Yeah we noticed these things as we were editing the film like 'damn, this can't be correct xD' but it was too late =)

The problem there is that our weapons are made out of wood, so you dont really get the feeling of holding something 'heavy' you know... That is one of the things that we'll be trying to pay more attention to the next time.

lastly I noticed on you're Thompson the charging handle is on the left of the weapon on a real Thompson the charging handle shell eject port bolt etc was on the right

This is well made, and kuddos to making some good looking weapons. I do have to agree with some other comments here, but I offer them as constructive criticism. Medics, in the European Theater, did not carry weapons, maybe a knife at the most. In the Pacific theatre medics quickly learned that they had to carry something, usually a sidearm. Medics would also not be pointmen on a patrol as CaptHiltz pointed out. Sew the 101st patch higher up near the epauletts, and you're good to go.

rubbish pal, theoretically it was not allowed, but in many cases a medic would use a weapon if he was in danger. In this movie the squad is cut off from their battalion, and then it would simply be dumb not to use a weapon.

Due all respect mate, but just cause you dont find a picture of a weapon carried by a medic doesnt proof they did not carry one. I never found a pic of Hitler jerking behind his desk, even though he probably did. A picture is an evidence, but not a picture is not an evidence that it isn't. According to the geneva convention they were allowed to carry defensive weapons. Besides that, in this film they are surrounded by the enemy. Only a stupid medic would just walk around screaming 'Im a medic^^'

Its pretty good. Your guns look great and all. One thing Medics didn't carry guns. I've looked at and studied real WWII photo's medics didn't carry them. It was done more when fighting against the Japenese because of the brutal fighting methods, but with the Germans no way. Other then that its looking good. There are uniform mistakes but hey its just a movie not many will notice. Great job so far.

American Army, Marine, or Navy corpmen were not authorized to carry weapons in WWII, however, in later conflicts after Vietnam the military began to gear themselves towards arming everyone due to the nature and ferocity of more guerilla style wars. Mostly due to the fact that we began to fight countries who did not adhere to the Geneva Convention (even though Japan did not) regular doctrine did not dictate it until enemy tactics evolved to new levels of violence.

it's not bad acting, and a medic is allowed to carry a weapon, and even if he isnt, rules were not followed in war. Germans shot medics, American shot medics too and thats with reason. Americans had a habit of having a medical ship among their fleet with wounded, so when a U-boat was spotted they simply floated between te Uboat and the rest of the fleet, so the U boat would not have a shot. That's where your rules go. The law says not to kill too...
