That reminds me of the Trading Cards in Nintendo Power. Every month there was a contest, and if you had a combination of the 3 cards they asked for each month, you could send them in for a prize. I still have me trading card folder with 2 years worth of cards on SNES, Gameboy, and NES games.  They aren't card quality though, as you rip them off of each other. And each back of the card game you 3 challenges to try and beat the game, like Beat Zelda without collecting any heart containers.
