before four years, i was in a kind of hell..... this song has changed my life...it has been four years i never felt bad and wrong regardin things around me...i believe in supernatural power....
I've been reading this whole discussion about God and Jesus and the Bible and so on... (yeah, I've got too much time :P) I do not believe in the Bible, but I believe in the God and the Goddess. Wicca way, to make it clear. They are always there, and they do not judge anyone, or anything. They love everyone like he/she is, and give anyone the chance to make their own decisions. If you make a mistake, you get a second chance. When you die, knowing that you've been wrong, you will go to heaven.
@moroney1 but this song criticses invalid things. For example, asking God if He has ever been hungry. of course He has, He was on earth among us and would've gotten hungry
@AMY1213141 Theres worse things in life than this song. Be more offended by something relevant and put your energy into something that may help others...
i dont steal anything but of course i sometimes lie lol but i dont think it makes me a sinner xD and yeah u got right about agnosticism...one of us is right only, we all see the truth after we die, see you in the hell lol '' kidding '' xD
@herman1106 You are a sinner because you have broken God's holy Commandments, that's why. God is the judge and He knows everything.
The Bible is God's word and tells you that we either go to Hell or to Heaven. It's our choice, we have free will. We can reject God's plan of salvation or receive His salvation. So why wait till we die, when the truth and the answers are in the Bible? :)
People take it as blasphemous by some of the comments. There probably isn't a human being alive who hasn't questioned God's existence or tried to find understanding at one time or another. "If our fates have all been wrapped around your finger and if you wrote the script then why the troublemakers"...is asking if you put this book together on your beliefs then why do negative people come into the picture and it's questioning if our lives are predestined from birth because of God's plan. Fave <3
Song is about God's logic to doing things & who he is as a being but almost everybody wonders that. It questions which religion is the right way to follow, why do things happen the way they do or have & does God feel the same things that we do as humans. Asks if we forgive God for what has happened wrong if he'll forgive us as well. It's a song questioning if God really feels superior to us or maybe feels the same things that we all do. One of my faves and never had the nerve to comment. ;)
@xXxAnonymousOnexXx1 Yes, but the answers are in the Bible, that's it. That's where she can find her answers to all of her questions about God.
"It's a song questioning if God really feels superior to us or maybe feels the same things that we all do."
God IS superior to us, absolutely! He created us and everything, is all-knowing and all-powerful. Yet God sent His Son Jesus Christ who suffered on the cross for us and that if we believe on Him we may have everlasting life. That is love!
What a horrible disgusting and satanic song that is. Shakira is a disgrace to Christians in Latin America and Latin-American communities. She is headed for Hell. But there is a way out for her: Jesus Christ is the way. God Will Forgive Anybody!
your fucking retarded its a SONG about god and her questioning gods logic dont say something like that you will get jumped by mexicans and by white people who love shakira you want a satanic song to discrace? look somewhere else stupid. like of you agree
@eric5335 it's not a satanic song at all, she doesn't ignore God's exist, she asks questions cleverly, and people who are slaves of the god find the questions absurd, why dont you try to reply questions in ur perspective
@herman1106 Part 1: Listen to and read the lyrics: "What language do you speak?", "Are you some kind of freak?" and "But if I forgive yours, will you forgive mine?". I mean, who does she think God is? God made us and gave her and all of us the earth to live on and so much more. And instead of being grateful Shakira attacks and blames God for man's lust and greed that causes starvation and earthly woe. It's not God's fault that mankind is evil and rebellious!
@mistahknani THE DEVIL: Well. The Devil was an angel living in Heaven with God but because the Devil became arrogant in his beauty and status and decided he wanted to sit on a throne above that of God, he was cast out and is now a fallen angel. Demons were also disobedient angels and now get orders from Satan. So it is not God's fault.
@mistahknani ADAM AND EVE AND THE FALL: You know that Adam and Eve lived in a perfect world with God before the fall. God gave them everything but they should not eat of The Forbidden Fruit (from The Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil). Then came the Devil and tempted Eve and told her lies like "do you really believe what God said"? and so on. Eve sinned and eventually Adam did too. That's when death and sin entered the world.
@mistahknani So what does this all mean? It means that we live in a fallen world where we humans wanted to have our own, we wanted to to have our own will and our own little world. We also have free will and had it from the beginning. We can either choose God or not. Hell is a place that was originally made for the Devil and the demons. The Devil knows that, but he can't attack God so he instead attacks God's darlings, us humans.
@mistahknani God loves us and absolutely wants us to come to Him and go to Heaven. The Devil hates us and wants us to follow him and go to Hell so he and the demons can be in company.
So we are imperfect sinful beings and the Devil will tell us all kinds of lies so that we sin even more and reject God and even make us believe that we can be our own gods.
Yet still look at this world. God still gave us life, food, beautiful nature and we still experience love and happiness.
@eric5335 Part 1This fight is so stupid..i'm catholic i listen to this song so many times. Though even i believe in god and i know he loves us and i have read the bible. God is like a father he loves us all and i'm sure he would be very ashamed what your doing. Even if people don't believe in him he will still love them no? Yes he gave us life. Though he never gave us answers this song is asking questions. Now don't go saying this song is satanic because you don't like what it means.
@AlyssaGirl123 Part 2 We all have questions. Now i don't believe the bible gives us answers to know about god! The bible we read is probably isn't the real copy they out cretin scriptures. Since god is like a father do not deny you have never asked questions to your on father!! Then whats so wrong asking God questions. We do not know what God life is like!! So tell me whats Gods life like since your so holy. Tell me go ahead. Do you know if he cry's? Do you know if he feels out pain? Do you?
@AlyssaGirl123 You don't know what hes like and neither do I. So, stop this Godly acting and stop insulting these people what they believe in. Stop acting your so holy because your not. Insulting these people and this artist is only making you sin you think you know that? Now if you didn't like the song don't call something satanic that you don't like. So just get out of here and spread what you think God is like to some people who care. Hey i don't even know how God is. Though i can still ask.
@AlyssaGirl123 And yes, you are right. God loves unbelievers too. That's why Jesus did for them about 2000 years ago. Jesus conquered death by rising again on the third day. With Adam death entered the world and Jesus conquered death.
@AlyssaGirl123 We are NOT god or gods. We are helpless imperfect beings who are evil and sin (me included). I admit, I do not live the perfect holy life. Jesus did though and it is through Him that we can go to Heaven. Why accuse God of all kinds of things when you just have to look at yourself and admit that you are not perfect. Have you ever lied? Stolen something? I have, that's for sure. But God loves us so much that He gave His only begotten Son - John 3:16.
@eric5335 There is a time in your life where you might question christianity. and That is part of your journey with christ. We do face hard times in life that may bring us to question? Im christian But Theres a minority of christians (particulary in US) it frightens me that they use thousand year old scriptures to opress their views onto people and judge people (judging people in gods name is a sin) especially When SOME (I stress SOME..NOT ALL) of the bible doesnt apply to todays society.
2 Timothy 3:16,17: "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works."
And just because the scriptures are old doesn't matter. Today's cultural norms don't matter either. The Bible is still the Word of God. God doesn't suddenly change His mind on issues, morals etc. :)
@eric5335 I agree with you. I am refering to the Old testament when i say this. The New testament i feel applies more today mostly. Im saddened to find that people are being bullied and judged by "so called" christian minorities for their sexuality, taste in music ,etc. They use god as a weapon. some people take some of the bible too literal. that its almost opposite to what christianity is. and not what jesus taught us when he was on earth. The most important is to believe. Godbless you too:)
@bettypager7 IS it not obvious the Bible could not have been written by a loving God. IT is full of God ounishing individuals in acts of rage and vengence. It is nothing more than a primitive collection of bronze age books that should be discarded as violent myth
@moroney1 I agree. This is comin from a christian. People who take the WHOLE bible seriously, especially the old testament are deluded. It is a collection of books/rules written centuries ago. In the old test rules such as: cripples are banned from worship, you cant wear fabrics made from 2 types of yarn, you cant cut your hair/beard.etc. are so wrong. It says kill all who worship other gods, But then it says thou shalt not kill. its contradicting itself. they arent relevent and shud b deleted.
@bettypager7 This undermines christinanity as a whole though, because if morality is meant to come from God and the Bible is the word of that God how can we say ethical reasoning comes from divine superstition when its obvious that this 'Gy imooghld' is highly immoral in the first place
@moroney1 we will never know til we die. I don't believe the bible is all word of god. As I say its scriptures and rules to scare monger. I believe jesus words as he came to earth to tell us different. we are all equal. I'm frm UK and Christianity is different here. Im not a extremist like some in US or some catholics. I Know god loves every race, sexuality. They don't worship the same god/jesus me and my family do. They judge and use god as a weapon. Christians arent all the same believe me.
@bettypager7 It would e nice if there was an afterlife, but just because something is comforting, doesnt mean it's true. and you are being very double standared with your cherry picking of the bible
@bettypager7 "...I Know god loves every race, sexuality. They don't worship the same god/jesus me and my family do..."
Yes He does. God does not hate people as some preach, for example the Westboro Baptist Church in the US. God loves people and wants EVERYBODY to be saved and go to Heaven, but it's their own choice, they just have to accept Jesus as their Savior and God will save them (He does the rest), Jesus did the work for us (HE DIED AND PAID FOR IT). We can't live up to His standards
@eric5335 Absolutaly x A relationship with god and jesus should be such a simple thing. And I dont know if you ever have been on a alpha course?. What I learned from that course was that our reason to be here on earth is to live like jesus did as much as we can. And do good on the earth and teach his ways as much as we can. As you say it is an impossible task to live up to his standards. I guess I still have loads of questions and that is my journey as a christian and relationship with god. x
@bettypager7 I disagree with you. The Bible says in 2 Timothy 3:16: "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:"
So why should you throw away the Old Testament? The 10 Commandments are in the Old Testament and the death, burrial and ressurection of Jesus Christ is prophesized in the Old Testament.
@eric5335 you dont have to agree. I respect u view. The reason I do not take SOME (I say some) of the bible literally is because its not all "the word of god" these scripts are centuries old. As you say god does not change his mind. But why is it ok to kill in the old testament but is a fundamental sin now if it wasnt "gods word". It worries me christian extremists who judge others for their sexuality, race, etc. jesus taught us equality and taught us different. That was his purpose on earth.
@bettypager7 "...But why is it ok to kill in the old testament but is a fundamental sin now if it wasnt "gods word"..."
A murderer in the Old Testament laws were to be put to death. There were certain things you couldn't do in ancient Israel and if you did you were punished for it. That were the Old Testament laws. But it was LAWS, government laws that is. It also required eye wtinesses and a process, like today we have courts and processes. The law was not to be taken into one's own hand.
@eric5335 I also stress that I dont mean ALL of the bible. Some stories may have been created from inspiration of god....that is true. We will never know till we die....what is the ultimate truth. that is the meaning of our existance. We should live and create gods/jesus good on earth. Thats the meaning of life. I have been taught to not treat my christianity as a chore/burden and live in fear like some do. I see god as my father and I have a close relationship with him. :-)
@bettypager7 And on what basis can you ignore the Old Testament? What motive should you have? If it's because of your view of it and the supposed "contradictions" then it becomes something based on either human reason, thinking or feeling, and how and why should we trust ourselves, when we are sinful and corrupt beings? Why should we put ourselves in authority to choose what we can use from the Bible?
@bettypager7 Remember that God does not change: Malachi 3:6: "For I am the LORD, I change not;"
And God IS the author of both the Old Testament and the New Testament. Jesus also used scripture from the Old Testament and the Apostles did too. The Apostle Paul wrote some of the New Testament (with inspiration of the Holy Spirit) and he used the Old Testament scriptures. You also see God's grace in the Old Testament stories (read the story about Noah and the Flood).
@eric5335 Read the corinthians. I imagine you have. Its all rules and superstition. and I believe are not the word of god. 1. cripples are not aloud to worship at the alter 2. women on their cycle are considered impure 3. you cant wear a fabric made of more than two fibres 4. you must kill anyone who believes in another religeon. list goes on. the old testament has a lust for blood and murder. Now wasnt thou shall not kill a fundamental sin of the 10 commandment. Its not what jesus taught us.
@AlyssaGirl123 Satan is a lyer and will make you doubt and even reject God's Word. Remember in Genesis 3:4?: "You will not surely die," the serpent said to the woman. And when Eve sinned and then Adam also, he blamed God for making the woman.
God is holy holy holy. He is the perfect , we are NOT. God knows everything, we do NOT.
And yes, I too have questions, I think we all have. But seeking God is the answer and we do that by reading His Word, the Bible. :) God bless you
@AlyssaGirl123 Our doubts and questions is all part of the journey with god/jesus. I have relationship with god and always have done. I do question SOME of the bible, which are books written by people over centuries and are mostly opinions to create laws/morals amongst their people at THAT TIME. Dont get me wrong the bible has good/valuable messages, however Some views do not apply to THIS DAY. We will never know god till we meet after this life. Your questioning is your journey as a christian.
@bettypager7 Yes, that's true. I also sometimes question. Yet we have to be thankful for what God has done for us.
But there's a problem with what you are saying, that some of the Bible shouldn't be regarded as important or should even be dismissed. The problem is: How do you determine what applies and what not? You see, we are just humans, and make mistakes, so why should we trust so much in our own interpretations and thoughts rather than the true Word of God?
@AlyssaGirl123 The answers are in the Bible. The Bible is like a love lettter to us. How would you feel if you were the boss and get all these questions asked? The song is a total mockery of God, blaspheming His holy name. Shakira shakes her fist in God's face, accusing Him of being a hypocritical and malign thug Who enjoys watching people suffer and die. Shakira attacks God boldly, shamelessly, and sinfully.
@eric5335 Grow up you fool. The Bible is a crock of shit, you God is an inconsistent filicidal, homophobic, sexist, racist, genicidal aspersive mad man. No thinking person can beleive in such drivel
@moroney1 Why do u describe and attack God if u don't think He even exists? Let me ask you some questions and see if u're up for a debate/challenge. 3 questions: What proof and evidence can u give me that atheism is accurate and correct? How can u prove the materialistic and naturalistic worldview or how would u scientifically prove the human mind and things like love, self-sacrifice and the search for something higher and spiritual?
@eric5335 I dont need to prove atheism, the onus is on the indvidual claiming something exists, extrodinary claims of existenc require extrodinary evidence.I doubt you can disprove the Allah, yet you do not believe in these supernatural claims for the same reason I do not beleive in any, no proof to back them up to begin with. As for your other semantics our frontal lobes are too small, adreniline is too great ,fear of death constant, not to mention he abundance of curiosity we have.
@moroney1 Ok, I will try to give some evidence (not proof) that there is a supernatural being.
PART 1:
Why is there anything rather than nothing? How can nothing create everything? The universe consists of perfectly fine-tuned laws of physics which seem to create an order in the universe, instead of just chaos.
@eric5335 Half of what you gave me are simple arguments in favour of Deism, but do not prove your Christianity, so if you use the cosmoligical argument, it would then be a huge leap of faith to somehow use that to postulate tha Jesus Christ died for our sins. In terms of the cosmological argument, well quantum fluctuations in a zero-point energy system can easily be considered the first cause. That requires no higher power or intelligence and, in accordance with Occam's razor, shows no God
But what would have been before The Big Bang? How could chaos create order? Just small changes in the laws of physics that we know, and there wouldn't be life on earth. So why is there life and a universe (a creation) rather than nothing? Why would an impersonal universe create conditions in a big universe for a planet to have life?
What are our brains and our minds? How are we humans able to think as we do? Just brain chemistry? And is everything else also just pure coincidence? I mean, with all the order that nature seems to have (biomes, food chains, symbiotic and so forth)? Then how can we even trust ourselves and our minds if it's just brain chemistry and chaos?
@moroney1 PART 4: And then how can we even claim to know anything of truth, when we can only rely on our senses? I mean, do you believe there is some truth in this world? Or do you think truth is defined by every individual? Do you then have several truths? I mean, how would you explain the materialistic worldview?
@moroney1 PART 5: Also, if you see a building, you probably immediately think there must have been a creator of that building, right? But do you have proof for that? For example, how can you prove that the Empire State Building had a builder(s)? You would look at the evidence, right? Construction plans, eye witnesses and so forth, right? But what if all eye witnesses are dead and the construction plans are gone?
@moroney1 PART 6: Would you still doubt that someone, a person or a group of persons (creators) built the Empire State Building? I don't think you would? So you would probably claim that there was a creator that built the tower without any evidence. So when the earth and nature and all the stars and so forth seem so complex and just so amazing to us, and we live on this earth and breathe and so forth, how can you claim that it all just came into existence out of nothing?
@eric5335 Secondly, you are making the category error of comparing inanimate objects such as the Empire State Builiding or other artefacts with the non-inanimate which is of the natural , so it is a fallacy to compare two seperate categories. You just cannot use that comparison as we have viewed unatural objects being designed, yet we have never viewed the same thing occuring for natural things. We are not artefacts, so the analogy is extremely flawed and an obvious category error
@moroney1 PART 7: And by the way, did you know that it's intrinsically a part of humans to know God (like the Bible says)? Helen Keller who is born deaf, blind and mute, when she learned to communicate she said that she had always believed in God even before anyone had communicated the idea to her or she was even bale to communicate.
@moroney1 PART 8: Also, if the evolution theory is true and everything seems to only develop and evolve and get better, then how would explain that we humans can only use some of our brain capacity and not all of it? What's with the rest of it? Why can't we use it when it's there? Also, how can you explain that there are 7000 languages on earth and they get fewer every year?
@moroney1 PART 9: Also, all of the languages today have complex grammatical structues and systems. In other words, there are no langauges today who are slowly "evolving" into more complex systems. Do you agree that Jesus existed? That is, the historical person Jesus?
Sunday after the crucifiction of Jesus Christ, His tomb was found empty by a Group of His women followers. Jews never believed in a dying or risen of Messiah from the death before The End of the World.
@eric5335 Ive no clue what you are babbling on about in terms of language, or how that in anyway proves Christianity. Do I think Jesus, existed, there is a good bit of evidence to support it, but there are may figures we know existed yet we do not beleive there claims of divinity or links with it e.g. the Pharohs,Mohammed
@eric5335 There are way too many questions going on here and it will get messy. Can you please ask me one question and let me answer it instead of a whole host of them, or atleast restrain you answers to one comment, otherwise this will quickly become very very messy
@eric5335 In terms of your first question, we have to look at it this way. Either the laws of nature have been suspended, and more importantly, suspended in someones favour, in this case a ressurection, or an error was made, a mis-sighting happened.
Even more importantly, in a case where you yourself are not even there to witness it, when you are relying on accounts by tohers that have been filtered and passed down for over 2000 years, then we really need to look at the plausability
@moroney1 PART 10: So the original Disciples were sceptical but came to believe so much that God had raised Jesus from the dead that they were willing to die for their belief. How can you explain the rise of Early Christianity? And why is the Bible still the most sold book today? And with that, why is Christianity still so important today? Also, why is Christianity the fastest growing (by number of converts) religion today?
@eric5335 Just because people died for their belief does not mean such a belief is true, there are always indivduals who will believe in credulity and die for it, it is a very common thing for us as people to do. How can you explain the rise of Early Taoism, or the worshipping of Isis? People are easily fooled. And why is christianity so popular, because we fear death and seek comfort as well, and christianity can be very very comforting
@eric5335 You cannot use the Bible to explain morality, because if we can see that there are good and bad oarts of the bible, then we are using a seperate criteria, seperate from that archaic group of writings. Morality is a product of our need to live in a social group. Such soical groups cannot exist without creating codes of collaboration and that's exactly what morality does
@moroney1 "...Morality is a product of our need to live in a social group. Such soical groups cannot exist without creating codes of collaboration and that's exactly what morality does"
@eric5335 these questions werent aimed at me I know. yes rape is wrong....I think christianity is one of the religeons today that teaches us right and wrong. Now There a hundred of types of christians though. Some use god purely cos it gives them a power trip. What about the bishops who molestor children? appauling! right? A christian who condemns someone to hell for being gay. Thats a sin. Christianity should be about peace and not to turn people against god cos thats what some do.
@eric5335 these questions werent aimed at me I know. yes rape is wrong....I think christianity is one of the religeons today that teaches us right and wrong. @eric5335 Thats an intresting question. I know your asking moroney 1 this. But there are so many types of christian today. I think as a christian we learn from jesus. So it can hardwired into our souls. Like the death/blind and mute girl. She believed. It also can be a mental thing, cos there are naturally evil people. There are religeons that dont have morals like we do. Muslim is a very opressive religeon onto women, Females are circumcised forced marriage and domestic abuse. also terrorism.
@bettypager7 And Jesus did not come to destroy the law. Matthew 5:17: "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil."
The Old Testament is not to be dismissed or ignored. Remember, during Jesus' time and a while after, there was no New Testament, and the Apostle Paul used the Old Testament Scriptures when he wrote the Epistles.
@bettypager7 And remember that Israel was God's chosen people and the only acceptable nation to God. Israel was to be an example to the rest of the world and through them Jesus the Savior would be born so that all people may get remission of the sins and be saved. God does not care if you're Jew nor Gentile, woman nor man or balck or Chinese, white or whatever, He created us all, loves us all and Jesus died for us all. AMEN
@bettypager7 And I'm not from the US, I live in Denmark. I would describe myself as a Christian fundamentalist (that is, I mean, I believe that the Bible is the perfect word of God) which is a rarity here were I live.
@bettypager7 And when I criticize this song I'm just criticizing her critcizing God (if that makes sense). :)
And as Christians we should be against sin (NOT against the sinner). We should not condemn and judge sinners but the sin and for example sin in general in society. Also, various sins are harmful for both the individual and society (for example adultery = leads to STD's, drunkedness = leads to destroyed families and love of money = which leads to all evil actually, like the Bible says)
@eric5335 I almost forgot its about this song. haha. I have no idea what shakiras actual views are or her religeon. if she has one. I dont know if she is exploring the idea of when a religeous person questions their faith when bad things happen to them or bad things happen in the world, etc. I guess what matters is our faith and our belief. You hit the nail on the head regarding sin. It is everywhere, in our everyday lives.
@bettypager7 "God hates homosexuality." How do you know? Homosexuality is an attraction that one was born with. Does he hate blackness but love the black person? I'm not religious but this is a video. Stop the preaching and flooding of comments!
@Esunmar YOU SHOULD READ THE COMMENTS PROPERLY! Have you read the WRONG persons comments?? cos im NOT preaching. I have am AGAINST biggotry towards homosexuality by CERTAIN christian followers. I am a christian. I believe God loves gays, straights, blacks, oriental, bi, transgender, etc. As long as you believe. A god that HATES, is NOT MY GOD. I believe everyone has a right to love who they want. So please read the comments properly before you get your wires crossed and start accusing! Thankyou.
@bettypager7 But as Christians we should always love people and love the sinner. Because we are all sinners, we are all guilty of breaking God's law, we have a sin nature and not in any way perfect. We are corrupt, hateful and selfish beings. I am in NO way better than anybody else. I am no better than a homosexual, a drunkard or a murderer, ALL sin is evil, so I'm evil too. And that's why we ALL need the righteousness of Jesus who NEVER sinned but died for us so that our sins can be forgiven.
@bettypager7 I just believe what the Bible says, that's all, and if that's what makes you a fundamentalist then I'm glad to be one. And I love people and that's what the Bible teaches. We should just try to be like Jesus and follow what He did, because He is the perfect standard, but none of us can live up to that, so that's why He died for us, so the first thing is to be saved (by simply believing) because He is the way the truth and the life, then we should do our best to try to live holy. :)
@moroney1 I much rather live knowing that my soul goes somewhere. or if any family member dies or my even fricking dog. that they are in a better place. or if an innocent child dies or someone suffering dies. Id like to know they are out of pain and in a good place. We will not know till we die. I believe in science but Im a realist christian...But science can only explain so much. What is the soul. Why do we, LOVE, HURT etc. There must be a higher power/meaning to even exist in the first place.
@eric5335 I cud talk all night about it haha.. I do feel sorry for the athiest. because it must suck living knowing that when you die or if a loved one dies you go to "nothing". People say there is science. Yes. science cant be argued with. but science only goes so far. There is a higher power beyond our human understanding. When you think of the soul, Love, how we are designed. Animals have souls too They feel pain, love and sorrow, like us. The soul is something science can never explain :-)
@moroney1 Like I say Im unsure where eric5335 is from or how old he is. In fact I feel sorry for him. Im 25. Im from the UK. Ive always been christian. However Im strongly against anyone who calls themselves "christian" and then judge/condemn someone for being gay, black, or whatever. It discusts me. I respect homosexuality. and I know god loves everyone who isnt a dickhead. Guest we will never know till we are coffin dodgers.
@bettypager7 "...I respect homosexuality. and I know god loves everyone who isnt a dickhead..."
I tell you, God even loves dickheads. God simply loves all people, that's why Jesus died for them on the cross at Calvary. He died for all people's sins. We are all sinners. I don't respect homosexuality and God does not either. I don't condemn them and God does not either. God hates homosexuality (not the homosexual) but He also hates a lying tongue and adulterers at heart (I'm guilty of that).
@eric5335 I know the lord does forgive us and if we pray for forgiveness and are remorseful.
What I mean by dickheads is....People who kill. murder. rape or abuse people or abuse animals or children. Do you think god will forgive those types of people? What's you views on that?
@bettypager7 "...What I mean by dickheads is....People who kill. murder. rape or abuse people or abuse animals or children. Do you think god will forgive those types of people? What's you views on that?..."
Yes, God can forgive murderers, rapists and abusers too. Have you ever hated someone and really had a hateful feeling towards someone? (I have sometimes). I mean just once. If yes, you are in danger of judgement as Jesus said in Matthew 5:21-26.
@bettypager7 Here is some of it: Matthew 5:21-23: "Ye have heard that it was said of them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:
But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire."
@bettypager7 What it means (as you can also see if you read further through Matthew 5) is that God also looks at your heart and intentions. Even a bad thought is almost like doing it. Even thinking about committing sin is almost like really doing it.
So just because you haven't actually committed adultery for example, it only takes a lustful thought towards someone and you are an adulterer at heart.
@bettypager7 None of us are any better. We may think we are righteous and then compare ourselves to other people. Then we say like: "at least I'm not like THAT person, who has raped people". That leads to self-righteousness, and God hates self-righteousness. But if we constantly compare us to Jesus Christ we will see, that ALL of us are dirty rotten sinners and deserve Hell, but again God loves us so much that He sent His Son Jesus Christ who died for us.
@bettypager7 Christ also died for killers, murderers, rapists and abusers of animals and children. Think about a murderer sitting in jail, completely sad about what he has done and he has grief. Is God willing to forgive and save such a person? YES HE IS, because that person has already taken the first step, which is to realize how little righteousness he has. The next step for that person, would be to simply believe on Jesus and what He did on the cross and he will be saved.
@AlyssaGirl123 The Bible IS the Word of God. If you don't believe that, what else should we trust? Hasn't God reveiled Himself? Who gave you life, a natural environment to live in with food and other things to survive andwho gave you all the things you see and enjoy and even gave you the ability to feel love, happiness but also sadness etc.? And didn't The Word become flesh and flesh dwelt among us? What was it Jesus did on the cross for the whole world?
@AlyssaGirl123 If people reject what Jesus did for THEM on the cross then they will go to Hell. You HAVE to believe Jesus. Matthew 12:30: "He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad." And those who do not choose Jesus are children of the Devil, NOT because God wants to but because THEY choose to. You can't reject God but also reject Satan. John 8:44: "You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desire."
@mistahknani We have free will. So we can reject God's plan of Salvation which shows His love for us. We are not perfect and can't really do much good without God, so why should we reject God when He is the perfect one?
And btw, the Bible is the Word of God, but there are all kinds of interpretations out there. Just stick to the literal words of the Bible. Read it and seek God and His truth. What else should we trust? Our own knowledge or God's Word?
@herman1106 Part 2: Shakira puts God on trial, judging His eternal omnipotence and omniscience. It is the height of sinful arrogance for any human being, who has only been alive on this earth for less than 100-years, to condemn the awesome and holy God of this universe.
@herman1106 Part 3: We are all sinners and are not perfect.
Romans 3:23: "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;".
We have broken God's law. Really anyone has at some point lied, and many have stolen something, I know I have. We need to humble ourselves and admit that we are sinners.
God is so merciful that he gave His only begotten Son Jesus Christ so that we, through faith in Him, can be forgiven and go to Heaven.
@herman1106 Part 4: John 3:16: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
That's God's love. He loves sinners like Shakira, you and me and all of us. Jesus died on the cross for OUR sins. Now, have you accepted Christ as your Lord and Savior? If you sincerely believe with your heart that Jesus Christ died for YOU, you will receive salvation from God.
@eric5335 1) how can u claim that shakira is a sinner, just cause of this song ? it's so absurd, you dont know how much she is prayed by poor people who get help through shakira 2) im an agnostic, so im not interested in stories u told xD
@herman1106 We are ALL sinners. The Bible says that. Have you ever told a lie? Have you ever stolen something, regardless of the value of that which you have stolen? We have a sinful nature, human nature is sinful and not perfect. So you are an agnostic? So you believe there is a possibilty that God exists and yet there is a possibility that God doesn't exist? Did I get that right? Is that what you believe? Then either one of us is right, right? I mean either one statement must somehow be true?
@herman1106 Part 5: Acts 16:30-31: "And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house."
If you die without Christ you will go to Hell.
Revelation 20:15: "And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."
I hope you will think about it. God loves you and wants you to come to Him.
This song has one of the most amazing intros ive ever heard, i was blown away by it. But as soon as it goes past the 24 second mark it goes downhill hard :(
the fact that paople die is not something what makes God proud or brings Him shy. life on erth isn`t inportant. If God wants somewone next to him, in He`s Kingdom, than that will happen.
Every single human being on this earth should have a listen to this song. And then, whether they like it or not, they cant deny she's a freakin smart, poetic and reallyreally talented woman! I LOVE HER <3
Fixation means: It is the state in which an individual becomes obsessed with an attachment to another person, being or object
strong attachment to a person or thing, especially such an attachment formed in childhood or infancy and manifested in immature or neurotic behavior that persists throughout life'
@bluemusicpeace Oral Fixation means Oral Craving and Oral Stage is the first sexual and social stage of an infant's development; the mouth is the focus of the libido and satisfaction comes from suckling and chewing and biting
My interpretation of this song is that there's actually an implicit Christian answer provided to the questions that she raises. Just go through the rhetorical questions posed to God and see what happens when you look at them in light of the Christian belief that in Jesus, God became man and (among other things) experienced a full human life including all of its miseries and pains. I'm not sure if this was her purpose, but the subtext seems to be there.
haha shakira is religious, and this is her way of speaking with god. Its a question to him = how do you do? (because we people dont understand everything about life?)
luv this song <3

I've been reading this whole discussion about God and Jesus and the Bible and so on... (yeah, I've got too much time :P) I do not believe in the Bible, but I believe in the God and the Goddess. Wicca way, to make it clear. They are always there, and they do not judge anyone, or anything. They love everyone like he/she is, and give anyone the chance to make their own decisions. If you make a mistake, you get a second chance. When you die, knowing that you've been wrong, you will go to heaven.

herman1106 4 months ago
@herman1106 You are a sinner because you have broken God's holy Commandments, that's why. God is the judge and He knows everything.
The Bible is God's word and tells you that we either go to Hell or to Heaven. It's our choice, we have free will. We can reject God's plan of salvation or receive His salvation. So why wait till we die, when the truth and the answers are in the Bible? :)
eric5335 4 months ago

One of my faves and never had the nerve to comment. ;)
xXxAnonymousOnexXx1 4 months ago
@xXxAnonymousOnexXx1 Yes, but the answers are in the Bible, that's it. That's where she can find her answers to all of her questions about God.
"It's a song questioning if God really feels superior to us or maybe feels the same things that we all do."
God IS superior to us, absolutely! He created us and everything, is all-knowing and all-powerful. Yet God sent His Son Jesus Christ who suffered on the cross for us and that if we believe on Him we may have everlasting life. That is love!

WHITERAVENGURL44 4 months ago 2
@eric5335 it's not a satanic song at all, she doesn't ignore God's exist, she asks questions cleverly, and people who are slaves of the god find the questions absurd, why dont you try to reply questions in ur perspective
herman1106 4 months ago
@herman1106 Part 1: Listen to and read the lyrics: "What language do you speak?", "Are you some kind of freak?" and "But if I forgive yours, will you forgive mine?". I mean, who does she think God is? God made us and gave her and all of us the earth to live on and so much more. And instead of being grateful Shakira attacks and blames God for man's lust and greed that causes starvation and earthly woe. It's not God's fault that mankind is evil and rebellious!
eric5335 4 months ago
@eric5335 then who's fault is it that "man"/people have lust and greed?... If it's the devil... who's fault is it for making the devil?
I believe in God, but not so much as what the bible is interpreted to in today's modern society, nor the past society's.

So it is not God's fault.
eric5335 4 months ago
@mistahknani ADAM AND EVE AND THE FALL: You know that Adam and Eve lived in a perfect world with God before the fall. God gave them everything but they should not eat of The Forbidden Fruit (from The Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil). Then came the Devil and tempted Eve and told her lies like "do you really believe what God said"? and so on. Eve sinned and eventually Adam did too. That's when death and sin entered the world.
eric5335 4 months ago
@mistahknani So what does this all mean? It means that we live in a fallen world where we humans wanted to have our own, we wanted to to have our own will and our own little world. We also have free will and had it from the beginning. We can either choose God or not. Hell is a place that was originally made for the Devil and the demons. The Devil knows that, but he can't attack God so he instead attacks God's darlings, us humans.
eric5335 4 months ago
@mistahknani God loves us and absolutely wants us to come to Him and go to Heaven. The Devil hates us and wants us to follow him and go to Hell so he and the demons can be in company.
So we are imperfect sinful beings and the Devil will tell us all kinds of lies so that we sin even more and reject God and even make us believe that we can be our own gods.
Yet still look at this world. God still gave us life, food, beautiful nature and we still experience love and happiness.
eric5335 4 months ago
@eric5335 Part 1This fight is so stupid..i'm catholic i listen to this song so many times. Though even i believe in god and i know he loves us and i have read the bible. God is like a father he loves us all and i'm sure he would be very ashamed what your doing. Even if people don't believe in him he will still love them no? Yes he gave us life. Though he never gave us answers this song is asking questions. Now don't go saying this song is satanic because you don't like what it means.
AlyssaGirl123 4 months ago
@AlyssaGirl123 Part 2 We all have questions. Now i don't believe the bible gives us answers to know about god! The bible we read is probably isn't the real copy they out cretin scriptures. Since god is like a father do not deny you have never asked questions to your on father!! Then whats so wrong asking God questions. We do not know what God life is like!! So tell me whats Gods life like since your so holy. Tell me go ahead. Do you know if he cry's? Do you know if he feels out pain? Do you?
AlyssaGirl123 4 months ago
@AlyssaGirl123 You don't know what hes like and neither do I. So, stop this Godly acting and stop insulting these people what they believe in. Stop acting your so holy because your not. Insulting these people and this artist is only making you sin you think you know that? Now if you didn't like the song don't call something satanic that you don't like. So just get out of here and spread what you think God is like to some people who care. Hey i don't even know how God is. Though i can still ask.
AlyssaGirl123 4 months ago

Im christian But Theres a minority of christians (particulary in US) it frightens me that they use thousand year old scriptures to opress their views onto people and judge people (judging people in gods name is a sin) especially When SOME (I stress SOME..NOT ALL) of the bible doesnt apply to todays society.
bettypager7 4 months ago
@bettypager7 And remember this scripture:

@bettypager7 Try not to conform too much to what the world tells you. Listen to what God says :)

Godbless you too:)
bettypager7 3 months ago
@bettypager7 IS it not obvious the Bible could not have been written by a loving God. IT is full of God ounishing individuals in acts of rage and vengence. It is nothing more than a primitive collection of bronze age books that should be discarded as violent myth
moroney1 2 months ago
@moroney1 I agree. This is comin from a christian. People who take the WHOLE bible seriously, especially the old testament are deluded. It is a collection of books/rules written centuries ago. In the old test rules such as: cripples are banned from worship, you cant wear fabrics made from 2 types of yarn, you cant cut your hair/beard.etc. are so wrong. It says kill all who worship other gods, But then it says thou shalt not kill. its contradicting itself. they arent relevent and shud b deleted.
bettypager7 2 months ago
@bettypager7 This undermines christinanity as a whole though, because if morality is meant to come from God and the Bible is the word of that God how can we say ethical reasoning comes from divine superstition when its obvious that this 'Gy imooghld' is highly immoral in the first place
moroney1 2 months ago
@moroney1 we will never know til we die. I don't believe the bible is all word of god. As I say its scriptures and rules to scare monger. I believe jesus words as he came to earth to tell us different. we are all equal. I'm frm UK and Christianity is different here. Im not a extremist like some in US or some catholics. I Know god loves every race, sexuality. They don't worship the same god/jesus me and my family do. They judge and use god as a weapon. Christians arent all the same believe me.
bettypager7 2 months ago
@bettypager7 It would e nice if there was an afterlife, but just because something is comforting, doesnt mean it's true. and you are being very double standared with your cherry picking of the bible
moroney1 2 months ago
@bettypager7 "...I Know god loves every race, sexuality. They don't worship the same god/jesus me and my family do..."
Yes He does. God does not hate people as some preach, for example the Westboro Baptist Church in the US. God loves people and wants EVERYBODY to be saved and go to Heaven, but it's their own choice, they just have to accept Jesus as their Savior and God will save them (He does the rest), Jesus did the work for us (HE DIED AND PAID FOR IT). We can't live up to His standards
eric5335 2 months ago
@eric5335 Absolutaly x A relationship with god and jesus should be such a simple thing. And I dont know if you ever have been on a alpha course?. What I learned from that course was that our reason to be here on earth is to live like jesus did as much as we can. And do good on the earth and teach his ways as much as we can. As you say it is an impossible task to live up to his standards. I guess I still have loads of questions and that is my journey as a christian and relationship with god. x
bettypager7 2 months ago
@bettypager7 I disagree with you. The Bible says in 2 Timothy 3:16: "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:"
So why should you throw away the Old Testament? The 10 Commandments are in the Old Testament and the death, burrial and ressurection of Jesus Christ is prophesized in the Old Testament.
eric5335 2 months ago
@eric5335 you dont have to agree. I respect u view. The reason I do not take SOME (I say some) of the bible literally is because its not all "the word of god" these scripts are centuries old. As you say god does not change his mind. But why is it ok to kill in the old testament but is a fundamental sin now if it wasnt "gods word". It worries me christian extremists who judge others for their sexuality, race, etc. jesus taught us equality and taught us different. That was his purpose on earth.
bettypager7 2 months ago
@bettypager7 "...But why is it ok to kill in the old testament but is a fundamental sin now if it wasnt "gods word"..."
A murderer in the Old Testament laws were to be put to death. There were certain things you couldn't do in ancient Israel and if you did you were punished for it. That were the Old Testament laws. But it was LAWS, government laws that is. It also required eye wtinesses and a process, like today we have courts and processes. The law was not to be taken into one's own hand.
eric5335 2 months ago
@eric5335 I also stress that I dont mean ALL of the bible. Some stories may have been created from inspiration of god....that is true. We will never know till we die....what is the ultimate truth. that is the meaning of our existance. We should live and create gods/jesus good on earth. Thats the meaning of life. I have been taught to not treat my christianity as a chore/burden and live in fear like some do. I see god as my father and I have a close relationship with him. :-)
bettypager7 2 months ago
@bettypager7 And on what basis can you ignore the Old Testament? What motive should you have? If it's because of your view of it and the supposed "contradictions" then it becomes something based on either human reason, thinking or feeling, and how and why should we trust ourselves, when we are sinful and corrupt beings? Why should we put ourselves in authority to choose what we can use from the Bible?
eric5335 2 months ago
@bettypager7 Remember that God does not change: Malachi 3:6: "For I am the LORD, I change not;"
And God IS the author of both the Old Testament and the New Testament. Jesus also used scripture from the Old Testament and the Apostles did too. The Apostle Paul wrote some of the New Testament (with inspiration of the Holy Spirit) and he used the Old Testament scriptures. You also see God's grace in the Old Testament stories (read the story about Noah and the Flood).
eric5335 2 months ago
@bettypager7 But it's true that not all of the Old Testament applies to today. Take circumcision for example.
eric5335 2 months ago
@eric5335 Read the corinthians. I imagine you have. Its all rules and superstition. and I believe are not the word of god. 1. cripples are not aloud to worship at the alter 2. women on their cycle are considered impure 3. you cant wear a fabric made of more than two fibres 4. you must kill anyone who believes in another religeon. list goes on. the old testament has a lust for blood and murder. Now wasnt thou shall not kill a fundamental sin of the 10 commandment. Its not what jesus taught us.
bettypager7 2 months ago
@AlyssaGirl123 Satan is a lyer and will make you doubt and even reject God's Word. Remember in Genesis 3:4?: "You will not surely die," the serpent said to the woman. And when Eve sinned and then Adam also, he blamed God for making the woman.
God is holy holy holy. He is the perfect , we are NOT. God knows everything, we do NOT.
And yes, I too have questions, I think we all have. But seeking God is the answer and we do that by reading His Word, the Bible. :) God bless you
eric5335 4 months ago
@AlyssaGirl123 Our doubts and questions is all part of the journey with god/jesus. I have relationship with god and always have done. I do question SOME of the bible, which are books written by people over centuries and are mostly opinions to create laws/morals amongst their people at THAT TIME. Dont get me wrong the bible has good/valuable messages, however Some views do not apply to THIS DAY. We will never know god till we meet after this life. Your questioning is your journey as a christian.
bettypager7 4 months ago
@bettypager7 Yes, that's true. I also sometimes question. Yet we have to be thankful for what God has done for us.
But there's a problem with what you are saying, that some of the Bible shouldn't be regarded as important or should even be dismissed. The problem is: How do you determine what applies and what not? You see, we are just humans, and make mistakes, so why should we trust so much in our own interpretations and thoughts rather than the true Word of God?
eric5335 4 months ago
@AlyssaGirl123 The answers are in the Bible. The Bible is like a love lettter to us. How would you feel if you were the boss and get all these questions asked? The song is a total mockery of God, blaspheming His holy name. Shakira shakes her fist in God's face, accusing Him of being a hypocritical and malign thug Who enjoys watching people suffer and die. Shakira attacks God boldly, shamelessly, and sinfully.
eric5335 4 months ago
@eric5335 Grow up you fool. The Bible is a crock of shit, you God is an inconsistent filicidal, homophobic, sexist, racist, genicidal aspersive mad man. No thinking person can beleive in such drivel
moroney1 2 months ago
@moroney1 Why do u describe and attack God if u don't think He even exists? Let me ask you some questions and see if u're up for a debate/challenge. 3 questions: What proof and evidence can u give me that atheism is accurate and correct? How can u prove the materialistic and naturalistic worldview or how would u scientifically prove the human mind and things like love, self-sacrifice and the search for something higher and spiritual?
eric5335 2 months ago
@eric5335 I dont need to prove atheism, the onus is on the indvidual claiming something exists, extrodinary claims of existenc require extrodinary evidence.I doubt you can disprove the Allah, yet you do not believe in these supernatural claims for the same reason I do not beleive in any, no proof to back them up to begin with. As for your other semantics our frontal lobes are too small, adreniline is too great ,fear of death constant, not to mention he abundance of curiosity we have.
moroney1 2 months ago
@moroney1 Ok, I will try to give some evidence (not proof) that there is a supernatural being.
PART 1:
Why is there anything rather than nothing? How can nothing create everything? The universe consists of perfectly fine-tuned laws of physics which seem to create an order in the universe, instead of just chaos.
eric5335 2 months ago
This has been flagged as spam show
@eric5335 Half of what you gave me are simple arguments in favour of Deism, but do not prove your Christianity, so if you use the cosmoligical argument, it would then be a huge leap of faith to somehow use that to postulate tha Jesus Christ died for our sins. In terms of the cosmological argument, well quantum fluctuations in a zero-point energy system can easily be considered the first cause. That requires no higher power or intelligence and, in accordance with Occam's razor, shows no God
moroney1 2 months ago
@moroney1 PART 2:
But what would have been before The Big Bang? How could chaos create order? Just small changes in the laws of physics that we know, and there wouldn't be life on earth. So why is there life and a universe (a creation) rather than nothing? Why would an impersonal universe create conditions in a big universe for a planet to have life?
eric5335 2 months ago
@moroney1 PART 3:

I mean, how would you explain the materialistic worldview?
eric5335 2 months ago
@moroney1 PART 5: Also, if you see a building, you probably immediately think there must have been a creator of that building, right? But do you have proof for that? For example, how can you prove that the Empire State Building had a builder(s)? You would look at the evidence, right? Construction plans, eye witnesses and so forth, right? But what if all eye witnesses are dead and the construction plans are gone?
eric5335 2 months ago
@moroney1 PART 6: Would you still doubt that someone, a person or a group of persons (creators) built the Empire State Building? I don't think you would? So you would probably claim that there was a creator that built the tower without any evidence. So when the earth and nature and all the stars and so forth seem so complex and just so amazing to us, and we live on this earth and breathe and so forth, how can you claim that it all just came into existence out of nothing?
eric5335 2 months ago
@eric5335 Secondly, you are making the category error of comparing inanimate objects such as the Empire State Builiding or other artefacts with the non-inanimate which is of the natural , so it is a fallacy to compare two seperate categories. You just cannot use that comparison as we have viewed unatural objects being designed, yet we have never viewed the same thing occuring for natural things. We are not artefacts, so the analogy is extremely flawed and an obvious category error
moroney1 2 months ago
@moroney1 PART 7: And by the way, did you know that it's intrinsically a part of humans to know God (like the Bible says)? Helen Keller who is born deaf, blind and mute, when she learned to communicate she said that she had always believed in God even before anyone had communicated the idea to her or she was even bale to communicate.
eric5335 2 months ago
@moroney1 PART 8: Also, if the evolution theory is true and everything seems to only develop and evolve and get better, then how would explain that we humans can only use some of our brain capacity and not all of it? What's with the rest of it? Why can't we use it when it's there? Also, how can you explain that there are 7000 languages on earth and they get fewer every year?
eric5335 2 months ago
@moroney1 PART 9: Also, all of the languages today have complex grammatical structues and systems. In other words, there are no langauges today who are slowly "evolving" into more complex systems. Do you agree that Jesus existed? That is, the historical person Jesus?
Sunday after the crucifiction of Jesus Christ, His tomb was found empty by a Group of His women followers. Jews never believed in a dying or risen of Messiah from the death before The End of the World.
eric5335 2 months ago
@eric5335 Ive no clue what you are babbling on about in terms of language, or how that in anyway proves Christianity. Do I think Jesus, existed, there is a good bit of evidence to support it, but there are may figures we know existed yet we do not beleive there claims of divinity or links with it e.g. the Pharohs,Mohammed
moroney1 2 months ago
@moroney1 "...but there are may figures we know existed yet we do not beleive there claims of divinity or links with it e.g. the Pharohs,Mohammed"
Yet, did these claim to actually be God? And did they rose again from the dead, if so, how many eye witness accounts are there?
eric5335 2 months ago
@eric5335 There are way too many questions going on here and it will get messy. Can you please ask me one question and let me answer it instead of a whole host of them, or atleast restrain you answers to one comment, otherwise this will quickly become very very messy
moroney1 2 months ago
@eric5335 In terms of your first question, we have to look at it this way. Either the laws of nature have been suspended, and more importantly, suspended in someones favour, in this case a ressurection, or an error was made, a mis-sighting happened.
Even more importantly, in a case where you yourself are not even there to witness it, when you are relying on accounts by tohers that have been filtered and passed down for over 2000 years, then we really need to look at the plausability
moroney1 2 months ago
@moroney1 PART 10: So the original Disciples were sceptical but came to believe so much that God had raised Jesus from the dead that they were willing to die for their belief. How can you explain the rise of Early Christianity? And why is the Bible still the most sold book today? And with that, why is Christianity still so important today? Also, why is Christianity the fastest growing (by number of converts) religion today?
eric5335 2 months ago
@eric5335 Just because people died for their belief does not mean such a belief is true, there are always indivduals who will believe in credulity and die for it, it is a very common thing for us as people to do. How can you explain the rise of Early Taoism, or the worshipping of Isis? People are easily fooled. And why is christianity so popular, because we fear death and seek comfort as well, and christianity can be very very comforting
moroney1 2 months ago
@moroney1 PART 11: Then also, I could ask you. Where does morality come from? How would you explain it and is there good and evil, right and wrong?
eric5335 2 months ago
@eric5335 You cannot use the Bible to explain morality, because if we can see that there are good and bad oarts of the bible, then we are using a seperate criteria, seperate from that archaic group of writings. Morality is a product of our need to live in a social group. Such soical groups cannot exist without creating codes of collaboration and that's exactly what morality does
moroney1 2 months ago
@moroney1 "...Morality is a product of our need to live in a social group. Such soical groups cannot exist without creating codes of collaboration and that's exactly what morality does"
Let me ask you something. Is rape always wrong?
eric5335 2 months ago
@eric5335 these questions werent aimed at me I know. yes rape is wrong....I think christianity is one of the religeons today that teaches us right and wrong. Now There a hundred of types of christians though. Some use god purely cos it gives them a power trip. What about the bishops who molestor children? appauling! right? A christian who condemns someone to hell for being gay. Thats a sin. Christianity should be about peace and not to turn people against god cos thats what some do.

Muslim is a very opressive religeon onto women, Females are circumcised forced marriage and domestic abuse. also terrorism.
bettypager7 2 months ago
@bettypager7 And Jesus did not come to destroy the law. Matthew 5:17: "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil."
The Old Testament is not to be dismissed or ignored. Remember, during Jesus' time and a while after, there was no New Testament, and the Apostle Paul used the Old Testament Scriptures when he wrote the Epistles.
eric5335 2 months ago
@bettypager7 And remember that Israel was God's chosen people and the only acceptable nation to God. Israel was to be an example to the rest of the world and through them Jesus the Savior would be born so that all people may get remission of the sins and be saved. God does not care if you're Jew nor Gentile, woman nor man or balck or Chinese, white or whatever, He created us all, loves us all and Jesus died for us all. AMEN
eric5335 2 months ago
@bettypager7 And I'm not from the US, I live in Denmark. I would describe myself as a Christian fundamentalist (that is, I mean, I believe that the Bible is the perfect word of God) which is a rarity here were I live.
eric5335 2 months ago
@bettypager7 And when I criticize this song I'm just criticizing her critcizing God (if that makes sense). :)
And as Christians we should be against sin (NOT against the sinner). We should not condemn and judge sinners but the sin and for example sin in general in society. Also, various sins are harmful for both the individual and society (for example adultery = leads to STD's, drunkedness = leads to destroyed families and love of money = which leads to all evil actually, like the Bible says)
eric5335 2 months ago

Esunmar 1 month ago
@Esunmar YOU SHOULD READ THE COMMENTS PROPERLY! Have you read the WRONG persons comments?? cos im NOT preaching. I have am AGAINST biggotry towards homosexuality by CERTAIN christian followers. I am a christian. I believe God loves gays, straights, blacks, oriental, bi, transgender, etc. As long as you believe. A god that HATES, is NOT MY GOD. I believe everyone has a right to love who they want. So please read the comments properly before you get your wires crossed and start accusing! Thankyou.
bettypager7 1 month ago
@bettypager7 But as Christians we should always love people and love the sinner. Because we are all sinners, we are all guilty of breaking God's law, we have a sin nature and not in any way perfect. We are corrupt, hateful and selfish beings. I am in NO way better than anybody else. I am no better than a homosexual, a drunkard or a murderer, ALL sin is evil, so I'm evil too. And that's why we ALL need the righteousness of Jesus who NEVER sinned but died for us so that our sins can be forgiven.
eric5335 2 months ago
@eric5335 Amen x
bettypager7 2 months ago
@bettypager7 I just believe what the Bible says, that's all, and if that's what makes you a fundamentalist then I'm glad to be one. And I love people and that's what the Bible teaches. We should just try to be like Jesus and follow what He did, because He is the perfect standard, but none of us can live up to that, so that's why He died for us, so the first thing is to be saved (by simply believing) because He is the way the truth and the life, then we should do our best to try to live holy. :)
eric5335 2 months ago
@moroney1 I much rather live knowing that my soul goes somewhere. or if any family member dies or my even fricking dog. that they are in a better place. or if an innocent child dies or someone suffering dies. Id like to know they are out of pain and in a good place. We will not know till we die. I believe in science but Im a realist christian...But science can only explain so much. What is the soul. Why do we, LOVE, HURT etc. There must be a higher power/meaning to even exist in the first place.
bettypager7 2 months ago
@eric5335 I cud talk all night about it haha.. I do feel sorry for the athiest. because it must suck living knowing that when you die or if a loved one dies you go to "nothing". People say there is science. Yes. science cant be argued with. but science only goes so far. There is a higher power beyond our human understanding. When you think of the soul, Love, how we are designed. Animals have souls too They feel pain, love and sorrow, like us. The soul is something science can never explain :-)
bettypager7 2 months ago
@moroney1 In other words: Why do we humans even think there's something more than just what we see?
eric5335 2 months ago
@moroney1 Like I say Im unsure where eric5335 is from or how old he is. In fact I feel sorry for him. Im 25. Im from the UK. Ive always been christian. However Im strongly against anyone who calls themselves "christian" and then judge/condemn someone for being gay, black, or whatever. It discusts me. I respect homosexuality. and I know god loves everyone who isnt a dickhead. Guest we will never know till we are coffin dodgers.
bettypager7 2 months ago
@bettypager7 "...I respect homosexuality. and I know god loves everyone who isnt a dickhead..."
I tell you, God even loves dickheads. God simply loves all people, that's why Jesus died for them on the cross at Calvary. He died for all people's sins. We are all sinners. I don't respect homosexuality and God does not either. I don't condemn them and God does not either. God hates homosexuality (not the homosexual) but He also hates a lying tongue and adulterers at heart (I'm guilty of that).
eric5335 2 months ago

If yes, you are in danger of judgement as Jesus said in Matthew 5:21-26.
eric5335 2 months ago
@bettypager7 Here is some of it: Matthew 5:21-23: "Ye have heard that it was said of them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:
But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire."
eric5335 2 months ago
@bettypager7 What it means (as you can also see if you read further through Matthew 5) is that God also looks at your heart and intentions. Even a bad thought is almost like doing it. Even thinking about committing sin is almost like really doing it.
So just because you haven't actually committed adultery for example, it only takes a lustful thought towards someone and you are an adulterer at heart.
eric5335 2 months ago
@bettypager7 None of us are any better. We may think we are righteous and then compare ourselves to other people. Then we say like: "at least I'm not like THAT person, who has raped people". That leads to self-righteousness, and God hates self-righteousness. But if we constantly compare us to Jesus Christ we will see, that ALL of us are dirty rotten sinners and deserve Hell, but again God loves us so much that He sent His Son Jesus Christ who died for us.
eric5335 2 months ago
@bettypager7 Christ also died for killers, murderers, rapists and abusers of animals and children. Think about a murderer sitting in jail, completely sad about what he has done and he has grief. Is God willing to forgive and save such a person? YES HE IS, because that person has already taken the first step, which is to realize how little righteousness he has. The next step for that person, would be to simply believe on Jesus and what He did on the cross and he will be saved.
eric5335 2 months ago
@bettypager7 Isn't it amazing how much God the Almighty loves us all? :)

What was it Jesus did on the cross for the whole world?
eric5335 4 months ago

@eric5335 1) how can u claim that shakira is a sinner, just cause of this song ? it's so absurd, you dont know how much she is prayed by poor people who get help through shakira 2) im an agnostic, so im not interested in stories u told xD
herman1106 4 months ago

@rocktigerz123
