footage of the Grateful Dead in Toronto, Canada I think its from 1971 Festival Express tour which was a train ride threw Canada mostly for the performers but pitstops to perform and get more booze ha, dont drink the Canadian Club, unless you wanna trip. Still there was a free show demanded by the CRAZY CROWD trying to bust into the show, so the Grateful Dead did a free show to get the crazy crowd settledown.

  • word.... don't ease me in, been allll niggghhtt longg comin' home....
