Always nice to see someone cherishing the memory of his mother.Keep on the good work!

  • thnx i had the muchies so bad

  • nice and easy man thanks

  • Wait! "must use juice from a lemon, not from a bottle"? Does that rule still apply?

  • @McPrfctday Yes, use freshly squeezed lemon juice ;)

  • Also I wanted to ask could i use a hand held mixer and not a stand mixer like the one you have?

This recipe is the best i've found, I hope I can make this without a stand mixer

    sorry for your loss

  • @xxxalefxxx You can use an electric hand mixer, but you may need to beat it for longer as hand mixers are usually less powerful than stand mixers. Have fun making the cheesecake :)

  • If you didn't want to make so much could you just half the recipe?

  • @xxxalefxxx That's the first half of a good dieter's joke :D "If you make only half a cake, you can eat twice as much!" lol

  • @McPrfctday haha :p I wish I was looking at it from a diet perspective, i definatly need to :p

theres only three people in my house n if I was to make the full amount we'd be eating it for weeks!

  • is there a replacement for condense milk?

  • wow, thank you SO much! this looks SO delicious :D

plus: I like that you use metric measurements, not cups and so on, since we use the metric system in my country ;)

I have a question though: can I use "philadelphia" cheese for the cream cheese? we don't have typical "cream cheese" here that you can buy in cubes.. :(

oh, and R.i.P. to your mother.. :)

  • @zelberry Actually, it comes in blocks - I just chopped it into cubes. You can use philadelphia cream cheese ;)

  • 2600 like baby, im stoked as, iv never had top comment so thanks:)

and its just sooooo good. thanks for the recipe :)

  • can you still make this with out the lemon?

  • @SpazUno1 No, the lemon is needed for it to set. You'll need a different recipe if you don't want to use lemon ;)

  • @OnePotChefShow aww okay ill probably use this onee cus i really want to make on and this one seems the easiest... Thank youu.

  • my cake wasnt that good it was to fuently but it was delicious i hope that it will be better next time i think the problem was that i didnt use the right cream cheese ... now i know it ;) thanks for the revipe :)

  • Could I use lime juice instead of lemon juice???

  • @chuckiesc619sc Yes, that's fine ;)

  • Thanks for all the Vdos, you make it easy to make!:D

  • Hello! Can I use mascarpone cheese instead the cream chees that you used?

  • Approximately how many biscuits did you use to make the crust chef?

  • @elizabethfourie he is from Australia

  • Favorited this recipe by the way, how many cookies (biscuits) did you use to make the crust approximately?

  • can i put some choco powder? or melted chocolate?

  • From witch country are you Mr. Chef???

  • Absolutely delicious! My husband LOVED it! Thanks for sharing this recipe!

  • Hi Chef!

I divide all of your ingredients in half because I'm only making 5-6 servings of the cake. I've been waiting for nearly five hours now and my cheese topping has not set yet. I've tried to put it in the freezer for about an hour too but it doesn't set very well. Do you have an answer to why this is happening? I add in one large lemon. Is the cake not setting because I haven't added in enough lemon? Thank you!

  • @mybrotherstolemypen There's no way to be sure. The topping will be soft but hold it's shape when set. If it's still liquid, chances are you need more lemon juice, or the mixture wasn't beaten for long enough ;)

  • Do you place the cheesecake in the top or bottom fridge? :)

  • thank you. finally, a cake that doesn't need an oven.

  • no sirve

  • your stuff is so freaking amazing.. yumm... cant wait to try all these yummy things.. and your such a good cook.. and when its easy to make .. when u have to many ppl.. or kids.. and its fast

  • no entender ingles...jajjajaj

  • How many servings can this cake be?

  • @cutegal354 This is a large, party sized cake - it serves 10 - 12 people ;)

  • hello love the video but i have a problem i live in skandinavia and we dont have the milk her is it just like cream milk or not plz help me out i love lemon so i be making it and thinking of your mom ...

  • @loli79100

In Sweden you can find condensed milk (kondenserad mjölk) in most supermarkets. If you live in a bigger city you can find it in English shops, Greys or even the Asian stores.

  • I'm trying to make this no-bake cheesecake but i'm not so sure if the cheesecake is in its right consistency. I think the cond.milk and cream cheese mixture is a little less thick than it should be and i think i just over mixed it. =| will it still sit?

  • @chazziechill You can't really over mix it. It should be thick, but still liquid when pouring it onto the base ;)

  • @OnePotChefShow Thank you! I finally made one. Love the recipe! Btw, you're so nice for replying on comments on you tube. :))

  • There's nestle condensed milk

  • cutest chef everrrr...!

  • can i use something else instead of Condensed Milk?

  • great vid man thx for the recipe, one love for your mom

  • Comment removed

  • What kind of lemon juice you used? Can i just buy it from any convenient stores?? :)

  • @cutegal354 Freshly squeezed lemon juice (out of a lemon) is best ;)

  • @OnePotChefShow Thank you so much for replying! Gonna try making this soon!

  • Made this cake for my nieses fifth birthday today. It's in the fridge now, but I guess no-one is gonna taste it cause I messed it up. Impossible to find Sweetened condensed milk here so can I use regular condenced milk and just add sugar? I tried that now. And I used a electrical hand mixer, but it didn't combine everything as good as yours. It's kinda watery if you know what I mean.. Suggestions untill next time I make one?

  • why haven't i made this cake yet!!! oh right bcz i love chocolate... hey, mb i'll add melted chocolate to this thing :) yay

  • I dint even dare to think abt making a cake without oven...i tried making it n the batter tatse amazing...now itz in freezer to set for 3-4 hrs..thnkz for the recipe..

  • Absolutely love this recipie thank you for sharing!!! I know that from now on this will be my go to dessert!!

  • Where are the eggs? Oh its a non-cooking version! Sorry that you lost your mum.

  • THANKS for the recipe, it was really easy and deliciuos! :)

  • What are the biscuits called?

  • @NeoNNatioNSniping You can use "Graham Crackers", Digestives, Milk Arrowroot or any plain sweet cookies you like ;)

  • so easy, thanks looks yumm

  • Sorry for your loss.

btw can we use one of those special cake dish things..uhm with the glass bottom and the side "opens up" haha ?

    gonna try this out :P

  • @cleverjellybean You can use a standard "springform" cake tin (the one where the bottom comes out) - just reduce all ingredients by half ;)

  • Can you mix the cream cheese and condensed milk by hand or will it only work with a mixer?

  • @Xrox122 You need to use a mixer to get the right consistency ;)

  • Can I do this in a food processor ?

  • wow this is an interesting recipe! it reminds me a bir of the japanese rare cheescake (but your version sounds much easier!) i have to try this! oh and btw i love the video! somehow had to laugh when you put the cream cheese and condensed milk in haha i really enjoyed it :)

  • I'm so sorry

  • I absolutely love all of your recipes. thank you so much for posting stuff on the internet. I'm so sorry to hear about your mom. I love your cooking. God bless

  • you're awesome!

  • thank you so much!! you about the only person on you tube that doesnt cook it at all -_- but if you wanted to make normal cheese cake or maybe put a strawberry sauce on top would tou do the same cream cheese bit but dont put the lemon juice in?? oh and i hope your ok about your mum

  • umm is the batter suppose to have lumps or should it be smooth?

  • @tashamissmurder I like to leave a few lumps in the batter, but additional beating will make it smooth without affecting the final result ;)

  • just to clear things up, ur gay right?

  • @Oceanmanta Is that an offer? Or do you think sexuality plays a part in the recipe?

  • American suggestions for the crust: Gram crackers, Nilla Wafers or Ginger Snaps! I know I most often use gram crackers for cheese cake but I enjoy ginger snaps as well :)

  • hmm..srry i din't hear dat prperly 200 grms of wat?

  • @sasadafudluva Ingredients are in the video description below the video ;)

  • Looks good

  • can i use a blender instead of the mixer?

  • @alana3085 No, a blender won't be powerful enough. You really need to use a mixer ;)

  • Love this :3

  • looks awesome

  • It looks so yummy, I'm definitely gonna try this recipe out (: your mom must've been a wonderful cook ^_^

  • Hola!.. La galleta se pone al fuego???... no hablo ingles :(

  • Hi I recently watched this vid I went to grocery stores to find the type of cookie you have used. But didn't find it is there any other cookies I could use.

Like oatmeal cookies or those Maria cookies.

If you have suggest please tell!

  • @FlaMeSGS Any kind of plain sweet cookie will do. If you are in the US, Graham Crackers are ideal ;)

  • the gooey milk is called condensed milk...

  • Comment removed

  • thank you so much ;)

  • Rest in Peace, mama OnePotChef

  • Such a classy gentleman.

  • What are the dimensions of your baking pan ?

  • Next cake i would add 2 teaspoon of Vanilla and substitute 1 can of condense milk with evaporated milk. Make a glaze topping with Caramelize lemon Zest in gelatin (agar agar) pour and chilled. Can't wait!!! Thank you Onepotchef this is the best cheese cake I've had!!! Didn't want to sub the condense milk but I have to watch our sugar. Do you think this can set?

  • Yumeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • Cheesecake and lemon, dammit, my mouth's watering

  • THANK YOU...THANK YOU...THANK YOU....I love cheese cakes....and my first try using your recipe was awesome. My housemates loved it too.

love you...and my prayers to your mom....

  • @OnePotChefShow Biscuits are basically like graham crackers. You can buy them whole, already crushed or already mixed and in a pie mold. :)

  • My condolences-and I know I'm saying this 3 years late, but I do respect you for honoring her is this way-doing what you love by making something she loved... :)

  • your mother must have been a great chef!! because that looks like a mean cheesecake!! sorry bout you mum though :(

  • this cheese cake is so cool cheers Bro Try it with heaps of different toppings.

  • Hey there, I just have one question: I find the cheese mixture too sweet for me :( would the consistency (and the over-all taste) of the mixture change if I lessen the condensed milk or add more of the cream cheese?

    Thanks!

  • I think i would try this out the coming saturday:) But you should have scrape the milk out of the can(it is not soooo bad) it was much left:)

  • This recipe is really great guy's, I also found it quite easy to make, but couldn't you add sugar to the creamed cheese mixture because it was quite sour.

  • GRAHAM CRACKERS. (:

  • Hey there! Me and my brother are making this for our mom's birthday, but I'm afraid that the cheese cake might break while we take it out of the...bowl...thing...sorry...i'm new to baking. PLEASE REPLY ASAP...THANK YOU!!! The cake looks delicious!

  • @5p3wdudz sorry..also, is there a possibility to make it smaller?

  • @5p3wdudz yeah i make a similar one with 2 packets of cream cheese (500gms) and 1 can of condensed milk, goes into a 22cm springform tin

  • I'm so sry for your mom to die

  • hi, may i know how low does the fridge's temperature has to be, in order for the cheese cake to be formed?

  • @oberonandtitania I have no idea what temperature, as long as it's in the fridge (not the freezer) you shouldn't have a problem ;)

  • @oberonandtitania rofl most retarded question ive have ever seen ^^

  • Thankyou so much for the simple recipe..:-)...i am an Indian and i have started to love cooking cakes because of this recipe that u hav posted.!..Great recipe..keep us posted wid such nice videos..we love them..!!..

  • i probably gained 10 pounds from recipie because its so flipping GOOD!

  • Comment removed

  • i like the recepieeeeee....

  • Can i add vanilla extract along side with lemon juice? and can i add lemon zest for texture?

  • @AnimeFanApril Yes, you can add lemon zest if you like. I'm not sure about the vanilla though, as it may clash a bit with the lemon ;)

  • @OnePotChefShow I agree :)

  • @OnePotChefShow vanilla extract works well but just a dash.

  • @AnimeFanApril you can :) doesnt taste much different! lemon is sour and the cream cheese anyways is a lil sour soo yeah :D

  • @MaudeJ Made half with zest and half without, The Vanilla adds a little vanilla sense (very subtle.) I wouldn't add zest, you get texture, but you lose the creaminess. And let me tell you, the other half of the cheese cake is so oh my gosh creamy, the minute I gain my awareness; only have of the cake is left. (Zest half LoL) but that didn't last long either.

  • I followed your instructions perfectly but why the cheesecake still wont set after 24 hours in the fridge? My sister told me I should have put in gelatin but it isn't in the ingredient..

  • McVitie's Digestive wheat biscuits work great for the base. Plus, they're available pretty much all over the world, aren't they?

  • im so flippin hungry now

  • great video:)!

  • Hi, love the recipe by the way:) but was wondering what cream cheese you used? and could i use phillidelphia :P . Thanks

  • @TheMissJigglypuff Yes, Philadelphia would be fine ;)

  • I tried this recipe.....and it's the best thing ever..... I really, really loved it! Happy New Year!!!!

  • u seem like a great guy = )

  • The cheesecake is delicious!! :)

  • Thanks for the cheese cake sir :)

  • can i use vanilla extract instead of lemon juice ?

  • @mysticangle98 No, you must use lemon juice for this recipe, or the cheesecake won't set ;)
