  • Thanks for showing this, Chris. I have been told by some tool chest afficianados that they actually "work" out of their chests. You show what really happens, they pull out what they need and leave them out. That's why I'm anti-toolchest. I own my shop & have a lock on the door so I don't need to lock them in a box.

  • @deezynar It makes sense for Chris though. He's traveling with his tools all the time so I'm sure he goes through this a lot.

  • Now THATS how you tool gloat. Love your writing. Pretty new to all of this but voraciously learning wherever I can and always enjoy your pieces. I subscribed to popular woodworking pretty much the second you stepped down though. Best of luck pursuing your dream of becoming a hand plane or whatever.

  • You do this often do you? Setting your tools out just to feel them and see them on the bench, only to put them away without so much as a single tenon cut? You said you did in your book. And now, here it is, caught on video. There's no denying it now. All the world now knows what you do in your basement. Shame on you! From tool hoarder to tool fondler. :-)
