'Cause then you'd pretty much have to lose your special gauntlets. (I'm pretty sure right? If it has golden gauntlet powers, it pretty much has to...)
@linkplaya You can skip the child side of spirit temple. What I did was complete the entire child side but just dont open the silver gauntlets treasure chest.

@Keblash You don't need any strength upgrade to complete the Spirit Temple. Search for "spirit temple silver block skip" for more details. Furthermore, black gauntlets have the equivalent strength of the golden gauntlets - I'm not sure about the other gauntlets.

Hey now that I have my black gauntlets, I don't want to lose them so I'll ask this here - if you become a kid and then back to adult do you keep them? Also I assume if you save and quit you will still have them when you get back on?
doot of time skip if you want, just make sure you get an empty bottle before you get the master sword otherwise i think your screwed... i have a file on my gamecube version that i think is done for...

Another question though, this may not be the best place to ask, since this video isnt directly related to the steal the rod glitch, but my question is about that. My question is, does the rod glitch require a shield equiped? because im new to that glitch, but once i learned how to do it, with a shield on, i was able to do it 2 / 8 or so attempts. but once i took the shield off, i tried about 20 times without success. I only ask, cause im on a 3 heart - No shield - MQ game right now.
There are videos and walkthroughs that show, that YES! it does work on 3DS version, BUT it requires slightly different steps. like i think you need the chicken egg, not the chicken egg hatched. If i were you, id look it up.
But it just occured to me. When you enter the spirit temple as an adult, the only real thing stopping you from completing the adult half, is the lack of an ability to push the giant silver/grey stone block. Thats what sets in motion the need to go back in time to get the silver gauntlets in the first place. But now we have the coloured ones, so it may be possible to skip the child half entirely, and just carry on with the adult half like nothing ever happened.
Now, you say that getting any other gauntlets will overwrite the coloured ones. i can understand this. my question is, then is it possible to finish the game with these? since getting the silver gauntlets at least are required to complete. does having the coloured gauntlets change this somehow, or are black/green ones destined to go away? (since blue ones from getting the silver also give you gold, and i dont thing the gold ones are required story wise like the silver are)
@McTravDad yea, but as i tried to say, and as is said, the colored gauntlets have the same capability as the gold. so you can lift the giant pillars with the coloured gauntlets. So you dont have to get them, because you can just use the coloured ones. thats why i asked about the silver ones. They are story critical. IE, you NEED to pick them up to continue the story. (so you can watch the cutscene where Nabooru gets sucked into the dark portal, and you have to go and save her)

You can get bomchu's without doing all that well shit i think... all you have to do is win the bomchu bowling alley game in town, so "maybe" you dont have to glitch the well
TO get the pink gauntlets you must move 2 inches up, 2 inches left and then right. Do a roll. Pause. Play the song of time. Use bombs to blow your health down to 1 heart, then do a back flip and right after side step to the right. Then you must move 2 inches down, then 2 inches right. Again perform a backflip. Press A. Pause it and unpause. Then drink a potion to heal yourself. Again use bombs to lower your health to 1 heart. Do a roll. Do a back flip. Do a roll. Press A twice then B once.
@sonicboy884 very unlikely, you can try, i mean, its not that hard and in my save file i have all the expectations except the pocket cuuco so it dosent requiere you to glitch out the whole game.
@lolraptourz actually there is a way to get past dodongo cavern without the bracelet. you have to glitch into the well as a kid in kakariko using a cuckoo. then go through trying to do another glitch to get knocked through the map because of a skulltula. get that one to work and you can get bombachus early and that works in dodongo cavern instead of bomb flowers. check for the vid on early bombachus as kid link. after you get the bombs from the cavern you don't really use the bracelet anymore.
no its all true, my friend and each have game files with the different gauntlets, you just need to know how to get through the game with skipping a ton of necessary items (only true zelda fans know how)

The fairy will stay glitched only until after you beat the 1st(forest Temple) Temple. after you have beaten the 1st temple she will go back to normal warning you of a problem with a cloud over death mountain. as the video explains your inventory will be a bit fucked until you get your golden scale. then go get your second seed bag as a child by beating the rupe shooting game in center hyrule.

But basicly your fairy is stuck in awe that you need to go get your second spiritual stone(but still works functional as an informant) also for example the blocks in forest temple which you will need to have beaten to go back in time to break all your deku sticks( if you've forgoten to before hand) Those blocks cannot be moved... So my only option was bomb hovering exploit to beat that temple. after you get your colored gauntlets all problems but the fairy are fix
ok just an update for anyone wondering. This does work. I went ahead and figured what the hell. gave it a shot. It works. I went for the hardest pair.(obviously the black sense you have to skip the goron bracelet ) What doesn't get mentioned. Is if you skip the goron bracelet( your fairy is stuck telling you to go to get your second spiritual stone forever. also Its much harder to get the black ones. Because some bigger blocks you can't push like you normally could(example forest temple)
Interestingly enough, on the 3DS version, this glitch puts Din's Fire on B, rather than giving me the gauntlets. Now my sword won't work... brilliant.
why do you show every step in the video and then when it comes to the last step, you cut away from the video to "finally,re-equip your sword and..." then cut back to a picture of link in a completely different area.... seems fishy to me.
@flashinmahcash When you get the gauntlets it doesn't tell you that you got them, there's no animation or special thing that happens. You just realize that his gloves are now green or w/e.
@WarmSnow37 That's totally possible. You just don't pick up the heart containers when they drop from bosses. You can do a full 3 heart run of the game.
The thing that confuses me is how can you get the black ones without cheating? You have to have the Goron Bracelet to finish the 2nd dungeon. There's no way to be an adult without it.

You have to remember that bottle adventure glitches are very dangerous if not done exactly correct. What I do is copy my main file and use one for glitches so my data is safe.

@FunnyBunneeez You can also get the scarecrow's song (play a tune for the scarecrow in Lake Hylia as a child, play it again as an adult.) If you play it near the ledge the fishing place is at, the scarecrow will appear. Just hookshot to him.
@SUMNERTHEMAN he simply never grabbed more than 1 heart container, it's very possible, i beat the game w/o magic or collexting ANY heart containers/pieces (elemental arrows rapid-fire and yet still function w/o magic)
I'm trying to get this to work in oot3d, but when I catch the fish in the bottle and go to my inventory and press a on my sword it does not get re-equipped, and if i equip the giants knife and then the master sword, i get no colored gauntlets... ive got the pocket cucco on the II button, and im using the farores wind method to steal the rod. getting the deku stick on b by going in the water, then in and out of the fishing place

So wait, I just double checked myself. The fairy will stay glitched only until after you beat the 1st(forest Temple) Temple. after you have beaten the 1st temple she will go back to normal warning you of a problem with a cloud over death mountain. as the video explains your inventory will be a bit fucked until you get your golden scale. then go get your second seed bag as a child by beating the rupe shooting game in center hyrule.

sorry post count cut me short. But basicly your fairy is stuck in awe that you need to go get your second spiritual stone(but still works functional as an informant) also for example the blocks in forest temple which you will need to have beaten to go back in time to break all your deku sticks( if you've forgoten to before hand) Those blocks cannot be moved... So my only option was bomb hovering exploit to beat that temple. after you get your colored gauntlets all problems but the fairy are fix

ok just an update for anyone wondering. This does work. I went ahead and figured what the hell. gave it a shot. It works. I went for the hardest pair.(obviously the black sense you have to skip the goron bracelet ) What doesn't get mentioned. Is if you skip the goron bracelet( your fairy is stuck telling you to go to get your second spiritual stone forever. also Its much harder to get the black ones. Because some bigger blocks you can't push like you normally could(example forest temple)

why do you show every step in the video and then when it comes to the last step, you cut away from the video to "finally,re-equip your sword and..." then cut back to a picture of link in a completely different area.... seems fishy to me.

@flashinmahcash When you get the gauntlets it doesn't tell you that you got them, there's no animation or special thing that happens. You just realize that his gloves are now green or w/e.

@WarmSnow37 That's totally possible. You just don't pick up the heart containers when they drop from bosses. You can do a full 3 heart run of the game.
The thing that confuses me is how can you get the black ones without cheating? You have to have the Goron Bracelet to finish the 2nd dungeon. There's no way to be an adult without it.

@MarioManiac503 : It said in the video that you need Bombchus from the Spirit Temple or Bottom of the Well. There are other videos on youtube that show how to get to both of them early.

unfortunately no you can't you have to start a new file. = (
You have to remember that bottle adventure glitches are very dangerous if not done exactly correct. What I do is copy my main file and use one for glitches so my data is safe.

@FunnyBunneeez You can also get the scarecrow's song (play a tune for the scarecrow in Lake Hylia as a child, play it again as an adult.) If you play it near the ledge the fishing place is at, the scarecrow will appear. Just hookshot to him.

@SUMNERTHEMAN he simply never grabbed more than 1 heart container, it's very possible, i beat the game w/o magic or collexting ANY heart containers/pieces (elemental arrows rapid-fire and yet still function w/o magic)

I'm trying to get this to work in oot3d, but when I catch the fish in the bottle and go to my inventory and press a on my sword it does not get re-equipped, and if i equip the giants knife and then the master sword, i get no colored gauntlets... ive got the pocket cucco on the II button, and im using the farores wind method to steal the rod. getting the deku stick on b by going in the water, then in and out of the fishing place

Sorry, ill be more clear, to get your sword back go to the temple of time and turn into kid then back into adult.
and you don't need to re-equip your sword to get the color Gauntlets, make sure you have a bottle on b and
catch the bugs.Put the bugs on the Y button back flip and press Y SUPER FAST then B Fast then you will get the bugs on B. Might take a few tries. But in the deku stick part for 3DS to get the sticks when you stole the rod go back in the fishing place then leave.
