Well my dear, I can comment on the drummer..this is Ton Dijkman, the absolute to drummer of Holland/The Netherlands. Playing with Marco Borsate for instance....I followed masterclasses with him...nono, he absolutely knows what his doing and I respect him very much
well, in my opinion one of the WORST performances - to much studio-like sounding (no soul, just perfectly played back), drummer sounds like he's a beginner (although he surely isn't), drums itself sound like toy, compare this to Candy Dulfer live 1993 Pickup the Pieces (type this in youtube) - A masterpiece compared to this!
That break with Candy and the drummer is just killer, absolutely killer. My band and I have incorporated this gimmick into our shows as of late, though I'm no Candy. I publicly renounce my [musical] sexism.
To the poster, this is from the Montreux Jazz Festival 1998.....I know this for sure because I remember streaming it live that day to my desk! LOL This was playing in Switzerland and I live in the DC area. So when this was being played live they are a few hours ahead of us so I was able to watch it during my dinner break! LOL But this is definitely from 1998.
