Blame it on the parents who never saw the signs of psychosis, or the weapons. Blame it on the teachers who didn't stop the kid from being bullied, beat up, etc. Hell, blame it on the government for not having a tighter grip on illegal weapons smuggling, not giving enough funding to schools to help the staff there with better training, psychologists, etc.
Though the underlying problem here is that the child got tired of being bullied and since no one else stopped it, he had to, or die trying.

Fuck off, this mission is great, humans need their bloodlust to be fulfilled these days, or they let it build inside until they snap and bring in a mac 10 to their school and fucking kill everyone. The romans had the gladiators to fulfill their bloody needs, we have videogames, and besides, it's only a game anyway.
Games like GTA and Assassin's Creed 1+2 (both amazing games) also break some rules and implement dodgy shit, get over it, it's a game. The mission also fits the mood.

There is no positive outcome for adding this content this game. You can argue that they have the option to skip it, but be mature about it and use your head, its not necessary and in terms of plot development there are hundreds of ways to get the message across to people, ...Terrorist are bad.

The mission is a key part in the plot. The massacre was framed on Americans after Pvt. Allen was found out by Makarov and still acted like he thought Pvt. Allen was part of his terrorist group. Makarov then used Pvt. Allen's undercover CIA status to exploit Russian anger at the masscare, making it a catalyst for the later events to occur.
Brutal, but necessary. And awesome. There won't be another time in the game where you can shoot unarmed, unmoving targets.

I think they need to get out of Iraq before things get worse. Obama said that they're getting pulled out of Iraq in August of 2010. I hope it happens.

look every1 play the campaign and see that its used to illustrate multiple points, first this seen jumps off the entire war in the game ok and the good guys fight the wrong people so a deeper point i see in this scene and entire game is that " terrorist attacks" used by governments to start wars for their agendas the V for vendetta it is a parody to spell out the truth of the events of 9/11 ok or thats how i see it all of ya'll are free to your own opinions

For all of the people who "find it hard" to play this mission, well, don't. You have the option not to, so why bother? If your just going to complain and say, it was very disturbing, well they warned you and you could have skipped, so they gave a fair warning. Sure it's kinda wacked to just shoot up an airport, but skip the damn mission instead of playing it and then coming on here to complain about it.

Terrorists don't shoot people like this in real life. There are always political motivations of sorts or an objective to achieve.
This is more like the Columbine School Massacre and all the school shootings that is rampant in the US. The most notable event, some say the "first case" of terrorism, of the capture of the Israeli athletes, wasn't like that at all.

when i heard people talking about this misson and how shocking it was, i thought it was just people over reacting.
i mean, i've got half of the GTA episodes on Playstation 2 and Xbox 360. i think it's impossible for someone to own a GTA game, without going about killing civilians. i let my cousin play GTA IV and all he did was shoot civilians up.
now that i've seen it for myself. this mission does shock me. it's brutal, realistic and cruel. no wonder it's rated an 18.
