I'm confused.... T-Bone is the Best Funk / R&B Bass Players on the planet, I've only watched 2 H&O videos and he's playing Acoustic Guitar in the Rhythm Section... WAZ UP....???? I remember GE Smith and T-Bone playing W/ H&O in the 70/80's live and in Vids, then GE became the Music Dir for SNL, last time I saw SNL Lenny Pickett (Tower Of Power) was doing the honors...

@motownharry T-Bone played bass for a long time and then switched to guitar. He went back to bass occasionally but finished his career playing guitar. He died suddenly in Feb 2010 :( Such a great loss!

Charlie at 2:24 - that sound, Mr. Smooth. T-bone at 3:48 - awesome. John is really feeling it at 4:52 - in the groove. All these guys are so talented, great musicians, and they love what they do. Best of all time.....NO....but classic HELL YEA!.....Hall of Fame HELL YEA!.....Timeless....HELL YEA!!!! I like Hall and Oats also but to call them the best is an over statement, but yest they are damn good!!! I think their Song selection is what made them.....the only sang songs that fit them and not whatever was thrown at them!!!!! Top 100 groups Definitly!!!!

Saw them live in Portland 91. Convinced Hall is the best vocalist I've ever heard then, and now. Not to mention keys. Range, tone, etc... who can match? A few in the same room... Henly, G. Michael, MJ, Stevie in prime. Unreal. Don't get credit deserved-- not edgy enough, or whatever. Thoughts?

I absolutely agree that this is the best version of them all. I like the way Daryl takes the notes down instead of up in the second verse. He did a similar thing in Detroit in November and I'd wished they had recorded the show.
