  • To set up midi with the e 09 do I justbplug in and it plays or is there a setting I have to set on the E 09 please respond I'm trying to hook it up to a native instrument Maschine

  • @TheKiki1292 > You want to use the E-09 as a controller, as a "master keyboard" ??

Just plug the midi cable into the "midi out" connector of the keyboard, then the other side of the cable into the "midi in" of your machine. You can play now. If not, verify the midi settings of the keyboard: the transmit channel parameter. It must have the same value on both machine. Else, you can set the "receive midi channel" parameter of your machine to "all" into also: it's more convenient ;)

  • @alpisofr ah that makes sense but this is the problem im having.

I want to use the many samples and sounds i have from maschine on the E 09 so i know i have to hook it up midi. Well i hooked it up midi, selected a sound on maschine and then i was able to play the sound. the problem im having is, i then connect my E 09 to my audio interface through a line out quarter inch jack, to be able to record what i play on the keyboard, but even though i am playing midi the interface is only picking up

  • @alpisofr only picking up the default piano sound from the keyboard, because if i turn the volume up on the keyboard i hear both the midi sound and the keyboards piano sounds not just the midi. so is it possible to be able to hook up my E 09 via line out and play the midi sounds from maschine??

a friend of my suggested getting an axiom Midi and hooking up the midi that way and since the axiom has a line out i can then plug that into my intferace and it will record the sounds that way. help? :(

  • @TheKiki1292 > A little bit confuse for me ^^' Do you want to play sounds from the E-09 or sounds from your machine ?

Don't make a jam between the audio produced by this product or another one,and the means to control them.

First, you can not "import" sounds from your machine into the E-09. Second, when you play sounds of your machine via Midi by the E-09,the sound is produced by the machine,so you need to record the Outputs of the machine not the E-09 ;)

  • 4:00 - I enjoyed the whole DEMO but don't forget one thing (usually synth musicians do) when playing WIND instruments, like the Oboe, which is: if you want to make it sound as real as possible you have to remember the musician breathing - you can't keep a note sounding for too long. Other than that, and again, good DEMO :))))

  • @cc1sportingtorver > Oh... yes, you're right ! And I know it ^.^'.....

We can't hear very well here, but there's a vibrato effect. Usually, I let it for a while before releasing the note... I agree that it could be too much. Maybe a good player could do what I did :p

  • I'm really considering buying this or the white one. I'm a sucker for nice workstations w/ onboard speakers.

  • u r my idol

  • sir i have a question your piano keyboard what made?? because here in philippines maid in china but under roland factory. hmm its still d same if maid in china? please answer this. thank you. :)

  • @stevefox47 > I should answer if I could :)

But I no longer own this keyboard. So, if someone else can answer, it will be great :)

  • what is the name of the song in 3:14-3:54 ?????

  • @TM123456789100 > You have all the titles of the songs I played at the end of the video ;)

    At 3:14, it's an improvisation.

At 3:26, this is the guitar part from the song "Dream of the shore". The song, written by MITSUDA Yasunori, is from the video game "Chrono Cross".

  • @alpisofr thank you my friend and by the way i love both your roland and your playing!!!!!!

  • the 112 is really cool.

    great video

  • 4:45 - alpisofr , did you try Bb after getting back to F? It's on the original "Garota de Ipanema"... still, very good =)

  • @JOSEENUNO > Woaw. Don't remember what I did ^^.

    Well, after some reviewing... I play : F6 - G7 - Gm7.

    But the Gm7 has these notes : Left Hand (G, D) - Right Hand (F, Bb, D, F).

About the sustain, you're saying I'm not using it correctly? Sometimes I think I'm abusing it. And I have to be aware to use it correctly : I'll give more realism in my playing ;)

  • @alpisofr Indeed, indeed =) F6 sounds great !!! After that (and as you say) G7, then Gm7, then F# (Gb) and back to F... and HERE is when I say that if you make a Bb (don't remember if you also make a 7 or a 7+) before repeating the whole sequence (bis) it will sound like a "call" to start again... try it !

I can also go through the song sheet and let you know exactly how I play it, or I can make a video on my E-86... no worries :D The truth is: I really enjoyed listening to you! Congrats !!!

  • @alpisofr Good. Well, the whole Gm7 chord has 4 notes (G,Bb, D and the 7th, which will be F - although I would do a 7+, which, in this case, will be F#). Still, I really enjoyed this video. Great songs =)

  • Great, alpisofr !!! You gave me some new ideas and I'll surely gonna try them on my E-86. Thanks!

  • Do you think it's best keyboard in this price? Have you any problems with this Roland? :]

  • @Tamtomasz > about what I was looking for, this was the best at this time. Maybe the price was a little big for this range, but I've no regrets about my choice. I had a trouble with this keyboard, with the speakers. I did a deal with the shop, so I "upgraded" it to a Prelude ^^

  • @alpisofr

erm........hey can you help me out..............what was the deal you did.........

i also own this keyboard..........but am dying for a new one..... as i love to tweak around with the sounds.somethingyou cannot do with this .........please tell me what you did.......

  • @Tamtomasz If I may answer... it's, for sure, one of the best... count on it !!!

  • is prelude dis continued now a days??? if not then can u help me with the selection of a good synth or keyboard within the range of Rs40,000

    thank you...

  • @9322002898

prelude costs around 75,000..Rupes..............within 40,ooo juno d is your best bet.... but i would prefer a yamaha s710 or likewise....as yamahas are better value for money........

  • are the keys weighted????

  • @giulio123 > No, they are not !

  • can it make a slide for the guitar?....

  • @msmirror87 > Compared to the Prelude, with a slide effects when you play at maximum velocity : no, the E-09 doesn't have this effect ;)

  • which pedal r u using ????

  • @brijmohaniit : this is the sustain pedal !

  • @alpisofr which model and company ????

  • @brijmohaniit : Well... on the pedal this is wrote "Mgear". I didn't find the model. As I don't know this company, I don't mind about this, it runs :) !

(you can buy a first price pedal, it would be ok)

  • @alpisofr What is? Sustain is something you HAVE to use, of course... mostly when playing Piano, Guitars and so on... but the truth is: WELL DONE !!!

  • muito bom

  • muito bom!

  • Is that Terranigma, krysta theme??? ♥ 3:56

  • awesome

do you know if juno Di have the same guitars sound?

  • @PatrickKanzentai Sorry, I don't know ^^

  • great sounding keyboard. good job

  • This is an amazing keyboard

  • You are my GOD >> !!!! chrono cross ! so fucking cool! at 3:26

  • im thinking of buying this one, does it come with a foot pedal?

  • Not at all! This is an option, you'll need to buy/reuse one ;)

  • Je ne parle pas français bien/souvent.

    E-09, Est-il bien?

  • Well, I purchased it for its sounds.

    I really appreciate them!

It not a super-machine with tons of functions, just the basics ;)

  • @alpisofr

    Thanks.

What my father was looking for :-)

I play synths, but he wanted an arranger/workstation.

  • @alpisof: is it better than psr 2100 ? must tell me ...

  • @fast584 : Well, for sounds, I prefer the Roland. But this is a subjective opinion. Other people would prefer yamaha.

About functions, the PSR 2100, is better. For example: the full graphical screen that allow direct access to mixer functions...

  • You are grate ! Thx for this video !

  • Thanks you for the posting. I just sold

an EXR5 which I wished I had kept but the buyer is keeping it. I have an Oxygen

8v2 so can do accurate edits on the sequencer and have this keyboard on order. Looking forward to playing it.

  • good one mate... thanks for the videos... !! :)

  • Green Day LOL.

  • SOunds identical to an acoustic guitar.

I have a CTK 900 Casio which I thought was pretty good but now I am switching to a Rolland E 09. Can't wait to get it.

  • excellent à 1:28 :-)

  • 0:53

  • Hello!

Please if it's possible to show in detail how to write own composition on this keyboard? I don't understand how to do it.

    Thank's

  • Im chosing between this keyboard and the yamaha PSR E403. What would you recommend me? thks everybody!

  • super demo(+5)...

  • have a good firtur, have a good sounds, voice, style the price of the keyboard wiil be expensive. like as the Roland G7ya...everyone have opinion feelings & it's subjective....but why they are so expensive ? because they are so nice,so good,so real, have a good quality. i mean the high class of Yamaha like Tyros style not the under Yamaha tryros.

  • ya... yuo right.but i has and ever listerning the Ketron, GEM keyboard is not rather than Yamaha Style. i thinks the very good style is Yamaha. i not use the Yamaha Keyboard i use Roland Fantom X7. and my experience is the No 1 Style is Yamaha and No 1 sounds/voice is Roland ( the Real Sounds ). what abaout yuo think friends?

  • I share your opinion, but I think that everyone has is own opinion about sounds and styles, because it's about feelings; it's subjective.

For my part, I listened yamaha, roland, gem, ketron and korg keyboards. And I rather prefer my GEM keyboard: for sounds and styles! (except ketron, but they are expensive!!)

  • i thing sound quality is roland no 1

style No 1 is Yamaha....what yuo thing friends ?

  • Well.. I agree with this... :-)

In fact, I prefer sounds from roland!

And yes, I admit that Yamaha have good styles.

Did you listen some styles from italian's keyboards manufacturers (Ketron, GEM...) ?

I prefer their style rather than yamaha!

Take a look; or an ear ;-) !

  • spend some time reading about Korg Oasys or M3

  • Cool man : )

  • i cant record drums or sounds on the record button :S its not good

  • very nice.

  • SUPER COOL !
