I haven't kept up much with Audioslave lately...been busy with my projects in my studio but damn, Tom Morello is the shit, the band is really good. I was watching a vid from Tool on the 10,000 Days Tour 2007 Tom shows up on stage next to Adam during Lateralus and does like one of his famous solos from Rage I think. amazing.
it bugs me. i wanna see how tom morello does the very first intro part of the song that sounds like an organ. i cant find any live version tht has it :(
I love how Tom puts a lot of feeling into his solos. He goes crazy and all out in rage and he was always into is solos while in audio as well.. not just playing the guitar. Gahh i just love his passion in everything he does!

Its got soul and thats something that cant be fabricated or faked.Sometimes its refreshing just to hear a tune. You cant sing along to technical twidling!! Why does a solo need to be anything else but what is required? One of the best solos ever is on Gerry Raffertys Baker street and i doubt anyone could disagree that thats a great solo Its the timing the phrasing and the soul that makes it so good.

tom morello isnt one of my favorite guitarists...dont get me wrong hes a good guitarists, it just seems that he plays a simple solo and covers it with alot of effects to make it sound cool (sorry if i hurt anyones feelings)
Fair comment, its not technically challenging but at the same time its simple and works. Its like drummers who can beat the shit out the skins but does it work? sometimes. I'd like to hear him play something technical but his solo's still work for me. Also he works well with the bass player, like a stone is fucking quality when the bass kicks in with him on his solo.
i think that's a fair comment, but at the same time that's what makes his stuff original. he takes a simple concept and makes it sound awesome. that's not something that just anyone can do, he shows a lot of creativity in the use of his effects and stuff.
