  • The Reason your almost spinning on your down shifts is because you are not bliping before you let out the clutch, and your engine is making the rear wheels break and therefore making the rear end kick out. Practice heal-toe downshifting with good blips and it will fix that issue. Good Driving, J

  • Agreed.

Never really got the heal-toe down in this car.

The throttle is too far away for my narrow feet. I added a wider pedal brake and a higher/ wider throttle pedal, but sat to high with new brake pads, so I removed the wider throttle before going to Roebling, when rushed (As is IROC on my bumper.) I stabbed next to the throttle a couple of times while going in too hot to adjust my foot. Roebling punished bad heel-toe, really a track where smooth footwork pays off!

  • No thanks, I can't left foot brake anyway, but it's no video game or race car. It's my daily driver ;-)

  • Very True...If I might make another suggestion. Try left foot breaking. Considering that you never get below third gear you will be able to accomplish this without damage to your gearbox. Be sure to down shift by giving your engine big blips with your right foot and slipping the shifter in to the appropriate gear for that corner. This takes some patience, fineness, and practice but this is a tried and true method if you don't a sequential gear box. I would not recommend below 2nd gear.
