Um o.o No, they don't... Actually, Light hates L in the show, more then anything. But pretends to be L's friend. And later in the show, like.. I think Episode 18 or so, Something like that. I don't remember, but Light makes Rem ( shinigami) kill L. And Light takes L's " place "
