I was 12 when it first aired on TBS and loved it, i was in love with Callie Briggs as i always had a thing for catgirls since i saw Cleo from Heathcliff and Cheetara from Thundercats back in the 80's.
You know, its a cartoon, some things don't have to make sense, thats part of what makes it fun. Just cause they "conviently" have what they need for the episode in question doesn't make it dumb, but thats just me, its like asking why isn't daffy dead when Bugs Bunny blows him up
please sign the swatkats petition created by fans search it in google swatkats petition atleast 100000 sign is required to bring it back the same way ed eddy bought please inform it to all swatkats fans.
Swat Kats was one of my favorite shows because of one reason. It had a more serious and darker tone than any other cartoons. Like Razor tries to shut down a bomb while falling from the sky. And some people and monsters dies in this show too. There were times I got shocked to see some be killed in ways one only see in action movies, but this did show stuff, like people in subway being killed by a mutant monster.
Every episode was gold of these things. Why would they cancel a good show!

as for the weapons, watch Razor's Edge. Jake HATES hurting anyone, especially if they're innocent. So he specializes in Special Weapons and Tactics (cough* SWAT) for a reason. They are almost all non-lethal. As for the vehicles, the cyclotron is standard. the Turbomole was selected FOR that mission, they watched Ann disappear UNDERGROUND on TV, so they would naturally bring something good for digging. get it? Know what you're talking about before you condemn stuff like that. No offense still..
Swat Kats would have became a classic if it were given more of a chance. It's mind-blowing why it was cancelled because of too much violence considering there are cartoon shows of today that are just as action-packed if not more so(see Teen Titans, Ben 10, Dragonball Z). The fact that there are episodes that were never produced and aired shows that the team wanted to continue the series, but they just couldn't.

Sadly, not all of the episodes were aired. Reruns kept being played. :( I wish a DVD box set would be released...Maybe we can start a petition?
Dude the cover on the red button is just a warning that something badass is coming, just look at every button that covers a little button. Nukes, Bombs, EMP, all sorts of crap. I get where you are coming from but when he flips that lid you know something awesome is coming
