Wow, you're a total douche. How long did you play anyways? Let me point out some options:

Hotkeys: F1-F8, 1-6

Space bar - Jump (press twice to double-jump)

X - Flip while Walking/Jumping

Plenty of other options. I have played this on my laptop, and it works fine. The hotkeys are set up very nicely.
