  • I think he was about ready to have a wreck, somewheres...

  • It looks like this horse is very well cared for, but I wish the man working the reins had given the horse some slack. Clearly its irritated, and it can't lean its neck into the load, putting more pressure on the legs. See how it holds its neck inverted, and how stretched out his mouth is?

  • @CaliforniaBlonde000

Perhaps the people around are provoking more fear in the horse than his hndler and... these type of horses needs be very cared .... both mental and body.

  • He kind of looks like he's limping... Maybe I'm imagining things.

  • @Ishtiama I think I see what you mean, and I think it's the exaggerated dipping of the haunch as the horse pulls. While pulling a load or really doing any sort of work, it's good when the horse pulls its butt under it a bit and really reaches with the hind legs.

  • It's clearly a Noriker...

  • that hors looks like its in pain ...

  • i dont like this video.

  • I just did a Google image search of "Noriker" and none of the images that came up looked anything like the horse in this video. :/ And I'm not talking about the coloring. The horse in this video looks like a draft crossbred with something smaller like an Appy. Doesn't look like a heavy draft to me. My boyfriend has a heavy Belgian. Heavy drafts are built much different.

Also, why is the horse cantering? Heavy drafts are trained to pull slowly. At least in the US they are... :/

  • @LittleCloud829 Oh my good! It is a Noriker! I'm from Denmark (it's in the north of Austria) and I know Noriker, they have many different colors. They can also be brown without any pattern. But for the most they want to breed horses with special spotting pattern. Knabstruppers are horses of Denmark, which are looking like Noriker horses, too but are much smaler then the draft horses you know for example like belgians, but they are strong like every other draft horse can be.

  • the appalose horse is not a horse for pulling..they have a good endurance, but not for pulling..they are better for riding on long roads..for ex. it was a good horse on rodeo..cuz is fast, and nimble..but if u want a horse to pull, buy a shire horse

  • @Karoline1995ify Oh my god... it's a bloody Draft horse for gods sake! Can't you read?!?! A 'Noriker' The Noriker horse, also historically known as the Pinzgauer horse, is a moderately heavy Austrian draught horse breed.

    It is NOT an Appy.

  • @Karoline1995ify first thats not an appy thats a Noriker its a 'small' or 'moderate' draft horse from Austria they aren't as big as the Belgian/Belgium, Frisian, or Clydesdale horses but they are bigger than the regular breeds of say the appy, quarter, Arabian, and thoroughbred horse. second appy's were originally used in the rodeo because they were hearty and had a 'crazy' streak.

  • What a beautiful horse.

  • The poor Horse...

  • Wow. Amazing breed. Thanks for sharing! :)

  • nice horse

  • Looks like the reigns are getting pulled a little too tight. His mouth is all the way back to his jaw.

  • That horse can come visit my pasture any time. ;)

  • I have seen noriker refered to in books before...never seen one. Are they always spotted? Very nice looking horse, clean lines and big.

  • This noriker is Beautiful :D hehe

  • it has the coat of a app and a heart of a draft!

  • OMIGOSH everyone! She has said like 10 times it is a NORIKER NOT AN APPEY!!!!!!!!

  • OMG BEAUTIFUL HORSE

  • Appaloosa is a breed not a color. There can be solid appaloosas. Everybody thinks they know everything on here. Beautiful horse what ever it is.

  • @alriverspots how comes i have a pure bred noriker appaloosa then ?

  • she looks light for a draft horse

    & she certainly is lively

  • How much weight did he pull?

  • it was gunna bolt, needs a bit more training, bit excited. Lovely animal though, great vid, thanks for sharing :)

  • Please Suscribe and ILL suscribe to you I RIDE HORSES AND HAVE VIDEOS ON THEM THANKS

  • I have seen Morgan Horses this size. .."the Justin Morgan horse". Standing just over 14 hands tall, Justin Morgan's exploits gained him fame because he was not as big as colonial workhorses nor as tall and long-legged as racehorses, yet he consistently outperformed both. There was the time he pulled a log no draft horse could budge. Great all around horse.

  • @LaMoLoud

that freaking horse is a draft. the defenition of a coldblood horse is large in stature and big boned and heavy in neck muscle. :05

That looks like he's a pretty huge guy. He's thickly built and his head and neck are larger and less "proportionate" than a warmblood or a hotblood. get ur facts right. and "appaloosa" can be a color too. you don't label horses as "The black stallion"... that's a gender and a color. dimwit. appaloosa QUARTER HORSES and leopard spots are a color.

  • So this is a competition in Hungary? Nice Noriker! Our neighbour, my teacher for coach riding, has two of them as pull horses. Noriker are typical european (Austrian) workhorses for the daily village and farming life. Pull a waggon, ploughing, riding, etc.

  • Now that is one pretty horse!

  • I agree with HowrseWhisperer!

  • it just depends on the way you look at it.

  • The American Appaloosa Association frowns at you for your lack of sense.

    Appies = Breed

    Palominos = color.,

Next you're gonna start saying that paint is the color of a horse, and a pinto is a breed.

  • *sigh* i know these things... people just don't understand. palominos can be both, but most know them as a color. that's what i think of them as. i think of appies as both a breed and color. all people want is to be right. this is making the argument longer and harder. like i said, it depends on the way you look at it.

  • It also depends on the actuality of facts. I'll rest my case if you can find me a breed description of the "oh so elusive" palomino breed.

The fact that appies have several breed exclusive clubs makes it obvious that they are indeed a breed. If an appie doesn't have the "appaloosa" pattern, is it still an appaloosa? Yes, because its breed is specific to it heritage and bloodlines.

Palomino, being a genotype, can't be filtered into a single breed because it is a diloution of the chestnut gene.

  • pretty much all i was saying is that people think palominos are a breed. i do and don't think that. and yes, i know that an appy doesn't have to be appaloosa colored to be an appy.

  • a pinto is a breed and a paint is a color i should i kno i have a pinto arab

  • @horzcrzy ... You just failed majorly...

A Pinto is a color, and a paint is a breed. The APHA is for the Paint breed, which is in conjunction with the AQHA.

  • Comment removed

  • @LitleDusk muhahha, just look a few comments above yours, there is actually someone saying that!!!

  • uh... it's not a registered breed (like a palomino), but yes, it IS a breed. it's a color too. :)

  • Palomino is not a breed. (I don't know why people think that)

A QH is or a Paint is or a TB is that can be palomino, but palomino is a COLOUR.

"What breed of horse is your horse?"

    "Palomino"

    "Aww what color?"

    "Bay!"

So not every palomino horse can be considered to be the "palomino" breed

  • @Cheesekake343 LOL too funny. May I reprint this every time I hear/see such dumb statements???

  • @Shokara2 hahaha go for it =P

  • Oh my god that is so cool! You don't see very many appaloosa draft horses!

  • Appaloosa is the name of a breed and a spotting pattern in horses. Just like Paint is a breed and a color. This is a stunning horse. Great markings and a handsome draft.

  • miss ammit, this horse is a noriker, not an appaloosa, not only the appaloosas have this spotting pattern, try to find something about the norikers AND the knabstruppers for example and they are not the only breeds with this color.

  • @eccarvu I completely agree with you. I have an Appaloosa but, can clearly tell the difference between the two. The Noriker is from Austria while the Appaloosa is from 7th century China going back to the tang Dynasty where later found regions like France and Austria in horses like the Lippizzan with characteristics such as the mottled skin so, somewhere along the lines the two breeds may have clashed forming their similar coat patterns.

  • @MissAmmit Pinto's the color. Paint is the breed,

  • Maybe you don't know nothing about draft horses. Noriker is the draft horse breed of Austria. Ya but first of all, you sholud know, where is Austria.. It's in Europe.

Please look at "noriker" on wiki.

  • lamoloud, the norikers are a way lighter draft horse than the other draft breeds. like pavone says, try to search it in the google at least :)

  • @LaMoLoud I agree with Pavone83 plus "Appaloosa" is the name of a colour, it can uccur in many diffrent breeds.

  • @demorien nope, appaloosa is an official breed of US-origin (Palouse prairie Idaho) and the horses can have different colour patterns such as "blanket" (like the noriker in the vid), leopard, snowflake and many more. some of these colour patterns can be seen on other breeds as well but when talking of an appaloosa it's always that specific breed.

  • @demorien *buzzer sound* Fail on the "I know everything cause I can click Post" response. Try doing your homework before you start typing. Saying something that idiotic... reflects too much on yourself. We have Native Americans to thank for the APPALOOSA. Its a breed. NOT just a pattern. Wow... your SUCH a Youtube expert all right. Say that stuff around horse people and watch how many would laugh you right out of a barn.

  • @LaMoLoud that's a noriker they can have markings like that just like knabstrups have a snowflake pattern but they aint appaloosas.

  • @LaMoLoud I am sorry I would have to disagree with you. Yes somewhere in earlier history teh Noriker and the Appaloosa may have clashed but, as you should know the Noriker is it's own breed with it's own characteristics. I also have an Appaloosa so, just because you have one also doesn't mean you should be stating things that are not necassarily true.

  • @LaMoLoud This horse isn't an Appaloosa!

  • @LaMoLoud The horse looks half appaloosa and half draft

  • @sugarmypaint1 It doesn't have appaloosa blood at all. It is a Noriker, an Austrian draft breed that can have the spotted coloring.

  • @LaMoLoud Umm...Norikers are draft horses..So stfu

  • an appaloosa i most certainly a breed

but if u were 2 say say like'leopard appaloosa' then thats just a color but Appaloosa is certainly a breed..ask anyone with a brain

+ my horse is an appaloosa so yea.. deal w/ itt♥

  • @RLPD93 ya, well, whatever. i have brains you know, but i was just saying. google it or something. gosh!!!! peoples these days!!!!!!!

  • The Appaloosa is a horse breed known for its preferred leopard-spotted coat pattern and other distinctive physical characteristics.

Thank you Wikipedia, thank you Google. I think you need to look these things up before you say things aloud.

  • @RLPD93

appaloosa is for sure a breed. I agree :] Who ever doesnt should read a breeders manual.

  • lol thanks for agreeing..idk how in the WORLD anyone would argue over something like this haha..its like..18 ppl agaist one..deal w/ it..haah!

  • @RLPD93

    Hahah yes :]

  • ya, an appaloosa is a color. besides, it's such a no-brainer, drafts are big and heavy, just like this one!

  • @HowrseWhisperer An Appaloosa is not a colour... it's a breed.

  • well everybody calls it a color but technically it is a breed, they have characteristics like mottled skin white sclera a shorter tail and a stalkier body, cool breed. But Whenever I see a spotted blanket on a horse I automatically say appaloosa even if it's a pony.

  • Love Norikers! So unfortunate that some of these breeds are so rare, they're such nice horses

  • You wouldn't have Morgans if it were not for the Canadian horse. The Canadian horses (not called the Canadian at the time) were part of a carefully monitored breeding program in France, sent over from France to Canada by the King of France in the 1600s. It was a compact, tough little horse, specifically bred for work in the new world. This is the only explanation as to why Justin Morgan's stallion was so prepotent and why his foals looked exactly like him. They were generally black or dark bay.

  • Woww heavy

  • go eat some stars and stripes and stop putting everything thats isn't american down

  • Yes... Morgans can do that a LOT better lol :)

  • YOU ARE RIGHT

  • If it neat, please send us a video. :)

  • ummm that is easy for a draft horse and love the appyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @ThePony1221 Not an Appaloosa. It's a rare Noriker horse.

  • k whatever

  • tht horse iz beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

  • appaloosas look good as norikers :o

  • what breed, exactly, is he? I've never seen an appy get that huge!

  • As you see on the title of the video, this horse is a noriker draft horse. Noriker is the coldblooded horse breed of Austria.

  • interesting. i've never seen any other breed with that type of colouring besides appaloosas.

    very pretty though.

  • hes just a appy

  • Ik heb ook een noriker,

Maar wat een zielige wedstrijd is het of wat het mag zijn!!!Zal ik bij hun 400 kilo agter hun rug hangen en zeggen dat hun 100 meter moet lopen!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • norikers trekken normaal altijd boomstammen hoor

    NORIKER!!! i love norikers

  • that's exactly my horse except that mine is a red stallion ,where can i buy one of those horses ,his colours are very beautiful

  • he's pretty.

  • gorgeous horse! ^^
