This song is about Kates Grandad who was a coal miner and her Grandmother. Its about Grandad dying from coal dust on his lungs and his wife looking after him while he was dying.

It is tradgic and also a love song. When you know Kate is telling the story of how her grandad died of emphacema "spelling mistake sorry" and her Grandma was looking after him until he died you can see the real strength of this song. It is beautifully written and very passionate.

I was there too, and I'll always remember the spine-tingling moment when the brass band (all but invisible until that point) came in. Almost certainly the most memorable live performance I've ever seen.
