I like the Boat but the moth is still the better

That looks like serious fun! the prices I have seen so far are a bit more attainable when compared to the Moths etc.
How much water do the foils draw? I have a lot of kelp to deal with where I sail but there is one clear area where I could launch.

I'd have liked to see him gybe wire-to-wire without coming off the foils.

im sorry but an international moth is a much better design

@Theef3kw
"A much better design..." For what? Your statement is meaningless unless you define what the design is intended for.

@SailJuice ok a new moth can go 30 knots and an rs 600 can go 20....and the moth is constantly being modified unlike this
As a fat bastard at 100kg a moth a slightly out of my reach. I would be interested in understanding where and when the RS600FF would be made commercially available.

Hydro foils - Like a wing under the water - provides hydrodynamic lift. You can see them at 3:20.

How do you get the daggerboard out??

The wave sensor - does that adjust the angle of the foils? I.E - is it electronic?
Antonz4 3 years ago
There is a bow wand which is mechanically linked to the central foil, so yes, it does adjust the angle of the foils but, no, it's not electronic...
SailJuice 3 years ago
Right I see so that requires the wave to actually touch the wand for there to be an adjustment I take it....
I'd buy one but 1. I don't have the money and 2. I'm probably not quite heavy enough to balance it.
If you tried it you'd love it so much that 1. you'd find the money and 2. you'd get heavier... ;)
Yeah probably.... I gather RS are taking some interest, the RS600FF section on their website is "Coming soon". That could be interesting....
@SailJuice
I bet it works much smother, but I think I would prefer a "manual".
Still, very nice boat. I envy you :)

Insane, were did you get the foils and how much mods did the 600 need to get this working? What did LDC say?

They are about £2500. You get them from the name at the start of the video.
