  • very nice. i guess the coloring on the blade came from its heat treat, but i really like how it accents the overall design of the knife. the sheath really is a beauty. thanks for sharing.

  • Chos, I thought you would like to know its pronounced ( ha- moan ) & this knife is made in the style of Japan. I think it would be a type of aikiuchi which was used as a kind of all purpose blade. Not 100% sure that it fits the aikiuchi size ,but it's close. Aloha

  • hamon. its a japenese thing. most know for uses on katana's. basically it hardens the and tempers the edge and helps leave the spine softer i believe
