  • just saw the movie, sad that this accident happened. and it is so strange that in the movie, the crow, eric craven, was killed shortly before his marriage, just like brandon lee, who wanted to marriage three weeks after the movie would have been completete. by the way, the making of with the interview of the creator of the comic was also very, very good. It was also on the DVD, maybe it was a special edition.

  • So sad. I'm the same age as Brandon and we both lost our fathers (also born the same year - 1940) at age 8. It really hit me when Brandon died, how precious life is and I tried to raise my own child who is half-Caucasian and half-native American with the values he espoused to love and honour each day as a gift. I

I also feel for Mr. Massee. What a thing to have to live with. He is courageous for even discussing the incident at all.

  • I don't understand how this can happen but I'm sure it was an accident and it was a completely tragic thing that happened to Brandon.

  • Come on you can't possibly hold it against Massee. Obviously we're all gutted to lose Brandon but it is wrong to blame Michael Massee

  • the person who should be blamed should be the director he was the one who changed the scene and none of the guns were checked befor they were being used

  • This was a mistake but Michael Massee should never have been firing a gun at close blank ranger at any actor. A "blank" is still dangerous. That's where he was at fault. However, what caused the death was the "blank" plus the head of a "dummy bullet" that was accidently left in the barrel of the gun. A dummy bullet is used on closeups when a gun is being loaded. A blank is a bullet without the head. Together, it becomes an actual bullet.

  • I feel sorry for Massee.. He feels somewhat guilty for what happened (even though he acknowledges it was an accident, you can hear it in his voice) with Brandon Lee, and it took a terrible toll.

  • did anyfin happen, did end up gettin arrested or somfin durin den

  • I dont think he was geniunely devestated. And he definitely did not take a year off. The following year he did 6-7 roles. Including one memorable role in se7en. And it seems strange to just talk about after all these years and sort of exploit it to help promote his new role in a show he's in by getting that attention.

  • You need to do your homework. Se7en wasn't filmed until years later.

  • a friend of mine is an effects guy in film. he got the firsthand account from the lead armorer on "the crow", which he subsequently related to me. his perspective on the matter is unbiased and illuminated. setting aside the details of events that led to brandon lee's death, i can relate that fault does not lie in any one person's oversight, but rather a series of errors and oversights, and while preventable, was most tragically accidental. it is certainly NOT michael massee's fault .

  • Someone should have been charged (the director? The producer? Whomever was responsible for safety?) and gone to jail. What a loss...the guy has so much going for him and was just beginning to blossom. RIP Brandon...you and your father inspire me to this day.

  • R.I.P Brandon Lee

  • was anyone held accountable for Lee's death?

  • Nope it was ruled an accident

  • Thank you for approving comments before they are posted. The only reason needed for this is it helps everyone's intelligence (granted a sound-minded moderator exists like yourself!). I wish more people did this!

  • I feel so sorry for Michael.

I wouldn't know how to handle such an accident.

    R.I.P. Brandon

  • you know this kinda of thing happens many times . many people are killed by foul ups in the real world and noone ever is held accountable

  • did michael massee go to jail after accidentally killing brandon lee

  • Raivi117 - No one was charged with a felony over his death, due to the accident that was caused by many did not meet the requirements of a felony. The accident was caused by a breach of OH & S issues being violated by upper management and unqualified staff being put in jobs they could not do. No one was trying to hurt Brandon in particular, it was just the unlucky of the circumstance that he was killed.

  • does nobody else find it strange that he's 'never spoke about it before' but now as he has a new show out ,decides to talk about something that can generate a shed load of press?

  • Yes, I find it very strange too... They all kept Brandon's death causes secret. No one really knows what really happened... I don't know if any other actor of the cast has ever talked about Brandon's death and if is there any information about the scenes which are supposed to be played by stuntmen... Now I'll make a research on youtube......

  • Lunagothika, No one kept Brandon's death or its causes secret, some people just have never been able to accept the truth. The truth was published at the time and is widely available now online but you have to be open minded enough to read it. And most gun shooting scenes especially ones with just a single weapon are USUALLY performed by actors not stuntmen. The scene he died in had no stunts in it. It was a horrible mistake that was caused by bad working conditions.

  • Cut the guy a break. He has to live with the guilt for something he didn't cause. This man did nothing wrong. The special effects guy fucked up. But he pulled the trigger. All he'll rememver is him pulling the trigger.

Michael Massee answered the questions but he's obviously not comfortable he's being asked them. His lack of emotion is restraint. How can you lot judge this man.

His focus is obviously to not breakdown on TV.

  • It wasn't live ammo, it was a dummy bullet that was not cleaned from the revolver from an earlier scene. That with the firing of the blanks for the actual scene is what killed Brandon. And how much more do you expect from Massee really? The man was distraught after Brandon died. He almost didn't go back to work on the movie. He received hate mail and death threats, and all he did was HIS job. He was not responsible for cleaning the gun, the prop dept was.

  • Thanks, Lizj. That is exactly what did occur. And thanks for also pointing out that it wasn't live ammo that killed Brandon. Brandon was NOT killed by a live bullet. Ballistic reports confirmed this.

  • It sucks the fact that this guy has to live with the fact that he accidentally pulled the trigger of the gun that killed Brandon Lee. I don't blame the guy, but instead I blame the studio for negligence. This accident was something that shouldn't had happen. We lost such a big talent for a stupid mistake.

  • Poor Michael, must be hard to deal with that... Glad to see he is succeedin´ in his carreer tough.

  • I am shocked at the complete lack of humanity or shred of emotion displayed by this guy when he talks about the "tragedy". He was a cavalier as if he were talking about going to the bakery for a loaf! 0.o Somehow I expect a lot more caring from him. After all, he IS an actor.

  • I can't watch The Crow without getting upset, such a terrible tragedy and how no one has been held responsible for what happened is even worse, all they had to do was clean and check the guns.. sheer laziness brought his life to an end.

  • Im pretty sure Brandon would not blame Michael for this accident, it was down to the person responsible for the firearms and creating dummy rounds, a squib load was stuck in the chamber from a previous scene in which the gun was used, A squib is deadly at close range, but not at far range, however this should have been checked instead of cutting back for the sake of $100. Its not Michaels fault in any way shape or form and im sure Brandon hold no grudge. from one Crow and Brandon fan RIP

  • Michael Massee played funboy

  • Who was responsible for the fire arms on the set? They should never work again.

  • at least he's able to move on but he still thinks abotu it

  • i wonder how he feels when he sees The Crow shirts and posters out there.

  • Not to be a dick, but there's no such thing as an "accident" when it applies to firearms. It's easy to blame Brandon Lee's death on a convenience target--the gun--when in reality it was simple, utterly preventable negligence. 10 seconds of consultation with someone who knows a little bit about guns would have stopped the whole thing in it's tracks and saved Brandon's life. But I guess it's easier to just say the gun went crazy and nobody's to blame.

  • I totally agree. Forced perspectives through camera angles could have made it safe (director's decision?)to the point where firing the gun and hitting the target can be shot seperately. Plus firearms on set can be made safe by even using mock weapons that don't actually fire, with a combination of acting abilty and special effects convincing the viewers of realism (director's or producer's decision?). Finally, even a deactivated firearm can still be deadly if faulty (armourer's responsibilty?).

  • No one claimed the gun went "crazy". A lead bullet was lodged into the barrel a few days before. The shock from a blank propelled the bullet into Lee.

  • how could this happen? All Ive ever heard is that a "faulty prop went off". Does anyone have anything more specific than that?

  • go to Wikipedia and look up Brandon Lee...it has details of what happened during the accident. It was negligence by the crew trying to cut cost and end up with Lee dead.

  • It's not exactly a faulty prop so much as pure neglagince. There should have never been live ammo on the set in the first place.

  • It wasn't "live ammo" per se.. it was a faulty blank. Read about how blank rounds (are supposed to) work and maybe you'll understand why they're still dangerous.

  • I think it was a dummy cartridge rather than a blank. A blank is built not to fire, a dummy is a real bullet which has been modified not fire (basically by taking the gunpowder out). Basically the crew were trying to cut corners by using dummies, which at close rage can still be lethal.

Didnt it have something to do with a test round getting lodged in the barrel and then accidentally discharged during the scene?

  • You have got it mostly right, Dire. Only the dummy bullets were made from live ammo that had the gunpower removed. Dummy shots are done by the second unit and do not involve actors only camera filming the gun. Then the gun has its dummies removed and reloaded with blanks. The gun should have been cleaned first, because if they did they would of seen one of the tip of dummies still lodged in the gun. A small power from the primer was in the barrel that connected with the blank on fire.

  • i wish life didn't ever have the death factor in it,

it's just sad all the way around

  • What a horrible thing that happened though it was destined to have happened RIP Brandon.

  • its true, in order for him to fullfill his legacy, he was to die playing the most incredible character he ever played.....brandon lee, forever inmortal in our hearts...

  • Wow!!! No matter what anyone says or believes, I don't think that it was his fault at all. It was as he said, "It was a tragic accident..." it's the truth, IT WAS! I personally think it's great that he's finally put that behind him and is working again. I give Michael kudos for doing that.

  • Massee was also the "teller" for the underground prostitution joint in the film Se7en in 95'

i've always liked his acting, but i was surprised cuz just found out today -exactly- what happened with brandon lee's death, i knew about the accidental shooting but not the how/who. can't imagine how hard it's been for him living with it. good to see him in shows again! i was thrilled when i saw him in the preview for revalations, sadly never caught the show due to my schedual tho, is it still on air?

  • Brandon Lee and his father were both great losses. It's sad this man has to live with this and I wish him courage in dealing with it.

  • I agree with you totally. I can't even imagine what it would be like having this on your conscience. R.I.P. Brandon Lee.

  • Even though it's in no way his fault, that must be a tough thing to live with. Glad to see he's back and succeeding in his career.

  • I'm glad that he came back. I can only imagine the guilt he must've felt.

  • Sadly the media is making Michael out to being a bad guy. Hate it that he is going to have the media down his poor throat. Took a lot of guts and courage to talk about this.

  • Poor guy! Even with the tragic death of Brandon Lees this is a great movie.

  • I feel bad for the guy. That would be tremendously hard to live with something like that. Especially knowing that it wasn't really even your fault.

Brandon's death certainly gave Eric Draven that extra creepy factor when watching the movie just the same as Heath Ledger in The Dark Knight.

The Crow is such a classic movie though.

  • it seems as i read every word in here is bout bullet shells. but not to piont finger but yea i true believed it was the team or person that is responsible for the shooting scene is quite didnt do theyre job carefull enough but yea i guess people do make wrong descision at fast pace jobs but yea i feel sorry for dude who shot brandon and brandon himself in this tragic

  • I cant imagine what must of gone through his head when he realized what just happened. Horrible horrible horrible but it was obviously an accident.

  • Working as a Stunt Coordinator can be a high stress deal. I do NOT think it is the S.C. fault at all... I do think the production company is at fault... Low budget sucks. (I know it was not low budget) but they were cutting corners.

  • This is so sad, Brandon Lee was a great man.

    RIP.

  • Rest in peace, Brandon! and to Massee respect!

  • This was an accident, he's not guilty about anything, may Brandon rest in peace.

  • Still unbelievely sad. I felt a connection to Brandon since we both lost our father at a young age. And that my Dad loved Bruce Lee.

I hope they are all resting in peace.

  • Brandon was an excellent actor and he should be remembered for the way he lived not died. This also applies to Bruce also.

  • i feel so bad for michael, he is a better man then me, then man accidently killed a man, and didnt drink him self to death or commit suicide, that is mind blowing, i dont think i would be able to look at my self in the mirror anymore knowing i killed a man, let alone a friend, just to sad

  • Absolutely. Even though it was an accident there's no way I could've lived with that if I were in his shoes. It's something that Michael has to live with, which is said, because it wasn't his fault that someone decided to get lazy and not take safety measures.

  • The person who is actually responsible for that horrible accident is Jeff Imada who was the weapons handler for that movie. Not only was he personal friends with Brandon,he is also a martial arts master and a firearms specialist.Quite simply,he screwed up in his judgement keeping real tips in the revolver for close ups and shell blanks when actually fired. One tip stayed in the gun, blanks were inserted and Brandon had a half dollar hole blown into him fom the front going in as deep as his spine.

  • It was not Jeff Imada's fault. It is NOT the responsibility of a Stunt Coordinator to clean, maintain or manage a fire arm on set. That is the job of the fire arms armourer on the set, and which all sets are require if they are obeying by the safety regulations. They let the armourer go, and then put two inexperienced non-union guys who were ignorant about what the job entailed. It was not Jeff's fault, he did everything he could (including telling Massee not to fire directly at Brandon).

  • There were several safety concerns on the set, was sell as other accidents resulting in injuries which were not made public. I worked on a Atlanta movie shoot with some of the guys involved with The Crow project and they said very few safety measures were in place, due to cutting corners in production costs. It was a bad set to be working even before Lee was killed.

  • brandon lee would have forgiven him it was by accident he didnt really mean to shoot brandon.

  • You know I don't think anyone can blame the guy.

I mean I as much as every other Crow fan and Brandon Lee fan for that hates the fact he was taken from us but Michael like the other guy said is just as much as a victim as Brandon. This type of thing however could have saved more lives due to the fact that stunts like this are now more carefully watched over.

  • I agree. Also the makers of this movie could have avoided this accident if they're dumbasses(no offense) put the shell in the mag only then this would have never happened.Well this is in a list of a lot of accidents during film making and personally one that I will never forget.

  • Both the prop master, assistant and the special effects master (who were put in charge of the weapon they knew nothing about or had any knowledge about) were at fault. They did use dummy rounds previously (on another day) but they were self-made by this non-union crew to save money. Then they didn't clean the weapon (which they were required to do after every use), then when it was decided at the last moment to shot Eric, so they loaded it with blanks. There was never a real bullet in the gun.

  • yeah, I saw a show ( I think it was unsolved mysteries) that said the gun was fired with blanks in another scene and the card board type tip (in the blank) came loose and was lodged in the barrel of the gun .... the gun wasn't cleaned or checked properly and the next time it was fired the "blank peice" in the barrel acted like a bullet and killed Brandon.

  • massee is really like the secondary victim of the crew's negligence

  • you now waht wane i saw this it real get me upset i maen how can he sity there and tacke about Brandon. let me tell you somting i hate him he took Brandon way from us. he has got wife a life a home what has Brandon got anything!

  • Not everything is so black and white, Zobiaakhtar. Michael never meant to injure, hurt or kill Brandon - but he still could of not fired the weapon at him. And he has to live with that ALL OF HIS LIFE. There were far more people responsible than him, though.Yes, he has a life and a wife, while Brandon died 18 days before his pending marriage, but sometimes shit happens. Brandon's fiancee, family and friends will forever have a void in their lives because of this stupid accident.

  • hi lisen i nrever want to upset anyone that how i felt whan i saw this vide but looking at agine my be i was to storg soory

  • Take a step back bro. How would you feel if you looked in your own eyes every morning in the mirror and knew you killed Brandon (or anyone else for that matter)? He carries scars we cannot fathom and he has more right to talk about Brandon than you or I. Peace, bro, peace.

  • You're totally right, dude. There was no malice in what Massee did, it was simply an accident. A tragic accident that could have been averted. Massee did his job as an actor, it wasn't his responsibility to prepare the gun for the scene. If Brandon's family can move on from this I can't understand why a load of people who never even met him can't!

  • Your totally right man.

  • The fact that Michael is able to live with himself and actually talk about that horrible incident shows that he is a much stronger man than you or I will ever be. Show some respect!

  • Sam, I had seen this before as I told you in our talks..see brings tears to my eyes..there is no excuse for what happened to Brandon..we lost him forever because of stupid people not doing what

    should of been done..

    Elaine

  • Wow, thanks alot for putting this up!

  • how awful

  • Nobody could ever get over an accident like that.

:[ I feel bad for both him and brandon in this situation. Imagine how he feels?

  • That is so sad.But im still angry with this situation.

  • Michael had nothing to do with it. The actor is also responsible to the director and the crew, who are there to oversee all. No actor thinks they're firing real rounds. Nor would they.

  • Well, he did have something to do with it - he fired the weapon. Jeff Imada (stunt coordinator) did instruct Michael to NOT fire directly at Brandon's body, but in the heat of the moment it went horribly wrong and he did.

There was obviously some miscommunication happening somewhere, but Daniel Kutner is the one chiefly who is to blame for Brandon's death.

  • "But from what I read they "let go" the prop master the day before he died which is complete bs because when they still had the death scene to shoot."

To whoever said this - you are wrong. They DID let the propmaster go and the assistant propmaster, Daniel Kuttner, took over. They let the main propmaster go to save money and in the end, they only saved a measly $100. Daniel used live rounds instead of cleaning the gun, but he has since then lost his licence & can't work on film sets again.

  • Originally, Eric was not going to shot in the scene which is why they had let the gun safety advisor go. At the last moment they changed their mind, and it was decided that Brandon would be shot.

  • Yep, I remember that. It's funny to think what would've happened had they left the scene alone.

I wonder if Alex ever had any regrets about that.

  • It was a big shock for him too...He will always feel bad for this cause it was a tragic accident...

  • I think that if Brandon could come back for one day, he would forgive Micheal for what he did. It was an accident, it wasn't his fault!

  • he can't replace it anymore..it's already done.

    RIP Brandon,i love you

  • The death of Brandon Lee was the fault of the filmmakers that have ill knowledge of guns on set. No on else is to blame for it. If the filmmakers were smart enough to spend their money on dummy rounds rather than saving it to create them out of real bullets, then Brandon would still be alive today. It's time to move on. May he rest in peace. Michael, find peace. It's not your fault.

  • michael massee is still responsible for Brandon Lee's death

  • Why? WHY??!! WHYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!?????

  • it's too bad Brandon passed

ther coulda been a good movie today with him in it.

  • It's good that he moved on.

It's even worse for him- He's the one that's gonna be remembered as the actor who killed Brandon Lee. Could you not amagine how hard for him it must be?`

It was a true shame, Brandon was on his way to stardom. Well he was a true star!

  • whoever thinks that brandon was shot and killed on purpose is wrong because it was an accident. so, dear people, get over it because it already happened....i know its tragic and all i mean i love brandon lee but nothing can really be changed now can it. and stop blaming massee, jesus f christ.

    RIP brandon<3 always

  • R.I.P BRANDON LEE

  • I just question why he shot him where he did... Shouldn't he have aimed for a different spot? I mean, if I was in his place, I wouldn't have aimed at his abdomen - I would've tried to shoot elsewhere, like his arm or something just in case something freaky would happen. I have a hard time with the fact that Brandon was shot where he was because the torso always needs to be protected the most. The accident really could've been avoided. It's tragic to this day and always will be.

    RIP Brandon

  • He was instructed by Jeff Imada(Stunt coordinator) to not directly aim at Brandon, but for whatever reason Michael got caught up in the moment and shot directly at Brandon.

  • how sad is that?? Jeff was Brandon's best friend. I have hated Michael for years... I do believe in forgiveness, but to what degree? Had he listened...Brandon would be kicking so much ass!

  • I don't think there's much reason to hate Massee because it was simply an accident. Personally, I think Brandon would forgive him.

  • I am sure Brandon woud have forgiven him. Somewhere he probably does.I have read that Brandon was a kind and gentle soul.

  • It wasn't just Michael's fault. Had the gun been cleaned as it was suppose to, and they had not saved money by making their own dummy rounds, or had let the weapons specialist go to save $300, then it would not have killed him. Even if Massee had aimed at him, he probably would have been a bit stunned, maybe slightly injured but it would not have killed him. Daniel Kuttner and Bruce Merlin were almost criminally stupid in this matter. They knew what had to be done, but they got lazy and forgot.

  • I understand... but a lot of us are just venting.Massee was on the other side of the gun, pulling the trigger. Yes shit happens, we all know that, but, it doesnt make it any less tragic.

  • Incredible both Father and son both die so bizarely

  • And so young. So sad.

  • Real easy to say it's Massee's fault and all, but in the grand scheme of things it's the fault of the filmmakers; specifically the director, the producers and the prop guys for having live rounds on a set and making dummies out of them, in order to save time and money.

  • It is Michael Massee's fault that Brandon Lee is dead because Michael Massee was the one who had the gun in his hand and Michael Massee is the one who shot and killed Brandon Lee.

  • Random Thought: Do you think the director would have something to do with his death? hmmm. I'm not trying to go against anyone's thoughts or opinions. just MY thoughts.

  • yeah thats pretty messed up man but your really cant blame the guy who fired the gun he has no idea what happened and im sure that kind of thing would mess with your head for a long while

  • I hope Michael Massee Burns In Hell for killing Brandon Lee.

  • Don't be so ridiculous. It was an ACCIDENT. Do you honestly believe that Michael was responsible for preparing the gun and the squibs for that particular scene? Of course he wasn't. He's an actor therefore has nothing to do with the co-ordination of stunts!! It was a tragic accident. The crew gave him a gun and told him to point it at Brandon and shoot. All stunts are inherantly dangerous. Besides, what right do you have to bitch about him? Were you related to Brandon? I think not. Grow up!!!

  • Fuck "Extra". Something this personal deserves to be treated with more respect & dignity. Stop cutting away and having the host's voice pop up. Cut the peppy fucking music. Put the camera on Massee's face & LEAVE IT THERE as he tells the whole story.

    Douchebags.

  • that absolutely wasn't supposed to happen...well,duh.

  • There's a whole conspiracy theory surrounding Brandon's death, so it's not a redundant statement for him to make. There are some who continue to believe his death was the result of foul play, when all evidence points to it being a tragic accident.

  • True, I don't like to believe that there was any foul play in Brandon's death, but just as an interesting bit of information to you, A detective tried to recreate what happened with the gun and when he fired, the slug, accelerated only a few feet before hitting the ground.

  • thats sad accident is accident damn did they check the gun they should do double check first tsk.. omg did they use a real gun the movie -_- i hate those guy who give a gun in the actor they should check it first tsktsk..

  • Wow i never knew it was the actor that played

funboy that accidently killed brandon. things

were pretty hush hush around the time of his

death. all these years i asumed it was eric

draven's death scence that the accident happend because they had to reshoot that seen

    after brandon's passing.

  • I miss brandon and he died when i was one.

  • Bruce and Brandon Lee lives on..............

  • Amen to that

  • i dont think its fair that they blame michael massee, its not his fault its the prop managers fault.

  • totally agree

  • Its obvious that there was complete negligence from the producers & director of this film as nobody has the clip anymore of his actual death at the rape scene from Micahel Massey shooting Lee. Its ironic its that scene when hes alive in movie not when he plays the shade already dead but when he dies from being human. now thats irony.

  • aww that's so sad...

    r.i.p brandon lee

  • i heard alot about this mysterious shotting accident but i never knew what and how it happended but u cannot blame an actor for un unsafe accessory like a gun that was suppose to be set safe for scene use. he shure feels enough bad about it, it can haunt you for life.

  • I agree with u all about the senseless death of Brandon Lee, he was such a gifted actor and wud have been huge star 2day. I hate those tight ars producers!!! :( I suppose 2 them a person's life is meanless.

  • Maybe I am wrong to point fingers at Alex Proyas but I feel he is the one that is in charge. But I also realize that producers have a say too. However the thing that bugs me the most is Ed Pressmen(Producer) signed a three picture movie deal with Brandon Lee and then when he died I think it was Jeff Most (another producer) who said there was going to be a different guy playing "the crow" in every movie. Just to more or less to make more money. Please don't quote me on that I could be wrong.

  • Brandon Lee's death will always be a what if matter. What if the gun had been cleaned, what if the director had left the scene in which tin-tin was to first throw the knife into him, etc. But from what I read they "let go" the prop master the day before he died which is complete bs because when they still had the death scene to shoot. However I believe its Alex Proyas fault and his alone. By cutting cost he cut a life short plain and simple.

  • Shocking that this could happen on set. It must still haunt him.

    RIP Brandon.

  • I don't think it was Massee's fault at all. The prop master dry-fired the weapon and never bothered to clear it when the shooting scene happened. The director and actors have enough to worry about, it's not their job to clear every weapon, it's the prop master's.

  • It wasnt his fault..the stupid crew member who couldnt spare 5 minutes off his life to check the gun//instead the person completely ended an innocent life. R.I.P Brandon.xxxx I wonder what he would be doing now if this didn't happen.

  • Brandon would probably be the biggest asian-american movie star today if he wasn't dead.

  • I agree with you- I have always believed he would have gotten the lead in Speed over Keanu if he hadn't died.

  • yknow granit that this happened and it was supposed to be an accident, i just think its totally irresponsible of everything one that was in that movie. by everyone i mean the director, the stunt crew and michael massee. they should have double and triple checked everything that would cause an "accident" but yet they wanted to rush things and what not and look what happened. so in my opinion they all are murderers for not taking the right safety percassions.

  • wrong, director and actor are not firearm specialists.

  • I really enjoy Michael's screen appearances. And his smile. I love his smile.

  • i feel so sorry for michael...i cant imagine how he feels after all these years...it was a terrible accident and i hope that everyone dosnt blame him for it...

  • i agree with you

  • I was just thinking the same and the sad part is that there are a lot of people who actually do blame him for Lee's death when it wasn't his fault. Poor guy. Something like that must be hard to live with even years later.

  • oh sh*t i didn't know that was him.

  • i loved the performance from all in that movie those two especially, brandon was the best crow actor by a mile, feel very sorry for massee

  • So sad that Brandon died because of this stupid accident.

  • I remember hearing about this right before The Crow came out. They had to film the rest of the movie with his head placed on the stunt doubles body.

  • A directors job is to change scenes to his or her liking. How did he know a gun was unsafe and that an actor was going to be killed.

  • ITA. It's the fault of the prop master.

  • Such a horrible thing to live with.

  • I just got goose bumps watching this.

    Brandon's gonna always be missed.

  • This is clearly Alex Proyas's fault. I feel bad for Massee as well. Proyas was the one who changed the scene.

  • how is it proya's fault. there are people who handle the props, brandon lee was killed because of a faulty prop. the prop handler's, the special effects team, there the ones to blame.

  • Poor guy..

  • Hate it that he will have to live with that for the rest of his life and that he is doing his best to move on.

  • Holy crap!!! Michael has aaaaaaaaaaaggggeeeedddddddd!!! Doesnt even look like same person from 14 years ago at all.

I like blaming things on someone cause it makes thing easier. I definitely dont belive it is his fault...but Id go with the director, Alex Proyas. Or the studio for budget cuts..

  • Man it still angers me till this day such a waste. I'm from Chicago and I remember when Rapid Fire (Brandons movie before The Crow)was filmed in Chicago and came out. I saw so much star power in him and being a fan of his father, I realized how great he was going to be and I was just a kid. He surely did make it to greatness afterall folling that movie up with The Crow.

My Favorite Movie of all time, Well done Brandon! r.i.p

  • Very true. He had star power in his performances.

  • how do I sign the petition for a star in hollywood for brandon and has his dad got one?

  • Go to the brandon lee movement site(see profile for address - they don't let you post url's here)

Bruce Lee received his in April 1993, three weeks after Brandon was killed.

  • Thanks my friend

  • Glad to hear what Mr.Massee's thoughts are on what happened.Thanks.If you are a Brandon fan and have not signed the petition to get him a star in Hollywood please do so

  • its nice to see michaels response to brandon lee death as a martial artist myself and a big fan of bruce and brandon lee it was nice to see that michael has moved on with his life but wont forget the tragedy of the past

  • I've always felt srry for him to have to fire the gun that killed brandon, because of another mans mistake, R.I.P. Brandon Lee

  • yeah bt it wasn't his fault whoever had the responsibilty of making sure the guns ddnt hav real bullets in them it's their fault.....

  • I can't imagine being in this man's shoes. What an awful thing to have to live with.

  • Thanks for posting this footage. Finally someone has spoken about the accident on camera.
