Kishikawa is good but not THAT good: he knows PERFECTLY well Jun's type of game, they're friends and they play/train together all the time. On Jun's bad days, Seiya can easily win. But when he's in front of a Zhang Jike or a Ma Long type of beast, he can't hold on for long unfortunately...
Also, one of his weak point is: he doesn't have much of consistency. One day he plays at 100% and the day after at 75%..
i can really see seiya kishikawa being a very hard obstacle for the chinese to overcome in the future, seiya will be in the top ten soon, the japanese youngsters have so much potential
I love Seiya Kishikawa so much. He is cute. He is not physically sufficient but moves so much. Now he is getting a strong forehand along with a big title. I hope he will get in the best ten ranking in the near futere. Big cheer for him.
the english commentator is entertaining and all, but is it just me or doesn't it seem like he doesn't know that much about table tennis? He only comment how good the rallies are, their rank, no analysis or why they lost the point etc, nothing more nothing less... whatever, Kishikawa is frickin awesome!
@BlueSkiiez ya, and he seems to do a lot of commentating too. you'd think that he'd catch on a little after a while. Either not very bright, or just too lazy.
Kishikawa's game reminds me of Oh Sang Eun when he is in form. Even though Oh is taller and Kishi is more flexible. Love his style, I'm happy for him that he won and proved the critics wrong.
i think the commentator is a kishikawa fan

世界のトップ10に入るバックハンドで定評だった岸川選手、この3年間で、フォアハンドの技術でも世界トップクラスになったと思います。

@BlueSkiiez I believe he was actually a table tennis player. I guess that's just his commentating style...

Strange these two have only competed twice before, but they've practiced together many times. Seiya seems to have Jun's game down cold.

So why on earth did Ma Lin lose to Jun Mitzutani... and Ma Lin right now is playing so well in china superleague

consistency has made up kishikawa's samosonov style footwork lol but with his height haha
jap players really need more power and dominating styles in order to rise to the top
thanks for sharing.
