Okay, does anybody else here feel that if Beethoven were born in our time, that he would be making insane house music like this? I feel like deadmau5 is a Composer, the same as any of the great composers in history,except now we have advanced music technology and don't have to rely on analog instruments. Also, I feel that house music has very similar melodic properties as classical music. Especially Right This Second- very classical progression. This stuff is just as beautiful as any classical.

@seanmquigley I do think of great producers similarly to great classic composers of old. They were all about the composition and writing of great pieces which I think is the best way to say what a modern house producer does when creating an original.

Fun fact, this track was originally composed for the lyrics of Raise Your Weapon, but deadmau5 decided to do something different from a standard dance track and redid it. That's why this track is unreleased.

Now I know nothing about making electronic music I just listen to it...but why doesn't he just listen to October and try to remake it. It would be like how a trumpet player might listen to another trumpet player and listen for the notes and then try to copy him. Just a thought.

@alpha9mm Remaking the music from scratch is always an option and I myself only have shallow insight to how electronic music is made but there is quite a lot of tweaking you can do.... so many parameters that control precisely how an individual note sounds. If you've ever seen one of the soundboards (or whatever it's called) that deadmau5 or any other electronic artist uses, and all of the little knobs that change the way the notes sound, you can start to appreciate how difficult it would be.
