  • I vote this is their best song! It comes on hard and heavy and their Dreams came true... Hard to be all time rock with the crap out today... Adele lol

  • Who is the 1 dick

  • I like the live in Germany, this is good studio version thanks\\\

  • Did I really say that? I must have been drunk.

  • best into to any song!

  • This is a rockin tune, one of the best. Swamp Music and Poison Whiskey are great songs, too. The guitar work together from Ed King, Allen Collins and Gary Rossington, those were the days for this band. Ed King is a bad ass on guitar, great tone, phasing and feel.

  • beast

  • this rules

  • glendoras if I did that on my gibson in my apartment building, all of the rap youth thumpers would call me anti- Nigger and call the police. God forbid the plastic generation. OMG. Thanks for your comment.

  • I wanna let you try to cut off my thumb. heehee

  • great memories, thanks great band

  • this was it back in the old days, but you people that think you you were old then??? My ass this song never hit any FM or AM radio station. and sales on original were so slim, never made the market. You idiots are just freebird suckasses and wannabe's

  • Thats awesome! 1 disslike... what a wanker,,,

  • My Mom had second helping on a cassette that I found when I was about 12.Needless to say I never gave it back!! Been hooked on Skynyrd ever since. I remember her asking me if knew what needle and the spoon was about and I had no idea.I thought it was just them singing the nursery rhyme lol.

  • I love Ed's comment about his ending on this great solo: "I just ran my pick across the strings until I hit the low E...then went WHAMMY on it. Too the floor! Back in those days, there was NO recovery from a whammy like that. '66 Strat, bridge pickup, Marshall 100W turned up to 10."

  • I was fortunate enough to see these guys open for The Who. It was the Quadrophinia tour. Let me put it this way. Lynyrd Skynyrd made The Who work very Hard that night. They had to top these guys. They hadn't released Freebird yet. When they played Freebird, it blew everyone away. I was lucky enough to have great seats. 7th row. At the Forum in LA. Everyone around me were slack jawed. The Who had to earn their keep that night. And they did. But LS kicked ass. And this song does too.

  • @sandshark666 I was not there but I have a bud who, back then was a sound engineer and filmed bands...he grew up with the Van Zandt boys. The band was unknown at the time and they were in Atlanta doing a gig when someone talking to someone...blah blah blah...sent a talent scout out to see this band. The scout was from MCA, and signed the band that night..."Workin' For The MCA"

  • @BlacktipRazor Oh, and BTW...as great as Ronnie was, he was defintely about business...and I miss the old Freebyrds...your music still rocks us and lives in our hearts

  • I don't care what anyone says. This here is some real rocknroll. Some of the licks in this song are the greatest ever recorded. This song kicks ass.

  • why the fuck u all got to fight about a skynerd song, god damn, chill the fuck out and enjoy the free music .l..

  • My favorite Skynyrd song. It never gets played on classic rock stations and yet it fucking rocks.

  • @3P4Life

  • fuck i get drunk when i listen to this song

  • you fuckers no knothing about this song

  • Definately heavier shit around, but for the time it was HEAVY!!!

  • Hell Yeah!

  • Damn, that song is heavier than any metal out there today..

  • @djpetenice how? this is classic old rock, you are a dumbass.

  • @adayinlife5796 Gee thanks for passing judgment and calling me a dumbass. You probably still live in mommies basement and still ask her to order a pizza for you now that you're old enough to be alone without a babysitter. My point being that "Workin for MCA" is still heavier is because of the groove, tempo and riff is solid and tight. Something you know nothing about, son. Do some research before if want to shuffle with the big boys, your comment doesn't play well for the camera, Bubba.

  • @djpetenice Come on now, gentlemen, I think we can both agree that Lynyrd Skynyrd is amazing, either way. Sit back and enjoy the ride! :D

  • Probably my all time favorite Skynyrd song. Always opened all their shows with this song followed by "I Ain't the One"

  • They still open it with there current line up
