My alias on PSP-Hack's was 'Chernobyl', I had a stickied thread in which i released a complete series of C programming video tutorials for the novice PSP Dev's to learn from!
Dont get me wrong, im not here to abuse you and run you down, i actually like most of your vids...but the "homebrew community is pathetic" comment kinda ticket me off, some of the app's that have been released from "homebrew" dev's have been better than what Sony has done (not counting games of course, since Sony has hundred man teams coding around the clock! and a large production team) but general app's im talking!
And for the record i was one of the dev's back when the PSP hacking scene first started. I got my PS Vita during Aussie launch and ALWAYS pay for my software and console games.
I think you should show a little more respect for the homebrew scene, not all of us pirate games and some applications coded by community dev's are quite good. For instance the IRShell complete UI for thw PSP, that was GREAT! If you actually took a course in programming like myself and all the homebrew dev's have, you wouldnt call our work "Crap" and "Pathetic"....you know how complex and annoying coding can be? i bet you couldnt code Hello World if your life depended on it!
Free shit is always better than paying. The only thing anyone can really do is choose to support his/her pirated game by buying the actual copy. Other than that; It's whatever.

I like to download my games other then the only one shop that SCEA only wants me to go to. I buy my games on UMD then what I have to buy it again at a higher cost

Oh... Your so misinformed. There are more rooted, jailbroken and hacked iPhones running illegitamate games and software than the total # of Xbox 360s & PS3s sold on planet Earth combined. You also should note its much easier to share upload & download illegal iOS games or other software than it is PS3 or Xbox 360 software.
By the way, PS Vita does have HTML5 support but there is no Flash support yet. It's not the end of the world if a mobile device doesn't have Flash look at 3DS.

psvita is way too new to have all the good games in it...we have to wait and wait a lot of time
until then it is a good time to test the console and see its limits...seems like it was true that it can play ps2 games (someone had already ported battefield 3) all it needs is just emulator and we are all good to go and get our good old games we all love.
Nobody ported BF3 to the PSV. They used a PS3 with illegitimate firmware and a un-hacked PSV. They played the game on the Vita using remote play (this has been done on an un-hacked PSPs as well).
I don't believe in piracy, but being able to update your device with better tech. If you have a Vita in your hands, and know it could double as a phone so long as you have proper 3G access, why wouldn't you want to tweak in a phone since Sony probably hasn't bothered to include one. Be it something put out by MagicJack, Scype, or Google (Yeah, they have a phone app too.). A persistent programmer could make a Vita double as a portable video phone and I'd pay money for that (Hint hint Sony).
Um... Skype may have a legitimate video phone update come out for the Vita & who knows maybe the Magic Jack app will come to the Vita (doubt it but, Sony says PSV is open to legitimate developers and more apps will come out for the Vita).
BTW what good has ever come out of "Modifying" a PSP... An XMB that doesn't look like the XMB, Divx support, screenshot support, Bricking & I think thats all I've ever heard of other than FREE GAMES! which of course are all illegal. mod are illegal

Just some facts for you. Sony only employs around 168,000 people as of March 31, 2011. I think that includes ALL of Sony: SPHE, Sony BMG, SCEI, ect. Less than 1,500 work for SCEI. Thats ALL of SCE: SCEJ, SCEE, SCEA ect. I'm sure an even smaller team of people designed the PS Vita inside and out. So I think they did a fantastic job.
I reserved my vita ....I really hope they don't hack it for commercial games 5 years from now ....iits gonna ruin the handheld industry I do howeve hope they get a ps2 emu on it ;-)
during the period of time when ps3 was hacked into and psn was shutdown, i got a platinum trophy for fallout 3 and wipeout HD for free from sony ^^...
i laugh at the people who have hacked ps3 because new ofw firmwares after the release worldwide release of ngp because the new firmware is going to make ps3 games more compatable with the vita remote play probably have similar update for vita.
Also the only reason i would hack is the psx game i have got (my original copies).

i think hacking systems is more than occasionally free games. I think of it as unlocking the systems full potential, same for jail breaking phones. Its kinda like buying a car and being told you cant touch anything under the hood. Not going to buy a vita, still have another of Sony's misleading products. PS3: It only does everything, BULL it did more before it was released then now.

No the "VITA" isn't hacked. Only the PSP emulator ist hacked, because of the al ready 1.00-6.60 hacked psp BUT until now, you CANT play psp copied games, because of the left kernel mode, so its only an Homebrew enabler today, and those is really great i think.

The only way this will ever be eliminated entirely is if both sides came to an agreement of NO HACKING for FREE/DISCOUNTED game prices... and even then, you'll probably still have some left over theives.

They are screwing us over with over pricing game releases, no way in hell are they going to loose money over people pirating games...
5 friends buy a bundle for $300 that would amount to $1500 if math is right.

Nobody ported BF3 to the PSV. They used a PS3 with illegitimate firmware and a un-hacked PSV. They played the game on the Vita using remote play (this has been done on an un-hacked PSPs as well).

I don't believe in piracy, but being able to update your device with better tech. If you have a Vita in your hands, and know it could double as a phone so long as you have proper 3G access, why wouldn't you want to tweak in a phone since Sony probably hasn't bothered to include one. Be it something put out by MagicJack, Scype, or Google (Yeah, they have a phone app too.). A persistent programmer could make a Vita double as a portable video phone and I'd pay money for that (Hint hint Sony).

Um... Skype may have a legitimate video phone update come out for the Vita & who knows maybe the Magic Jack app will come to the Vita (doubt it but, Sony says PSV is open to legitimate developers and more apps will come out for the Vita).
BTW what good has ever come out of "Modifying" a PSP... An XMB that doesn't look like the XMB, Divx support, screenshot support, Bricking & I think thats all I've ever heard of other than FREE GAMES! which of course are all illegal. mod are illegal

Though if the Vita is open as you say, that has promise for interesting possibilities. I buy my games/programs legitimately because I respect the people who put time and money into them. If I don't respect them, then I just don't buy them. PS: Play Gauntlet, save $200 on Skylanders ripoff gimicks.

I don't think Sony has that many employees.
Just some facts for you. Sony only employs around 168,000 people as of March 31, 2011. I think that includes ALL of Sony: SPHE, Sony BMG, SCEI, ect. Less than 1,500 work for SCEI. Thats ALL of SCE: SCEJ, SCEE, SCEA ect. I'm sure an even smaller team of people designed the PS Vita inside and out. So I think they did a fantastic job.

@hellaroms12345 Hacking should never be about free games, it should only be about homebrew & linux. I have two PS3's, one for the best console games and online play. The other is 60gig Jap 3.55 Kemew, homebrew, linux and as a media centre for .mkv's etc.
Also anyone that thinks that running 'Hello world' code through PSP emulation on a Vita is going to lead to a Vita hack knows less than nothing about hacking and the Vita system.

I only want "hacks" to give me the freedom to customize my console for personal reasons but not to the point where it'll affect others. That is why Sony keeps on restricting their systems constantly. Online hackers and pirates tend to ruin everything.

Brother..... I completely agree with you about all these incredibly awful Vita videos people are posting. Really, it makes the real gamers look foolish. I was so excited showing my wife and she literally yawned completely uninterested in the Vita. I felt foolish because of these guys and this is how they're making us look! i think hacking systems is more than occasionally free games. I think of it as unlocking the systems full potential, same for jail breaking phones. Its kinda like buying a car and being told you cant touch anything under the hood. Not going to buy a vita, still have another of Sony's misleading products. PS3: It only does everything, BULL it did more before it was released then now.

No the "VITA" isn't hacked. Only the PSP emulator ist hacked, because of the al ready 1.00-6.60 hacked psp BUT until now, you CANT play psp copied games, because of the left kernel mode, so its only an Homebrew enabler today, and those is really great i think.
