  • Wonderfull song. Thanks for uploading.

  • Or so sweet......Dil bohoth darth karththaahii.....

  • i think it is a great song.... it takes a genius to get inspired from another one.... the surround music is always great in salil da's compositions

  • mozart: symphony #40 in G Minor.......... complete copy in mukhda

  • @adpandya but I feel the antra is actually an improvement on mozart's theme. beautifully adapted. Don't underestimate Indian musicality, it is thousands of years older than its western counterpart. peace

  • In Madhumati, chhaya and Usne Kaha Tha, Salil da has given some of the finest romantic duets of the cinema. the music is melodius and the words point towards deepest commitment wows. Simply classic and timelss!!!

  • long ling plagiarism in Bollywood

  • @bow2rito v=8iyv6g5Lq4ozz

  • omg!!!! what a lovely song. music, singers, situation and actors are just fantastic. i' m unable to understand how 10 people can dislike it

  • salil chaoudhasri's composer, fatehchand.

  • what a song...wah!!!

  • this song would definitely make a terrible remix if some beats are added

  • I don't think adapting something is bad, its depends on how it is adapted, I would rather prefer listening to Salil Da's adaptation then Anu Malik's stolen filth, no creativity in that.

  • magical music......

  • nice pick

  • Simply amazing.

  • please also listen to mozart symphony 40 in g minor.. both are magical. youtube.com/watch?v=aZD9nt_wsY0&feature=related

  • please also listen to mozart symphony 40 in g minor.. both are magical.

  • One of the best composition or indian Version of Mozar..... Pravin Maru

  • AJ KAL EK KANYA MERE FER ME HAIOR ME USE YE HI GEET SUNATA HUN BT VO SAMAJHTI HI NAHI THANKS TALAT SALIL SUNIL,AND ASHA JI AND ALL TEAM,

  • mozart 40

  • awsm song:))

  • You have to at least be able to understand Mozart's symphony in order to 'copy' it...Let's see if the modern music composers can do that!!!!

  • Hats Off.. too good song. . .

  • copy or not but the lyrics are awesome.....we don't get to hear these kinda lyrics in songs these days

  • @hoomesh -Glad u liked the lyrics by Rajinder Krishan..I`m sure Dad will have a smile from up there. Not that he was affected by fame & adulation; he just did his job..& mostly very well...

  • @manimajra1 (contd)....if credit is given to the genre, it is not a copy. It is an issue of the genre, which is clearly recognized by all listeners (that it belongs to this genre) so the argument of folk is irrelevant here..

  • @manimajra1: also as a reply to what you said about folk music, i want to say that if a music is inspired by folk music, it means that the song has a folk base. In this genre, there are a lot of chances of a couple of notes repeating in a small sequence, which is accepted - because every folk music always has a set rhythm, and a typically notable style. So to bring in this style, people will have to repeat a few notes..(contd..)

  • @manimajra1 1 : well... i never said that this song isn't nice or anything like that... just to get it clear... I love the song, and I sincerely respect everyone behind it.. and if its an "inspiration" and not a copy, he would have mentioned it somewhere or the other ..that he was inspired by mozart etc... and if he has, i agree that this is an inspiration... but if he has "copied" it, he wouldn't have mentioned...or at least he wouldn't have mentioned that he used the inspiration for this song.

  • Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart - Symphony 40 in G min KV 550

  • This song is a copy of Mozart's Symphony No. 40 in many places.

  • @dhwani182 yeah still a very nice song.. talat mahmood could have asked mozart for permission only if he was still alive...songs like the 40th symphony are in the public domain by now (beyond copyright laws)

  • @dhwani182 This is not a copy, it is a brilliantly done inspiration by Salil Chowdhary. There is lot of difference between a copy and a brilliant inspired work like this.

BTW going by ur defination then all the music inspired by folk music is a copy.

  • Love this song!!!

  • kitnaa sundar bhaav hai :)

  • wow aaha parekh so young and fresh i almost diddnt recognise her! lovely...

  • @navsikand That's true friend. I also was really uncertain until I saw your comment!

  • So much beauty... so much sincerity.. how did our cinema become like this today!

  • Love this song very much..

  • nothing like that. we never find a substitute in coming years of that kind of a song . i salute to great voice

  • one of all time hit not enough to here it one time

  • love this deeply and immensely

  • mera bharat desh india i love you

  • I like the way the MD basis the song on Mozart's symphony as if it was an Indian raag. I think it's inspiration but it is presented very well and with quite a bit creativity. Really I like the song. However the inspiration was credited it would be better.

  • love it! unbeatable!

  • the song is set in question and answer form which makes quite mesmerising and all the more logical ..lyrical quality of the song is at its best leaving the audience yearning for more

  • The genius of Salil Chowdhury. Beautifully inspired by Mozart's symphony no. 40.

  • @mehra2000 Great obeservation buddy :P

  • @mehra2000 so nicely put in words :)

  • Salil is no more. So also Nutan and Sunil. Talat is no more !!! But are they not still alive !!! Creative art lives and lives. The artists donot die !!!

  • @mehra2000

Correction, its actually Beethovens Symphony # 40

  • @amirnt30

Recorrection, it is actually Mozart's Symphony # 40 1st Movement

    You need better ears!

  • A masterpiece of Salil Choudhury based on one of Mozart,s Concertos, however there is a mistake in the title given here it should be - " Itna na mujhse tu pyar badha"

  • this is the best song <3

  • Fantastic Composition... Well Sung Lata didi and Talat saab

  • Bahot khub Talat Sahab... deewana bana dega ye geet..

  • Okay Now even if this one has the mozarts tune what does it matters...After all no symphony is Good for normal humans if it does not has words--Its lullaby without words--And Please appreciate the LYRICS here..The eternal relation of Clouds and rain...Now you will say it was inspired by owl-city "Butterfly Song"..Then it would be absurd isn't it...

  • @tarunvash ....agree with your opinion on the lyrics.. but i dont agree with what u said about the symphone. ..it isn't necessarily a "lullaby without words" ..but i still vote up for your comment :)

  • @tarunvash

For your information its known as plagiarising which the Indian Film Industry often did in the days of yore. You have heard of copy right infringment and such things I am sure.

  • beautiful song all time fav... wat beautiful song

  • such a nice song!

  • I agree with lahiridilli. No one can be so great not to be inspired with others work. But I think it is important to acknowledge the source. Sometimes one feels that this should have been my creation why did not I do this and then you do something similar!

  • superb lyrics

  • Naushad was probably the only one who didn't copy music of others in India.

  • this video enchanters the prestigious feelings of my heart emboding me in the passion of lonely spirit.

  • Nice song. I Like it.

  • Melodious music and equally good lyrics

  • a teenager is always uncertain but adorable .

  • beautiful. thnx

  • "Isliye tujhse mein pyaar karoo, ke tu ek baadal awara, janam janam se hoon saath tere, hai naam mera jalki dhaara" what words, what emotions, and what love ! Talat Mehmood and Lataji's best old time duet. Only true love in these words, as the music starts, it starts to hipnotise our all mind and thoughts. And even find it hard to come out, after the song is finished ! Thanks to uploader, you must be as nice as this song. Thanks for nice gift on you tube.

  • GOD !!!!! What r u guys doing???? Fighting over stalwarts whom we cannot match in our wildest dreams. Just listen to the song, feel it and tears will roll out.

Pls do not use harsh words like "chor" one can be inspired by some other's music, writing, paintings etc. If you have produced 1000 art pieces whatever be the field of art, and have used somebody elses ideas in 100 of them that is permissible. Unfortunately these days the percentage has increased to 70.

  • I LIKE THIS SONG VERY MUCH

  • ANNU MALIK is son of SARDAR MALIK. If u read the life history of salil you will find that he was a great person as well. As a composer he is well respected .... He enhanced the beauty of mozart's symphony 1000 times.

  • this song is dedicated to Rukhsar(manisha Desai)

  • Reminds me ...... sigh !

  • Some years ago i used to listen this song on my Philips device by playing LP disk, alas hundreds of my records have stolen,so thank you u tube for providing audio-video.

  • I am sure Mozart was quite fond of Indian movies

  • yeah, he said in an interview that this movie directly influenced him to write the symphony 40

  • The song is sure an improvement of Mozart's tune. The singers and the music director are lot more greater than the tune of Mozart. We don't know for sure where did Mozart picked up this tune. Poetry is a masterpiece by itself. I think it is an honor for Mozart that this tune has been sung by such great singers, who are heard all over the world, much more than Mozart itself. Lahori Munda from New York

  • @MAYOGARDENS I won't say "You must be crazy". Rather, I'll say that you're definitely bonkers, dude!! Mozart's tune is a masterpiece, Chaudhary is a chor (Anu Malik's daddy) :)

  • non nathuran cette symphony n'a pas de mozart comme tu penses mais de bethoven.

  • Sur part of this song is a tune of Mozart's Symphony #40

  • not o nly influenced it is directly take over from mozart this tune appeared in an album in early 60s as arbian nights same was also synchrosised with fountains in mysore dam gardens

  • rating 2000.

  • Timeless classic. Many thanks.

  • @jyotiprakashguha1

Yessssssss!! So, It's just not me!

  • Appears to be influenced from Mozart Symphony # 40? Does anyone else agree?

  • agreed, the music part is not, but the tune and flow of the words are surely inspired as they say :P

  • Yeah absolutely. All you gotta do is hear it on youtube Mozzart symphony 40

  • One of the best old song

  • Hey thats is Aisha Parekh on its early stage. Marvellous.

  • tell me plz who's she cute actress

  • plz tell me who's she cute actress

  • This actress is Aisha Parekh and actor is Sunil Dutt

  • VERY OLD SONG I LIKE IT

  • Original tune by Mozart but this lovely HINDI memory is by SHALIL CHAWDHURY.

  • one of my favourites

  • The melody is directly taken from Mozart's G Minor Symphony (no.40). Very creative!!

  • Even though the tune is copied, this song sounds so much better than Mozart symphony :-)

  • They both are good in their own way

  • nice song

  • This is inspired by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's 40th symphony in G minor (the first movement)

    JPG

  • melody i like much.

  • REALY it's osam

  • thank yu very much up loding this song thanks

  • The song is inspired by a MOZART requiem tune.Music know no boundaries.Listening to the song one feels the lyrics & the tunes were made for each other.Selection of Talatji & Lataji by the composer is an another good point for the song.

  • Timeless classics. Once I heard this song I fell in love with it. Beautiful song. I have no words to explain.

  • Old is always gold.

  • awesome song no doubt

  • Mozart was great!!!!

  • Even Creation was but a Dream!

For all the technological advances made have we thrown out the baby with the bath water, I wonder!! Let's Dream until the good times materialise..

  • The innocence of those times will come round again...God willing!

  • YA WE CAN ONLY HOPE..

  • kash aisa ho jata!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @tonykuli. Sadly, it will not. It cannot. However, we have enough of it of the past preserved in our memories with which we can get along.

  • Same here!!!! I wonder if if was really like it was in the movies back then..but one cna dream right?

  • again grrrr8 song. OLD IS GOLD ALWAYS

  • Salil Chowdhary certainly gave some extremely melodious music, a quality missing in most of today's songs. Thanks for posting.

  • oh i love sunil dutt. He is my all time favorite i m lucky i found this song.

i like sanjay dutt coz he is sunil's son.

  • I am too small a person to comment on such melodious song.

  • @DrZulqarnain

don't be a idiot so what hell is this ?then ?

good song very nice old stuff

  • I absolutely agree with swimtube007, nothing recorded in the last 20 years (25?) can touch a single song of the 50's, 60's and 70's. And as Liberate006A says - AWESOME SONG!!!!!!

  • songs from the last 20 years put together on one side and this gem of a song on the other side .... and still this one single song out class all the songs that have been done in the last 20 years...

    Old is Gold...

  • Please correct the first word of title to Itna from Ithna

  • Oh Asha parekh so cute, so beautiful, awsome. Really. looking like a high school student

  • Excellent song. Asha looks so young and beautiful. Such innocence. Reminds me of my younger days.. Thanks for posting.

  • Beautiful , lovely song of LOVE.

  • sunil and asha, absolutely fabulous. they dont make them like that anymore!! real romance not porn

  • a very young asha, talat mehmood again gives a smooth delivery , but i prefer the solo version

  • good collection

  • its really a nice loving song i love this song a lot

  • i FULLY AGREE THAT ALTHOUGH it is stolen but nicely indianised by the GREAT SALIL CHAUDHARY ... He was great ...not a chor at all ----- he might have liked it too much and wanted indian people to enjoy it .... his antras are original --- not everyone can do it in such a beautiful way ..... his genius is being reflected in every second of the song ---- in my opinion he enhanced the mozart's song's beauty and added a big value to it----

  • @masif322 Hahaha - You make me laugh!! Salil Chaudhary is a CHOR, and nothing else. What else will you call someone who picks someone else music, dude? Yes, his genius is reflected in the fact that he stole this song, forget the antras! Can you please confirm - Anu Malik ke baap ka naam Salil Chaudhary hai kya?

  • my all time fav song..

  • Although stolen, the song composition is still great. Singers are magnificient, no doubt, and the actors are truly a "sight for sore eyes". As I remember, the movie is also lovely, a feel good movie, which can be termed as a 'chick-flick' in today's times.

  • is that Asha parekh?if it is...my goodness she is gorgeous!!!

  • It is Asha ..and yes, she is gorgeous!

She looks good with her hair in the pony tails too.....

  • So is Sunil Dutt !! What dignity.

  • i heard this song on radio i dont remeber the time when i was very young. the music is so good that few words left in my mind and when i heard it. it took me to a different world. thanks for sharing this lovely song.

  • Great song! One of my favourites! Thank you for sharing this wonderful song with YouTube community.

  • the music is an exact slow renderation of Mozart's 40th symphony...that has been slowed down and Indianized...but still an amazing composition that cant be achieved by all!!!!

  • I totally agree. Its an amazing redering of Mozart's 40 sym. Though that is a worldly masterpiece, this is a bollywood masterpiece. I now cannot listen to this song by itself, I usually play mozart's after the 1st couple of sentences.

  • what a song!! can anybody tell who the music director is?

    thanks.

  • Music Director is the great Salil Chowdhury.

    Enjoy !!

  • waht a lovely song ,
