  • The consumer likes piracy, a few greedy coporations prefer ripping people off to making a killing, times are changing - tough shit!

People like Pete Waterman cannot pull these stunts anymore - too bad! And fuck viacom too.

  • this irritates me a great deal

america is supposed to stand for freedom

but there are so many things happening done by the government that removes freedom from its citizens

i love america so much, and it breaks my heart knowing how evil the people who run it are

what we need is sweet glorious revolution

but with all the poison the pump into the air and our drinking water, social conditioning by the media we have a nation full of docile idiots.. fully grown adults with the mindset of 16 year olds

  • @Illidan1337OG Shame the government blew up the 2 trade towers and killed loads of people for an insurance claim. Think again! The government do not run the country, they do what they are told by capital holders.

  • the fucked up thing is that they will govern every site around the world. This is not right. If passed they should only govern websites in america because they dont have the jurisdiction outside of there own country. this also affects many people who make money off of youtube andat times use copyrighted material. so this screws those people and there jobs. they only see what the companies want even though not all the internet is not used for infringement but also promotion

  • Fuck off government your overstepping your bounds again, serve us, not yourselfs. Fuckers....We need a revolution.

  • This is fucking stupid. Fuck America, fuck the government, I don't even want to live on this planet anymore. No one is free and we never will be as long as shit like this is allowed to go on.

  • everyone make your voices heard against congress at 888-907-4136 we must stop this bill from passing it needs to be known on the news tv ads flyers or something we have got to get the word out about this please spread the word this bill is very dangerious and needs to be taken seriously

  • We. Must. Stop. This. Bill.

  • The Founding Fathers of the United States would SO hate the country its become. IMO one of the best quotes that I have respect for is by Benjamin Franklin "Those who sacrifice liberty for security deserve neither"

  • Where's "Anonymous"? They should do something...

  • @linusbomb They're smoking pot, eating potato chips and jerking off to porn.

  • why the fuck are these people in congress passing stupid retarted bills?

really? whats up with you congress? i am dissapoint.

  • 4CHAN UNITE! RISE UP

  • I will fight this as long as i am in America.

I may be moving to Germany soon enough, but i can help stop censorship.

  • I live in Germany - would this affect me as well, if they censor (as an example) YouTube? And another question: Couldn't websites, which are about the get deleted or whatever just move their servers to European countries or just away from America?

  • @CasualFail1 YouTube is an American company, it will be censored for everyone.

  • "THE MORE I READ OR LISTEN TO POLITICIANS & THEIR IDEAS, THE MORE I BECOME CONVINCED; WITHOUT QUESTION, DOUBT, OR MORAL RESERVE, THAT OUR NATION IS BEING MANAGED BY A BUNCH OF FREAKIN' IDIOTS!!!" --Ariel A.

This should be a high-ranked quote! In fact this quote should be in movies, text-books...you all get the picture.

  • ALL YOU GOODIE DOER IDIOTS THAT BELIEVE THAT THIS DARK, MALIGNANT & SINISTER PLOT OF THE EXTREMELY WEALTHY & THOSE IN CONTROL, ARE WANTING TO PASS THIS LEGISLATURE FOR YOUR GOOD...SHOULD BE THE FIRST TO GET CHIPPED OR GASSED. YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO WHATEVER LITTLE FREEDOM IS LEFT & SHOULD BE THE FIRST TO DIE SO THAT WE AT THE TOP OF THE FOOD-CHAIN WILL CONTINUE BREED INTELLIGENCE & STRENGTH. YOU ARE ALL IDIOTS IF YOU BELIEVE THAT THIS BILL IS FOR THE GOOD OF EVERYDAY AMERICANS..THINK CHINAMERICA!

  • ALL HEIL TO OBAMA!!! HE'S ACTUALLY A PART OF THIS...PRETTY SOON WE WON'T HAVE THE LUXURY TO ASSEMBLE IN THE INTERNET. WE WON'T HAVE THE LUXURY OF CERTAIN FREEDOMS OF EXPRESSION FURNISHED TO ALL OF US, AMERICANS & WORLD WIDE, BY THE INTERNET. NEW FELONIOUS LAWS ENACTED ALMOST DAILY, WE HAVE THE HIGHEST INCARCERATION RATE, PER CAPITA, OF ANY SUPERPOWER OR COUNTRY PERIOD. NOW THIS? WHAT KIND OF FUTURE ARE WE MOVING TOWARDS? THINK AMERICA, THINK. FIGHT THE POWER!!!!! WAKE-UP, 2GETHER WE STAND!

  • WELL...DOES ANYONE NOT BELIEVE IN THE NWO & THOSE WACKY CONSPIRACIES YET?!

WE ARE MOVING TOWARDS THE SHITTING OF THE 1ST AMENDMENT! IF THIS PASSES...WE ARE ALL DOOMED!

WHO ALL PROPOSED THIS LEGISLATURE? WE NEED TO EXPOSE THEM & VOTE THEM OUT OF OFFICE, ASAP!!! LET US EXPOSE THESE ANTI-AMENDMENT NEW WORLD ORDER CONTROL FREAKS! AFTER THIS THEY'LL TAKE OUR GUNS...& PROBABLY OUR RIGHT TO VOTE TOO! THEY'RE ALREADY STOPPING OCC.WALL ST. I'M AGAINST THEIR VIEWS BUT THEY HAVE THAT 1ST AM RIGHT-WAKE UP

  • since when is the entertainment industry an authority?

  • @AirForcedude5

    That's exactly what I thought.

Really, when the government puts the priority to protect IP instead of Freedom of Speech, then you know somethings fucked up. I really hope this abomination doesn't pass...

  • Nobody wants to have a china-like internet regime. Why do the rest of us have to be affected just because the Hollywood fat-cats are a throwing a temper tantrum?

  • I feel bad for those production companies losing all their money, I mean damn they only made what 1.2 billion dollars on the last Harry Potter movie.

  • jesus!! this is like the internet kill switch, but this is worth this is a trick to controle the internet.

  • I thought American was supposed to be "The home of the free and brave" where we can all speak our minds. A place that can set the principles all else where. If this passes then this bill will destroy everything America once held true.

"They call it the American Dream, because you have to be asleep to believe it".

  • America is going china style lol

  • Hahaha, it's laughable. You can't stop Internet. It's too powerful. Why do we even worry? XD

  • So are they going to employ people to "walk the beat" in the "downtown of the internet"

    INTERNET POH-LICE GO HOMMEEEEEEEE

  • I will laugh when this bill fails, you can't stop the internet, if this happens USA will turn into Egypt 2. :P

  • Lol. I'm not paying to see a movie I will most likely not enjoy, or buy a CD that I will hate. It's not like I can get a refund because I don't like it.

If I like a movie I'd try it out, and if I liked it I'd buy the real thing.

But whatever.. I'll keep doing this until I'm cut off completely.

On Pirate Bay right now. Whatchu gon do Copyright Police?

  • Okay, i understand the need for copyright because then artists, musicians and authors wouldn't make any money because people could just steal their ideas. But this is getting ridiculous, it's called freedom of speech and fair use!

  • @purpleshamrock17 they don't make money, because the recording company thats all of it if not makes them pay to "record" it.

If an artist sells 1 millions copies they usually only get about 100k-200k for it they get most of there money from live concerts, items and stuff like that.

  • Resist! We are entering the last stages, they will try everything to force you on your knees. They know the shit is about to hit the fan in the US and this is the preemptive strike on freedom of speech.

All over the world the Net was instrumental in sparking the REVOLUTION. Our OWNERS know this and are AFRAID of us. STAND UP, chose freedom! Choose dignity, the digital french revolution.

They will not succeed. The game of segregation and manipulation ends.

    Information is FREE.

  • @Isaiah6517

Indeed, I would post something like this, but you write better. :D

  • Let's stop Congress from passing any legislation until we get them out of the back pockets of special interests.

  • we all need to unite our lazers, unity!!!!!! we need to go from "we r over 9,000" to "over 90,000,000" now imagine the damage!!!!!

  • I will leave this damn country if this happens.

  • @toasterthegamer Agreed.

  • People! Don't think that the democracy you think exists in the U.S. is unconditional! Pretty soon they'll rip up the constitution because "it allows certain rights for terrorists to use as an advantage". I say rip up the "Patriot" act!!! down with the politicians that come up with this! -word to any of the big wigs that see this- this will not come without a revolution of sorts!

  • By the way, now I know what my next Video is going to be about, Do you know what yours will be?

  • Everyone who is seeing this comment just link this video to your facebook and send it to everyone you know please

  • They do this and a lot of the pirates will turn to hacking, the government thinks they will fix things but they will just make them worse

  • Hmmm, I don't like what they are trying to do with the blacklist, but i think they could go about it in a better way. We all know sites like PIRATEBAY and they make ad revenue off of other peoples work, without contributing to the creators of what is shared. I think if sites like that would just set up a donation system to be givin to the movies games and music creators it would be a great thing, for this economy and the people that are doing all this work we enjoy. We want entertainment. right?

  • @jcshelfw1 Sure, donations for the authors sounds great, but I doubt Sony, FOX, Time Warner, Netflix, etc, etc, will settle for a system based on donations . . . they've got new yachts and private jets to buy!

  • A way to keep people from educating others about how politics is played in favor of the big lobbies and Corporations.

  • The users control the internet. So don't think you can stop people from getting to those blocked websites.

  • Leave the internet the way it is, It is entirely impossible to enforce copyright infringement, It will always happen, there is NO way of stopping it. As most wont even listen to the law and still continue to do their acts. YOU CANNOT STOP PIRACY. End of story.

  • come one people tor?! dont leave home without it.

  • Proxies and Darknets

  • Lawmakers will vote for anything their owners want them to pass aka whatever corporation paid for their campaigns.

Some people are paranoid about the government and government here and that but that's short sighted it's corporations you have to worry about cuz they own governments.

  • i just love american bullshit :)

  • @mujdin91 I dont even live in america. But my servers are hosted there and my VPN is too, but it is fun to watch all this bullshit, from a country that just trys to do what ever they can to limit their citizens in every way, even a child cant make their own decisions.

  • Inb4 Anonymous strikes back.

  • When the government starts censors ANYTHING red flags should go up in the public. It's time for the american people to STAND up and fight for our rights. Its time for Us the ACTUAL people of the USA to stand up together not under a party but as US citizens. Stand up to fight for our rights people!

  • Atleast anonymous is helping out.

  • What? Seriously? What? Our government needs some massive revamping. This is the not the way to stop pirating. This is the way to control the masses. Come on people.

  • Things like this video would probably be subject to being "blocked" from us in the future if this bill is passed, WAKE UP PEOPLE, If we want freedom, you have to constantly face those who will inevitably try to control what you know. If this bill is passed it is because we let it happen.

  • Welcome to the united soviet states of america...

  • @blasphemator That is so true. I don't understand the need for the bill either. Any power that is given to the government will eventually be abused... We the people allowed the government to have the power that they have now...

  • Great idea to have music in the background blurring the already lousy sound making it hard to hear the voices.

  • Please excuse me as I laugh at this bill.

  • =/ My surprised face.

  • @blasphemator Of course not. But things will be far more ok on this ground. It's evolution.

  • FUCK YOU, PATRICK LEAHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • the fed is illegal period

  • Piracy will prevail. In about 10-20 years, it won't even be called piracy. It will be known as "the great copyright revolution war", something which will be studied in schools, movies will be made about it, books will be written about it (they already are). Open Internet and the Elimination of Oppressive Copyright Tyranny is clearly the future. The business factor will slowly disappear from art, after direct donations to artists (like flattr) will become the standard. It's just a matter of time.

  • @cosmingurau I think it will be known as "cost-free distribution"... Instilling the idea that this is a war between the American entertainment industry, and the rest of the world, is wrong in my opinion, because they will be encouraged to win the "war" through the use of their resources (moolah), instead of attempting to embrace the BT protocol and other forms of lire distribution (like Creative Commons productions such as Pioneer One have done).

  • @BurritoBazooka libre distribution*

  • @BurritoBazooka They won't win the war. It may take some time and a lot of victims, but they won't win it. Google seems to be on our side... but even without Google we will win.

  • @cosmingurau How the hell is copyright oppression? If I spend time and effort making something I care about it damn well not be stolen by someone.

  • @ColtonOweekly Not copyright per se, the notion of being recognized as the author of a certain thing is of course necessary and downright normal. We have creative commons for that. But unfortunately, copyright is just the excuse the media conglomerates pull in order for them to wage wars on their consumers, in order to strip them of their last penny. Copyright is a sword with two blades.

  • @cosmingurau

I don't think I'd go so far as to call it a war to strip us of money. The majority of consumers wouldn't go broke if suddenly breaking copyright was a physical impossibility - the majority of people don't make their incomes from selling things someone else made.

But you are right on it being a double-edged sword, everything is really.

  • @cosmingurau Let's hope so, my friend. I've always thought that we are living in the golden age of the internet right now. We are in the "Wild west" period so to speak. Laws are loose and users are free to do mostly what they want. Eventually it will be locked down with progressing monitoring technology and the internet will no longer be a free place.

  • @Lunarmemory You are right by saying we are in the wild west period of the Internet. Nice way to put it. But I don't think that it will be progressively locked down. No doubt a lot of fat cats will try to. But apart from the fact that we the majority, especially all the new generations, are already way too accustomed to the "free" system, and would fight to protect it, there are also some OTHER fat cats who want Internet to stay free. As I said, Google has build an empire on this idea.

  • I've been trying to get everyone I know to oppose this bill. Also, off topic, excellent choice picking Bassnectar for the music ;).

  • Yeaa wooohoo Internet spaceship ! USA :"I AM A TROLL , I HAVE COME TO DESTROY YOUR INTERNET SPACESHIP"

    Nooooooooooooo.

  • I understand blocking torrent sites that are illegal, sites that have full footage of movies that are still in theaters, and even user posted videos on youtube that contain full footage of a movie... not everything...

  • Wow. ZERO people approve of this bill.

  • FUCK PROTECT IP!!!!!! PIRACY FOREVER!!!!!!

  • mfw I realize I'm already listening to the song in the video

  • This looks like one of those conspiracy things

  • "If you sacrifice a little freedom to gain a little safety, you would lose them both, and gain none."

  • Living in Canada/Quebec I'm not for this bill at all. this is why i registered against

  • Zero dislikes! Not a single person who saw this video supports protect IP! What does that say about it?!?

  • @Skyler827 that people will not sit back and let themselves be raped of their rights.

  • USA: The new China.

  • 0 people....

  • does this mean no more free porn?

  • The government is just asking to be hacked by lulzsec...

  • On June 6, 2010, Saeed had been sitting on the second floor of a cybercafe. Two detectives from the Sidi Gaber police station entered the premises and arrested him. Multiple witnesses testified that Saeed was beaten to death by the police, who reportedly hit him and smashed him against objects as he was led outside to their police car. Go to wikipedia and read about him!

  • If you don't think the Internet is a political toy for anti-democratic governments like the Bush-Cheney administration or the Mubarak administration in Egypt, then you don't know about the young Khaled Saeed, whose death served as a rallying point for Egypt's 25 January revolution, was murdered, according to a new medical report. Saeed was killed and then a packet of marijuana was inserted into his throat, according to the report by Egypt's chief medical examiner, Ayman Fouda.

  • @antonscottgoustin Really, Bush-Cheney? We're gonna make that connection? A lot of crazy shit happens in this world, but you need to stop blaming every last thing on Bush and Cheney. They aren't exactly Satan and his trusty demon you know.

  • USA government cares more about the internet than their bankruptcy....EPIC FAIL. I am ashamed to be an American. Land of Opportunity? More like Land of Hypocrisy. If you're immigrating, skip the USA, and go to either Canada or one of the Scandinavian countries. Their quality of life is amazing.

  • @NessMencesal Right. They didn't just spend the last six months debating over the debt ceiling and government spending. They've only been talking about a bill that hasn't been put before the House yet. DERP

  • Why does the people in this video jump or skip? Look closely! If you want to prove your point, don't edit the video to only say what you want them to say. By doing so you are no better than the government your fighting against.

  • hell bassnectar timestretch is the sh1t

  • Fromt he sidebar, it looks like the blacklist could block Pippa Milddleton's arse.

  • I demand progress.

  • There is so much BS in the government now that they want to be communists >_<

  • @FloppyTrout This would be more of a Fascist, or Authoritarian thing than a Communist thing. Communism, in principle, is diametrically opposed to censorship of the people. Most Communist countries are complex hybrids of Statism, Authoritarianism, and Communism. Once a lot of Communist leaders realized that large sects of the public wouldn't accept Communism, they adopted fascist and militaristic ways of forcing them to swallow the pill. This is a human err, not a Communist one.

  • @eyetranceend Ah i see. Thank you for clearing that up. :D

  • @FloppyTrout No problem. I'm a student of history, and Communism never gets a fair shake. Don't get me wrong, I would never live in a Communist country, but the truth is that there is not now, nor has there ever been, a communist country as laid out in the Communist Manifesto.

  • protect IP, protecting big business's right to crush small business and small people.

  • @Saiko47 you make a very good point...if this bill passes, it essentially outlaws all internet browsers but congress is too stupid to realize that.

  • AWW YEH BASSHEAD

  • Thanks for putting this video together. It definitely hits the point that what's wrong with this situation.

  • Revelation 13:1-18 .... And he had power to give life [Greek: breath] unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed."

I think the image (or statue/man made) is through Government security main computers.

    Just a hunch ;)

Just another step forward for BIG BROTHER, and if you still think you have any "Say So" power, think again! It's those with enough money to buy/bribe your politicians.

Give em' an inch, they take a mile!

  • I think there needs to be SOME kind of control over the internet....but not like this.

  • Sorry was that USA or China? I missed that part!

  • The apex of irony: USA complaining to China about them censoring their peoples internet access - and then turning right around to install their very own identical internet blacklist back at home.

    Fuck the hypocrisy!

  • Everyone that sees this has a responsibility to bring it to the attention of everyone that will listen, this is too important to just complain about, we need to be proactive to protect the few rights we have left.

  • They already tried to pull this off in France, and it is currently an epic fail. I'm not too worried, to be honest

  • Right let me get this right. America thinks it has the right to block a website in other countries? What the fuck gives them any sort of right to do that then. Why does America always think they control the whole world? I am SO glad I live in the UK and not there...

  • @lja1993 UK is actually worse off than the USA as far as government and that's saying something,,,

  • Completely agreed.

The only thing that takes away your message is that annoying music like it the end scene of a terrible semi-action movie.

  • I'm in the UK. The reason I'm worried is that if this is approved in the US, a similar proposal will happen in the UK. So, who am I supposed to be emailing?

  • @Matrixian21 its already happening in the uk - openrightsgroup . org

  • @Matrixian21 see the Open Rights Group.

  • @Matrixian21 It already has. Your court of appeals just ruled that users that dont have a license to take a copy of the website for display is copy right infringment. Guess what your browser does?

  • @Saiko47 Everyone in parliament is a retard, seriously.

  • @Matrixian21 we're only 6 months behind the yanks so it will be defo on the cards for us, come on Anonymous sort those fuckers out. Wiki Anonymous (group), hehe

  • @Matrixian21 both?

  • @Matrixian21 theres a button that says not in the usa on the site

  • @Matrixian21 I thought you guys already had a 3 strike rule for being ACCUSED of pirating, before kicking your entire FAMILY off the internet...

  • @Matrixian21 Email your lawmakers now, while our politicians are still debating it. Urge them to contact the American government and tell them to back down from this horrible idea.

  • @Matrixian21 Every American you know.

  • @Matrixian21 If such a bill comes to the UK get in touch with your local MP and find out his position., they most probably will know nothing about it so it's up to you to educate. If they do know about it ask about their position and take it from there. If anti, get involved and fast, mobilise a local awareness campaign. Also find out what Bills are coming up in Parliament and if something similar is there.. start early.

  • @Matrixian21 There's a link in the vid description.

  • @Matrixian21

    "EVERYONE!" -Gary Oldman. :p

  • pretty much all it is is a bunch of whiny little cunts acting like two year olds going "mommy he is sharing my content for free make it stop", i swear people get stupider and more self conceited every day.

    thumbs up if you agree.

  • @animekingxninja Yep. And everyone is oversensitive too. You can't even tell jokes anymore without people getting offended.

  • @LadyRuin2012 that's true in some cases but there's things like people who believe if they hate something that because of free speech they can say whatever they want when they want where they want and go all racist or homophobic across the web funny thing is tho they only prove that their lives are hopeless and jail is the only thing for them. ive come across a trans hating individual online here and really wish to show here what freedom of speech really means but i dont because its offensive.

  • I just sent John Kerry an email about the PROTECT IP act. Let's see what he sends me.

  • Why do I have this horrible feeling that this bill is a huge step towards "1984"? Anyways, why must the government worry about trivial bullshit like the internet? They need to focus on the economoy, terrorism, and other big issues.

  • @NeuGristle87 *economy.

  • @NeuGristle87 Because internet is giving true freedom to the people. Especially the freedom of information is very scary for goverments.

  • @NeuGristle87 yup

  • I can see where your taxes are going down the toilet.

  • I screamed in anger at this. Really and truly. You mean to tell me that this government is MORE worried about what the fuck goes on in the internet than they are about the troubles in the world, like wars all across the world, floods, starvation, earthquakes and god forfuckingbid a terrorist attack here at HOME?!!

FUCK THIS GOVERNMENT!!! Fuck you, government. Fuck you very fucking much.

  • @BlisteredBlood

They do care about those things too. But congress isn't in charge of taking care of those things. They make bills. And they have to tend to the bills that are introduced to them. That is their job. Understand how your government works before you go screaming and yelling at them.
